  1. I am sure that most of you know the world outside of the USA looks at the USA and does not understand at all what is going on. The high held respect that many had for the USA is now gone or will be soon.
  2. Yes, I have found this refreshingly surprising especially from the upper leadership.
  3. I have truly loved reading each of these posts. They are filled with insight and good information and links to check and read. I do think Biden will win if the election is held right now. But, there is still ages to go before election day. With Trump, anything can and will happen. If Biden does win and the Senate does not turn blue, we have a big problem because nothing will get done and in 4 years, we do this all over again with a big disadvantage. The Senate has a way of not being held accountable for anything and individual states often do not want to put out an incumbent. I have high hopes for Kentucky even though polls will say that isn't the case. We shall see.
  4. Amazing show. This season was good. The season finale was one of the best I remember. It is renewed again for another season.
  5. I am curious. Do most of these old farangs live in the area or come from Central Pattaya? Is Jomtien becoming the place for gays?
  6. I would have paid it to the fruit lady if he asked. He was cute. I wanted him the minute I saw him. I could not take my eyes off of him. 500 baht was a steal. Would do it again tomorrow. Hey wait, I just may!
  7. Everything and anything and nothing is possible. TIT
  8. Yes, I agree with you. The Thai Channa is not as monitored as before. I do go to Mega and they do want that but that was two weeks ago and not sure if the expectation is still the same. But, like you said, any day unannounced could happen and if so, a return to the ultra safe will ensue.
  9. They seem to flow back and forth. But, with so few guys and so few customers, I think they are just happy for anyone to have an off. And, the other option is I was taken and paid 500 baht for something I didn't need to pay. It was better than the alternative which was them trying to get me to go inside the massage place for a massage place for a massage.
  10. Got a pic? Or, number? I found #3 hot as well as several in the 40's.
  11. Anyone else in Thailand notice that when you go out, there are less face masks? I have been seeing that this week for the first time. It does not happen in my building as they will not let anyone in the front door without one. But, are other places now more lenient? I had a manicure/pedicure today, and they still do the Thai Channa App and take name and phone number, temp for every customer and all precautions. I personally like all this. I hope it continues.
  12. You must have missed my first post in this thread. The cost was 500 baht for the off. Yes, I paid the 500 baht to the Tawan Mamasan for the massage boy next door.
  13. Yep. According to mamasan. But, you know what I think of that. Question was answered in first post. There were a fair amount of customers and boys. Were you looking for numbers? I don't know specifics of how many were in each place. There were customers and boys in every placed I walked by. I don't like to spend time sitting in those restaurants so I am not a good judge of what you may consider normal. For a rainy night, I was happy with what I saw in that area. No business should go bankrupt. As far as GoGo's. I was the only customer in Jupiter. Both Hotmale and Freshboys had a nice fill of customers. When I went to Dreamboys the first time no customers but no boys on stage either. I didn't go back to Dreamboys as the show as starting and I prefer half-naked lads to singing ladyboys.
  14. It blows my mind. But, how many also believe in imaginary people and places? It is easy to convince someone who does not use logic or science as a basis for thinking. I have friends who are highly educated and post one conspiracy theory after another one. It blows my mind!
  15. BTW: I really hate mamasans. I like to look and learn. But, a mamasan in Jupiter asked me if I liked gay or straight, I made the mistake and engaged. I know better. But, I thought I could answer that one. But, then she called calling over gay guys. I told her to stop and get away from me. I think a bit insulted but six times of telling her the same thing should be enough.
  16. I went to Silom 4 area. First, it was a rainy night so no expectations from me on anything. The Soi 4 area was fairly busy with customers and guys. It looked like a lot of things going on. There were 13 guys in Jupiter and some sexy ones there for sure. I then walked to the Patpong area. Screwboys had 3 boys there and Dreamboys was very quite. I went to Hotmale and they had about 20 guys on stage and some sexy and some kind rough looking. The sexy ones were outside trying to get people in the bar. Freshboys has over 25 guys there. Mostly gay, smooth and cute. Very twinky type area. I took guy from there at 500 baht for off and each drink was 350 baht. Had a lovely evening. OK. I admit, same guy the last 4 times so I do like him. But, the other boys that work there now give me much more attention and smiles as they know I am not just looking and willing to take guys (or one guy at least) off. I had my eye on one guy for a while there but never much eye contact. Last night, he suddenly seemed interested. It was rainy the whole way to my place and boy wanted to sleep over. I said not possible and he understood.
  17. He didn't work inside Tawan. He was a massage guy from the same area. He was in the Tawan Bar only because I was staring at him when I went in. The mamasan translated things for me when I left the bar. I gave him 2000 baht plus tip for being sweet.
  18. I am excited to see Netflix's new The Boys in the Band with an all star stellar cast! The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons, The Sinner's Matt Bomer and Brian Hutchison, NOS4A2's Zachary Quinto, Black Monday's Andrew Rannells and Tuc Watkins, Teen Wolf's Charlie Carver, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's Michael Benjamin Washington, and In the Heights stage actor Robin de Jesús all featured in that Broadway bow, which won a Tony in 2019 for Best Revival of a Play. They all return now for the film, as shown in the first-look reveal. https://ew.com/movies/the-boys-in-the-band-ryan-murphy-first-look/ I have had the hots for Matt Bomer for ages and love Charline Carver. This will be good. I'm going to preview for you and give them a 10/10 just based on the hot cast!
  19. @Latbear4blk My french teacher had us read The Little Prince and I loved it. It was the first (and perhaps only) book I read in another language. But, later in life, I grew to love Captain Corelli's Mandolin. I don't know why your thread made me this of this, but this is one book that I always have with me. The other book that has traveled with me is Dr. Seuss's "Oh, the places you'll go." It was a gift from friends when I retired and they all inscribed lovely thoughts in it before I moved from NYC to travel the world. They were right, I had many places to travel and many adventures.
  20. Brazil is amazing and lots of fun. No need to speak the language fluently. Google translate will help. There are many here that know the country like the back of their.. hand. Hopefully, some will chime in. I know we have some members there now.
  21. I love reading. But, I learned this when I was a kid. My favorite book was The Hobbit. I read it way too early and didn't get a lot of it. But, I read it over and over and finally got each part. It helped me to fall in love with reading. What was your favorite book as a child?
  22. For sure. And, many have found other jobs doing other things. But, many are also unemployed. I just met 2 people who had temp jobs for 3 months and now going back to work in tourist sector (hotel) but were off for a while. Sex tourism is very slow for sure as well @floridarob I think some boys are back but many have stayed away and most tourists are locals and local expats and not many of either to support what once was.
  23. You could be right. I hope you are not. I hope the quarantine goes through mid next year. People are working here in most area except those only for tourists. Most have found other jobs. I am not sure the government will do anything for survival as the people want protection and are unhappy when anyone gets into the country without following the quarantine. It seems to be popular here even among the Thais.
  24. I don't think it is Americans at all. I think it is just everyone. They have made it hard for anyone to come in. I know you miss your boyfriend but I do think you will be allowed back in before the end of the year. There are hoops to jump through like Covid test within 72 hours of flight and quarantine hotel for 15 days. But, all in all, it is happening now for those with work permits from USA. I have had 3 American friends land in Thailand in the last week and now in hotels. One just got out of hotel. They were all part of the first wave of people being allowed in. I do think more without permits will be allowed but I don't see the required quarantine hotel changing anytime soon. I have also noticed businesses close but many are just adjusting hours if they are restaurants. Import/Export businesses are hurting as not much is coming into the country right now. All that said, I feel safe being here. I hope things do not change that feeling. However, I hope the rules change to allow anyone willing to quarantine into the country.
