  1. There is a pretty good shop on Sukumvitt when you are going from Pattaya towards Bangkok. The name is something like Fly 2 Buy.....that is not exactly the name but you will see big signs with a similar name when you get close. It would be close to where you would turn right to get to the Motorway. They have "international" sizes and the quality and prices are quite good. At Pattaya Central Mall (North Big C) the have a shop called xxx and has large sizes.
  2. I am seeking clarification. If I post 2 on gaythailand and 1 on Ting Tong does that make 3 posts? Or does all 3 have to be on only one board? It is good that 2 people are keeping track. Will the number of people who made 3 posts each day be published online? I would want to know if I was one of the 6 yesterday that posted 3 posts. Let me rephrase. I posted 3 posts yesterday and want to make sure that your records agree with mine........ I am an American and remember what happened in 2000 to the presidential election. I think Gaybutton is from Florida.........same state that screwed up in 2000..........when he lived there
  3. You did not say how much you want to spend for dinner. But check out Cafe Royal, Posiden, Luxor, or any of the large hotels. For me I would go with my friend to dinner at Cherrys off third road. Then head over to Sunee Plaza for a drink and say Happy New Years to friends and then before midnight end up at Xzyte. It will be crowded and is always fun for New Years. To keep the party going into the early hours, maybe a trip to Dudes or Xray after hours where many of the gay boys will end up after the go go and host bars close
  4. It is not only the beaches that have more customers. The bars that I visited in Sunee were more crowded. I want to make a prediction. If Barrack Obama wins the presidential election, peoples mood will improve even in a financial crisis and Pattaya will see more tourist than it will if McCain wins.
  5. I did a google search to see if I could find their new web site. Could not find it, but found a site that I never saw before. www.nickysgaypattaya.com It has good maps of the gay areas in Pattaya. If you click on a bar you can leave a post about it.
  6. This topic brings up possibly a related question. What would you do if you were there when a farang did what happened to Gaythailand's friend? Would you ignore it? Would you say something to discourage this?
  7. I believe that Euro boys is moving into what was Topman. The dancers at Topman will move to Minou.
  8. George has been very kind to explain his meet and greet and the reasons for handling it the way he will. No problem what so ever. I still hope GayThailand will also complement this with one on the weekend of PGF as I have a very good friend coming to town that weekend that will not be here in December. I would love for him to meet those I talk about from the boards. It was my intent to tell him the party was for him..........which would save me a fortune in food and drink........Thank you GayThailand in advance.
  9. I agree with Rainwalker and Gaybutton. If you want to do it Gaythaild do it. It would be a good tradition to continue on a great weekend. When I wrote that I thought Georges was structured, I understood that you had to be a member on certain boards. Email that you were coming, get a ticket to enter, which was good for one drink and snacks. At Rainwalker's you just showed up. There were some people there that read the boards and did not care to join or post for whatever reason. It seemed more open. I met many people at these gathering that have become good friends. I think George will have a very successful event. I like his company and have sat and talked with him on many occasions. I was trying to give Gaythailand my input and mentioned that I liked Rainwalker's format and date. I don't see it as a competion between 2 parties since they are on different dates. Some people that come to Thailand for a holiday may be able to attend one or the other. Some will attend both.
  10. It would be great if you decide to continue Rainwalker's meet and greet. Although it is nice of George to organize something, his rules about tickets, etc. are a bit structured compared to Rainwalker's
  11. I was at Googie's for breakfast and he asked me to post that he will be having his restaurant's anniversary and his own birthday celebration September 27 at 8 pm. There will be a FREE buffet, entertainment, as as in the past a lucky draw with the proceeds going to a local charity. Googie's is located directly across from Day Night Plaza off South Pattaya Road. I have attended the last 2 years and found it to be a great time. I asked about reserving a table in advance and he said it would be first come first served. Googie had been having some serious health problems the last few months but happily everything is now under control. I will post this on several websites.
  12. PGF is a good charity in my opinion. However, many of the meals seem to be getting expensive and benefiting the sponsor more than the charity. Out of 1600 baht only 500 goes to PGF. So 1100 is for the dinner which in my opinion is not worth more than 400 baht. Why are they getting so high? I don't mind paying 1600 but feel at least 1000 should go to PGF and 600 for the meal listed still gives a nice profit when I compare the meal to others....even such as Cherry's
  13. I tried the Chinese food delivered by door2door. I too was hoping to find a "traditional" American style Chinese Restaurant. Like GB it is one type of food I really miss. I had the sweet and sour ball pork, special fried rice, and chicken noodle soup.....no fortune cookies were delivered with the meal . The sweet and sour sauce was not to my liking. It tasted like tomato sauce instead of the red sauce I like. The special fried rice had a good taste but both of us that were eating it felt it was way too wet instead of dried and fried. The chicken noodle soup was pretty good. I am glad I tried but will continue to search for one more like "home"
  14. I am in Pattaya and am having the same problem as GB
  15. In the latest edition of Pattaya Mail an article says that many bars were checked and no bar was in violation of the legal age law and all licenses were in order. The problem seems to be OUTSIDE the bars. If the article is correct, why not acknowledge that owners are now complying instead of continuing to stereotype the area?
  16. There is another small gym as you go north on 3rd road from Pattaya Tai. It is on the north side before Tony's Muay Tai gym and spa.
  17. Here is their vision statement from their web site: Our Mission World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God. I believe that is a bit hypocritical for those of us that are involved in picking up legal age boys and contributing to promoting prostitution by doing so on a web site that has many porno ads, moderated by someone who use to sell services of meeting boys for a fee, to support a mission that looks at prostitution as a mortal sin and promoting that western christian morality. As I said, I think it is wonderful that there are activities such as art, that give under legal age street kids something to do at night. However, I do not feel that prostitution at the bars in Pattaya (legal age) is morally wrong. This group was part of a "Fair" at Big C (Central Festival Mall). They had some of the street kids on stage praising how that had been "saved" (helped) by this group. Each of 5 children had written a paper about what is wrong with Pattaya. Each one in some way said the bars and people selling sex. Of course this was all in Thai. But my Thai friend started to laugh and told me what the kids were saying.........and added that it must have been written by their teacher because a Thai child would not say that. Many of the children's parents in Pattaya are bar workers that earn a fairly good wage (by Thai standards) through prostitution. Many Thai parents look at it simply as a job to raise money for their families. Many of the boys we off have children and love them dearly. Many look for the security of a farang. That sex (prostitution) part is why many come to live in Pattaya. I don't see anything morally wrong with this. Most of us moved to escape the Christian persecution of the west. That is what I think is sinister, Gaybutton (note the sin part). And I think that is what you are missing, GB. If this group was purely a charity providing activities for street kids I would be all for it. But their price as stated in the article is not without strings. "Deh's younger brother, Chartchai Chanrasmee, or Bew, in second grade, said he plays fun games, prays and sings during summer camp.
  18. There seems to be an underlying message to the groups project that in addition to helping "street kids" with things like art and sports, there is a strong feeling that legal aged "entertainment workers" should be looked down on. Most that I know help support their families and the economy of Pattaya. Child labor for small wages is all right? "Also, we guide them for career changes in the future. We always tell them that their jobs are short-lived. And there are tendencies for them to become mama-sans or pimps when they are older," she said. I am happy that a group is helping kids have activities at night. But the idea that prostitution leads to drug use is not true. Motor taxi drivers, baht bus drivers, bank workers, store owners, have a good chance of drug use. Many university students are prostitutes. Many prostitutes are now our boy friends. I am very supportive of anti-drug programs. I am very supportive of education programs. I am not so supportive of programs that push certain western Christian value programs.
  19. I also add my thanks to you GayThailand. It was very thoughtful of you to think ahead and do this. Actually, this is really a very nice thing you did for us.
  20. I saw this article on Pattaya One. Could people be serving time in Thai jails based on planted drugs?? Fake Police Officer detains two women and demands money for their release. An unusual case now from Soi Neun Pleub Wan in the East of Pattaya. Banglamung Police were called to a small room in the area following a complaint from a 16 year old boy who claimed that his two friends were being held against their will inside the room by a man who claimed he was a Police Officer and according to the complainant, the so-called Officer planted drugs inside the room upon entry and told the complainant that he wanted 20,000 Baht to clear the case. He locked two 18 year old friends of the complainant inside the room and would only release them when the money was paid to him. The complainant wisely contacted the real Police who arrived at the location and rescued the two detainees; however the man who locked them up had disappeared. Local Residents mentioned that the man who detained the two women is called “Pon” and is a well known man in the area and acted as if he was a Police Officer on many occasions. He is now being sought by Police and will face charges of impersonating a Police Officer and abduction when caught.
  21. GT, You might want to start with red wine. It is claimed to be good for your heart and circulatory system. Since it is made from grapes I think it counts as one of the recommended five fruit a day servings. Just stay away from "sour grapes" wine. It tends to hasten a loss of sense of humor.
  22. GB, See if my post on SGT is ok in your mind now. I have edited it. If you are not satisfied please tell me exactly what to write to make the post clearer and I will cut and paste it to the SGT site of my post. I thought you had a better sense of humor re: drinking wine at Cherry's. I was not accusing you of drinking to much....I was trying to be humorous...some good nature kidding....is this like male PMS??
  23. skeet45 has it right. Sawatdee Board has a rule about not posting about under legal age. To the best of my knowledge, post on GayThailand does not and this is why I made the post on this site. Gaybutton, I know the wine is good at Cherry's but be careful you don't drink too much of it before reading or replying to posts Also, you have made your point that you think I am over reacting to the email sent by my friend. I understand your view. No problem. You may be right. Let's let it play out and see. This whole thing, even if true, is not a problem to me and those that do not off under legal age......I hope
  24. I am not trying to debate this. I was only giving a warning from what I know. I said I was following my advice and those that want to ignore it or poo-poo it, fine. It is no gain to me. Gaybutton is usually right on things so those that want to take his advice have good history to do so. However the person that wrote to me left very quickly after a police friend told him. He has investments here in Pattaya and left those. But maybe the guy is wrong, but he is not returning. I have no direct evidence. So there it is. It really is not any of my business. I only posted because it appeared to me that what my friend wrote to me several weeks ago was coming true. But it could just be mere coincidence that all of this has happened in the last few weeks. It is also fine with me if the moderators feel that lack of evidence on my part should be a reason to delete this thread.
  25. I have seen this gentleman around Pattaya for a long time. What I don't get is this. According to the article he took an under legal age boy FROM A BAR. The bar is still doing business and not closed. I can't imagine a boy who works at a bar, going to the police station and reporting that he is working at a bar illegally and having sex for pay. So this leads me back to what I posted earlier on another site a few weeks ago (which was removed because they don't want underage talk). Which is this: I received an email from someone who has left Thailand after he was tipped off that a bar owner in Sunee is giving CCTV tapes of customers that attend his bar which is well know for almost exclusively having under legal age boys. In other words he is snitching on his own customers to save his own skin. The person who emailed me this left because he heard he was on "the list". So if you have ever attended this bar you MAY be on "the list" also. The best advice I think is to only frequent bars that you are sure does not have under legal age boys working there. Apparently it does not matter if you off them or not. I am not being a "chicken little". I am taking my own advice and after that it is "up to you". I know some really kind hearted guys that give small money to the young street kids in Sunee. But have decided this may lead to a problem since some under cover police will see it and say that money was being paid. Corruption abounds. BE CAREFUL!
