Having different boards with different flavors is one of the things I enjoy about the Thailand Gay boards. It is good to see the owners or moderators of different boards reading and posting on on each others boards. There is one board that seems to be an exception. That board seems to consider it rude to mention another board on their site. They feel that it is advertising to mention a different board, but mentioning different bars is not advertising.

I wondered what those were over on South Pattaya Road. They are not working yet. Anyone know who got the contract to install them? It is a good idea if they work. At some intersections they have the little "WALK" indicator, but people still do not yield to the pedestrians crossing

Another original post from March 2010. Do these old posts count as new post for the contest? I see RichLB started this thread in March!

Did the report say the time of the raid? I asked 2 of my friends that were together most of the night in Boyztown, at least until after midnight waiting for the Panorama lucky draw. Earlier they had been in Dynamite and another bar and said they had not heard about this. That does not mean it did not happen. But what time?

I read today in the Bangkok Post an interesting survey. I don't know that job satisfaction extrapolates to Thailand, but he article said that over 64% of prostitutes in the US have a college degree. It goes on to say that about 90% really enjoy their work and make salaries around $60,000 a year (tax free?)

How long does that seeding process go on? I know people in there 60's and 70's that are in long term relationships with a Thai boy, and still seem to sowing wild oats to this day! Many post on this web site! I am not necessarily one of them of course!

I have noticed that several old posts are at times revived. If you don't pay attention to the date of the post, it gets confusing. Are the old posts from people doing searches, and adding a reply? I never understood how some posts even more than a year old, reappear.

At the Meet and Greet, some were saying that the new posts on Sawatdee has really slowed down. The group was talking about number of post during a 24 hour period. This board and Gaybutton_thai, were way ahead in number of posts.

There are many examples of good mass transit from air ports in many cities around the world. Thailand could have studied the successful ones and incorporated the successful designs into its new system. I don't think anyone thinks that most of the mega projects in Thailand are without a lot of corruption and graft. What is unfortunate is that most accept this as normal for Thailand. Even the Thais. In Pattaya, a simple road project went on for years. And after being opened less than a year it is falling apart. Most projects are like this, even simple ones. Too bad. It does not have to be like this. Thais are as smart as everyone else. So why does this go on?

I really appreciate the Meet and Greet hosted by Scooby and GayThailand (the person). It really was great meeting people I have "talked with" on the forums but never met. YaYa was a perfect venue for the party. The waiters were very attentive. The pictures, gay themed also but a gay spin on the event. There was plenty of food and drink. And very good food for sure! The chicken wraps were very good as was the other 8 or 9 dishes! When GayThailand said he planned for 20, I think it was a typo. There was food for more than 50. Also the chocolates, M&M's, cashew nuts. All was great. How does a Board like this accommodate all the other posters in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, etc. I was glad this event was in Pattaya, but if one is ever arranged in Bangkok, I hope many of us can get there too. Thanks again!

I have decided to go to Yangon the end of September with my Thai friend. He likes temples and such. I will fly Air Asia, but am now trying to find on line forms to fill out for the visa now that the Visa on Arrival has been suspended. any info would be appreciated

I will be at the Meet and Greet. I did not understand that that we needed to confirm. I understand why. So sorry to have waited until the last minute. Talked to a couple people earlier tonight that told me they were coming but I think they also did not know they should RSVP. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Darn, I missed it! I was on my way out on my motor bike and it rained really hard so I did not go. But what a tribute to Erich, and very much deserved, to have over 75 people attending shows a good welcome back. Now that the free buffet has ended, I truly hope that the well wishers continue to show up and support Erich by buying their next meal. TJ or anyone that attended know if he will have special nights like before for his meat loaf?

When you get here it would be time for another "Meet and Greet". Hope your stay is a good one! Let us know, please.

My post may not make any sense without the picture that kokopelli posted on his original. But is it not aginst forum rules to post picture of me while I am out drinking in my bib overalls????

In the USA a survey of "scanned" items was done and found 10% of the time there was a mistake and almost always an over charge. Two big super market chains in California alone were find hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The reason I started the Atkins weight reduction program is that I was getting very embarrassed about my weight. Friends, not meaning to be mean, would make a joke and even though I would laugh, it really hurt. Usually it is the naturally thin people that make the jokes. Most of my adult life my weight was very stable at around 175 -180 lbs. My waist also varied, but usually 32 -34. As an adult I was not "into' gyms, but from Jr. High through College and my four years in the military, I was active, playing football and gymnastics and in the military PE. When I reached 48 I had some great stress in my life or something that caused me to become clinically depressed. The period of depression was very painful. In fact at some point I felt I needed to hospitalize my self to get needed treatment. None of my friends really knew this. But I worked very hard to do what needed to be done, including taking daily medication which I continue to this day. After I started this medication I felt much better, but my weight really started to increase. The doctor also added another medication a few years latter called Lexapro. Holly cow, my weight just kept increasing! I went to Lindora and also Weight Watchers, did Nutri-system and even paid to have pre-made normal calorie meals delivered each week to my house. Just heat and eat. I stuck with every one of the plans for awhile. And never lost more than 10 pounds in 10 months. I became so tired of trying to stick to the diet. I started to stay home, not go out with friends so I would not be tempted to eat something that was not on the diet. Dieting was more miserable than being fat!!! A few months ago I talked to my doctor vis web came and told him I did not have the stress since I was living in Thailand. I told him I wanted to go off the Lexapro since I had read a lot of research on the internet about it causing weight gain. He agreed. So after the very gradual withdrawal (another story), I decided to try to loose some weight by going on The Atkins Diet. On Aug 7 I weighed 125 kilo (about 273 lbs). By August 23 I was at 109 kilo (239 lbs). About a 16 kilo or 34 lb loss in a little over 3 weeks. It has been fairly easy, but those that know me, will not notice the weight loss until I loose maybe 9 kilo more. Will I keep the weight off? Not sure. I have met 2 people that said they have used the principles of a low carb Atkins diet for about 3 or 4 years. The said it is easy to maintain when you are able to add more carbs but still must be carefull. So thanks TJ for the encouragement.

Is Thailand or Brazil a safer place to visit
PattayaMale replied to PattayaMale's topic in Gay Thailand
I would like to visit Brazil someday too. If I can work out my finances, I wonder if GayThailand would be willing to get the Intercontinental to take care of me like they do him. I am more than happy to have GT take all the points for my stay. Of course I will cover all my hotel expenses and other expenses Also I will be happy to pay a very modest fee for you to arrange an orggie with some of those boys you pictured. If you can do that, I would not care how far from the beach the hotel is! I am staying in the hotel with the BOYS!! How about it GT? There is one other thing. If I get shot will you also take care of MY boyfriend?? -
Thanks for posting the info. It would be really nice if all owners would post up coming events. Some of us rely on the PG Weekly report that TJ is nice enough to remind us about. The report however has changed format and not as informative as before. I hope all of us will post events when we know of them.

Erich is one of a kind. He is an good cook. And enjoyable to talk with. I too will stop by to say hello to Eric tonight around 8pm.

Gt does love the attention doesn't he? You should see him in his string bikini when in Rio!

TJ, Would you be so kind as to forward (PM) some of the names to me.
