Please list the airlines in the context of this thread's subject, those airlines that permit pets in the cabin. Eva will apparently make an exception with a doctor's letter. I travel EVA from SFO to BKK and the Taipei leg is 13-1/2 hours which tests human endurance let alone that of a pet.

Your friend better double with EVA. I am a frequent flyer with EVA and I would personally object for health and safety reasons. By law guide assistance dogs must be allowed on planes and I have no problem with that. I can be sitting with a waiter at the Jomtien complex and show him profile pics and he'll reply, oh he works at the BC bar, or SUN, or 4T bar, etc, etc.

kokopelli, I misread this, you are right. A friend used his foreign (USA) atm card at a TMB last night and was asked if he would like the transaction in his home currency. The prompt was going to give a rate of slightly higher than 34. He declined the offer and received the VISA rate which is quite good. I used my cc card here at a hospital recently and told the cashier Thai baht. The receipt showed an exchange rate of 28.99 and the exchange rate should have been around 35.5. Told her USD should not appear on my receipt and do it again right. Went home checked my account online and everything was done right. The DCC scam is a big money maker for merchants and banks. Beware.

Regarding the Foodland counter western breakfast, this only concerns the Pattaya location as I have never eaten at a Bangkok location; don't. Pattaya location calls itself "Cheap but Good", it's cheap but it ain't good. Sort of like the Boat cafe opposite BT, but worse. In California, prisoners would probably riot over being served food like this and some judge would rule for them as being cruel and unnecessary punishment. ☺️

I can do economy seating on a short haul three hours or less but some here are definitely in to SM flying economy on long haul flights. I could do it 20 years ago but now I have to ask myself why?
