I sort of agree with Fountainhall. Shit happens, and to me death is one of the main reasons why people are religious. However, I will not disparage these religious people in taking comfort in a belief in God's plan or that everything happens according to God's will. If it is a comfort for religious people to believe that it's God's will, and that's what they need to get them through an ordeal. I'll leave them to find strength and comfort in what they believe. Like Fountainhall and as an atheist, I clearly see were it can be a problem when ANY death is considered God's will. Is it's God's will that someone gets drunk and plows into a crowd, killing himself and others? Where is personal responsibility in a case like that? What about the innocents that just happened to be standing on the sidewalk? Is it God's will that they too should die? Is it God's will that someone die because they smoked, ate too much, took dope, committed suicide? As I said, shit happens. We can't blame it all on God. However, Death will come to all. Some ways are quicker than others. In my opinion, the worse way is the wasting away of old age. It can take years. God's will or not, If I could avoid that kind of death I would readily take my own life.

I know what you mean Bob. I've heard that Bangkok has too few boys for him and he is moving to China where it will take him a couple of years to deflower them all. Remember that photo of Mao swimming in the river in his sixties, well I hear a certain British expat can top that display of good health over and over and over again.

I have been out of touch with the Thai gay community for the last seven days while I and my BF were in Shanghai. Anything with the word gay in it is blocked in China and I had no access to any message boards, or Facebook for that matter. I have pictures of Shanghai and Beijing to post and a write up on the gay bars in Shanghai, but you will have to wait a few days until I can play catch-up. I do have one very important thing to add to any trip to China. One of the most important holidays in China is May day and this year it was three days long. If any of you have any doubt that there are one billion people in China I would suggest you plan a trip during that period of time. All your doubts will be removed as you are urgently shoved from place to place. Nevertheless, we had a great time and there is much that is positive to say about the country.

I agree that when a board owner makes it impossible to defend yourself that it can and probably should be mentioned on another board. It should be mentioned just to warn other posters of what kind of behavior is going on on that board. I know that when the subject comes up, I feel the need to warn others that what you say on another board can and will get you kicked off Gaybutton's board without any defense possible.

I told my BF mine was over 10, and was he surprised when he found out I meant centimeters instead of inches. You might say he is "stuck" with it now.

It just been so long since I was groped that I forgot how mad I used to get when someone did that to me. You are absolutely correct. In the USA if you grope people without permission you can be arrested, and that is the way it should be.

Don't get me started or I will point out how people not pressure cookers kill.

Bob has done his usual outstanding job describing the legal framework, but I completely understand why you cannot understand the reasoning. Like many things in government it took a long time and a very twisted path to get to this definition starting in 1961. Here is the very good background article that I found when I was arguing gun laws with you that gives the history and the reasoning for the present definition. http://www.ndu.edu/press/lib/pdf/CSWMD-OccasionalPapers/CSWMD_OccationalPaper-8.pdf

The only insult I see is where someone paints the people he sees in Chiang Mai as sad and depressed and then proceeds to make pronouncement about the town where they live that have no basis in reality. I do hope you haven't forgotton that several of the posters here are from Chiang mai when you allowed that post. Odd, I did read it as an endorsement of a incredible statement about the city I choose to live in. Forget for one minute all about Zombie, and just answer one question for me and I will realize the error of my ways. Neal accused you of PMing several members to get them to come to this board. My only question is did you invite Zinzone to join this board by PM or any other means of communication?

Dear oh dear, so you are unable to read either. I am not condemning all sex tourist, quite the contrary. however, you can say--as i admited --that I was demonstrating bullshit logic similar to what you use.

So is it your point that someone can go into a club filled with out of town people and determine what the residents of Chiang Mai are like. Also, can someone decide in a couple of days without asking a local or doing some research what kind of boys are in town or available? From an earlier message I think that you could not, but a gentleman from New York who often posted on SGT contacted me and I took him to a club where such boys are available. He already had a posse with him, as he had found that kind of boy at Adams Apple, so he left with his three boys in tow, perfectly happy. These bottom boys are there. All you have to do is some research, or ask. What you are never--or at least now--going to find is these kind of boys in one area of town and on stage, able and willing. If you have ever looked at any report on gay Chiang mai you would have known that was true before you even arrived. So if you get disappointed it is your own fault, and to slam the town, or even worse, the residents is the height of arrogance and just plain stupid. How is that for face value?

Great report Devint, glad you had a good time. I am amazed at how many ex-pats hide during Song Kran. Nice to see you are not one of them. I enjoyed my fourth Song Kran here in Chiang mai where it last three to four days, and yes, all the same rules are ignored. I have traveled to many places in the world, and I cannot think of where an event like this can take place without some tremendous mayhem going on at the same time. I, for one, have never seen a fight in Chiang Mai, and watching the fun the kids have during this holiday more then makes up for a little getting wet or powdered. You must look like your picture. No-one except my BF ever gropes me during song kran. Again, thanks for the pictures and report.

Of course, but it did provide a lead-in to his dumb comment about patrons at at Adams Apple. Who, by the way, are mostly from his neck of the woods. I really think he was probably looking into opne of the many mirrors on the walls at the time he came to this conclusion. This is not the first time this man has come up with this crap. I am surprised that you regular posters on SGT do not recognize Zinzone. He said almost the same thing word for word on SGT and both I and bon ton, someone I often disagree with, told him how wrong he was to believe that. However, he is just dumb enough to believe he knows better then us what Chiang Mai is like in his short visit here. Perceptive or just full of ....---you decide.

Why not attack your grammer if it reads like your logic. So you prefer boys in the bar where they are easy to find. I am sure for the right amount of money (probably a lot) they would even tell you what a nice guy you are. Also your brilliance in reading the expats in Chiang mai from your stool in Adams Apple is truly underwhelming, as much as how you can discern from GR what the boys truly think. Hint, whatever you want them to think. I am astonished at how many expats we have moving here from Pattaya and Bangkok, because they are tired of associating with the sex tourist that predominate the gay scene in both cities. While I have met some great people who are here as sex tourist, most are like a bad beachlover description. However, I am sure those would be the ones you would be most at home with. Of course, I am using the same bullshit logic here as you use to describe the people you viewed in Adams Apple. It seems to work for you, so I thought I would sound stupid as well.

Many equals three or four. I have been to all of those places and most of the boys I meet on or off stage are from the poorer areas of Thailand. I have meet a lot of boys from Bangkok up here in Chiang Mai. You think maybe these boys move around a lot, or is that just too simple an answer for you? How about there are plenty of bottoms here, but you can't find them---a thought that I am sure has not occurred to you, but is obvious to me. The "we" is the customers you referred to "subdued and depressing. And could say the same for some of the customers too" Yes, thank you for mentioning my review. However, you ability to read is right up there with you grammar and punctuation, as this new bar owner is from the Radchada area in Bangkok where you seem to like the scene.

Good, we can count on you not coming back? Most of the boys in these places are from Issan. News flash, Chiang Mai is not Issan. There are plenty of bottom boys in Chiang Mai, but they are not on stage with a number stuck to them. It takes skill and personality to meet them. Sorry you failed. G-Star. Went to the club tonight and was underwhelmed. The music so loud you cannot talk, there are no chairs, and it is mostly Thais who are not gay. The show is all straight Shan boys who did a good dance, but were not readily available to customers. They were in their underwear, and if you are a bottom they were great. The only single drinks were beers. For the rest you had to buy or bring a bottle. Red Label 1150 Baht, mixers 35 baht, ice bucket 70 baht, and beer 120 Baht. Very similar to Seaman club, but wit5h no chairs and too loud music. They need to change their format. They were crowded, because they are new, but like Seaman club when the newness wears off they will abandon it to go to Mandalay where the real action is.

Adams Apple has changed mamasans--well added a newer one--and does have a new format, and several younger guys. Still not to my taste and the show is still a mix of porn and drag. The two surviving bars in the night market have moved and are doing very good business in spite of an attempt by one web site to make people go elsewhere---like to his location--by falsely panting the area as dangerous and filled with underage straight hill tribe boys. We do have a new bar from the Bangkok crowd and I am going tonight with another poster from this site to check it out. It is called g-star and I will report back on what I find. I now recommend the out magazine site for a gay guide to Chiang Mai, as it does not try to steer people to any one area based on its own self interest. You should really give Chiang Mai another try Scotty. Our mosquitoes sure miss the great taste of Scotch.

No I can't add that substance, you will just have to tough out your pain. I also suggest we put this under a new topic and not ruin this one. We can call it friends of beachlover.

Fast-track for Gay Couples at Suvarnabhumi Thru February
KhorTose replied to a topic in Gay Thailand
We don't know about the machine-readable. Several years ago the gate immigration officer stopped us and told us that, as a couple, we could both go to the Thai booth and we have been doing that ever since. Done that about eight times now. -
I got the wrong quote in the above. I meant to quote Micheal's line about receiving the whole thing from a friend. I would love to read it or receive it by PM. Whole post is now gone from SGT

Post it please or PM it to me.

Don't worry about Kholaguy. he is a hydra for one very well know and old poster on this board who recently told everyone he only uses one name on all boards---bullshit.

I can find where she picked the hymns and took up the offer to have it at Saint Pauls. An offer that was made by the clerics there. I can find where she asked the present PM to speak, but I cannot find where she asked for the elaborate State funeral that her funeral has become. ^Therefore, can you give me a good citation for the below quote.
