  1. I find many guys want to pick up the guys before or after the show. During it, the show is all they can see. If you are looking for guys, it is easier to go when the show is not there. I was there the same night and did not see but 2 customers in there an hour before the show. But, it sounds like the place really picked up. To me, that says those customers were there to see the show. Also, having talked to the boys, they said they have not had an off all week. As the bars have only been open this week, that is worrying but makes me think the bar is paying them. That would make sense to keep the eye candy there and guys for the show and stage.
  2. Sorry, I did not. I'll try to the next time I go out.
  3. Patpong 'on its last legs' https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/special-reports/2079491/patpong-on-its-last-legs
  4. That is good they got the business for the show. That also tells you something. The boys on stage are not the ones that get the customers but the shows are good business for them as I was there earlier and very quiet for customers.
  5. They shut down the online apps? That is insane. I have not heard of that. I get the closing of bars and clubs. But, the apps. I am surprised that is allowed.
  6. Interesting. I started out straight, went to gay, and then bi and then gay again. I am not sure what I am now. I do like guys 95% of the time. I also like an occasional lady. But, I also like ladyboys from time to time. I guess my gay is about as liberal as my politics.
  7. I have really enjoyed this site. It is a shame they are closing down. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2021/03/06/announcement-khaosod-english-to-be-disbanded/
  8. I love the bars because I like looking. I can find guys on the Apps but it is not as enjoyable for me as a night walking around and looking at GoGo boys. I guess this goes way back to NYC and Montreal and my love for strippers. It has been something I enjoyed for decades. That said, I do think the sex can be just as good with either group. I see the GoGo Bars as slowly fading but don't think they will be gone in the next few years. I think there is still a big market for it in Bangkok and Thailand in general.
  9. Jupiter Boy does not know the place well and without the group that sits on the Soi to get people inside, we passed it by last night looking for it. It took us a few minutes of walking by to figure out we missed it. We turned around and then it was there but no lights. I didn't go inside the area but I am glad you went to the door and read the sign.
  10. Gay Bangkok is slowly coming back to life. And, by slowly, I mean really slowly. Jupiter Boy and I took a night out tonight and things were pretty quiet on both Papong and Silom 4. A few updates. Narawat Massage on Silom 4 is open and guys are outside working. Banana Room is open with a few guys there. Telephone and Balcony are both open with some customers. Hugs is open. Private Bar is open. Jupiter was open but few guys working. Lucky Boys is not open and rumor has it that it may not open anytime soon and may even get sold. Dream Boys was open with about 15 guys but not a lot of variety. Screwboys was closed. Fresh Boys was open and had 8 guys and 1 other customer. Some cute guys and drinks 350 baht. Hotmale was open and had 5 boys when we were there. Moonlight was closed. Tawan was closed but the Sun Massage was open and several of the Tawan guys were out on the street. Mango Tree Restaurant was open but I think for a private party. Super A was closed. Nature Boys was open. When I pulled up Hornet, there were about 90 guys under 25 without 3,000 feet. One of them caught our attention while we were looking and he was near the Starbucks so we met him and took him home. The Grab Taxi there did not allow for us to be picked up as no drivers available. The same on the return. It was odd. The road were VERY quiet and few cars anywhere. This was the first weekend with all the bars open and still a soft opening IMHO. But, it only takes one and thus, Hornet was a good provider tonight.
  11. The other ID is moved over. I think you are using the wrong password and that is why you can't access it. Do you want me to send you a link to change the password?
  12. Glad you are here and glad you have the patience to work through these kinks. It is often not easy to run a site with the browsers and OS changing fast, but it is something we try to keep up with as fast as possible. I know guys in that pic. What year was this taken?
  13. No, you are not. It did. But, it is Zackbr1950, as it was before. Is that not the right ID?
  14. It was brought over. You may not be using the right login. PM me and I'll help you recover as well as merge the two accounts.
  15. He is doing well. He is back in EU. He is sexy as ever and always sweet. He visits Thailand occasionally and doesn't seem to age.
  16. It is about 150
  17. Ah, another interesting tidbit of gay Thailand history. On my first trip to Thailand, it was Firecat who introduced me to GayButton's board. It was an invaluable resource to aid in my first trip to LOS. GayButton was also a moderator on this board for a while many years back and a friend when I was living in Pattaya. That would not have happened if not for Firecat. I would not have met Firecat if not for Hooboy as it was a post on Hoo's board and a trip to Montreal that helped Firecat and I connect. If I can throw Kevin Bacon in here somewhere I would.
  18. Many years back, I think around 2000, I met this guy named Hooboy at my NYC apartment. He ran the Male4malescorts website. He came to my place for a party. I had around 20 plus sexy models from NYC around and he was fascinated at the guys. We became instant friends. I had started building code to make a competing site (the maleescortreview.com) but meeting Hooboy and becoming friends, caused me to stop building the site and become friends. We traveled to Brazil together with my boyfriend at the time and then to Asia. We had a blast. I participated in his message board and was an avid poster. On one trip to Bangkok, Hooboy introduced me to Stef. I fell for him instantly and a few years later, we started gaythailand.com together. Hooboy died in Bangkok. I was with him the night before he died. I was in route to USA when he passed. As soon as I landed, I heard the news from his BF. I jumped back on a plane and headed to Amsterdam to meet the BF and help him with the apartment. Stef met us there as well. The webmaster at Hooboy's website and others wanted to take the site from Hoo's family without compensation. They didn't even want it to go to the BF who he was with for a long time. I offered a 6 figure sum for the purchase of the site to the family. They did not know the value of the site or anything else when this happened. It was a bit of a mess. The family allowed the webmaster to continue to run the site with them receiving all revenue for a while. After this, I started up the Male Escort Review site. I have attached a few screen shots here. This was what was on the site I believe around the early 2000's. GayThailand was sold and I continued to run MaleEscortReview. After several years, I changed the name to Boytoy.com It was a name that I thought would be a better fit and easy to remember while the new owner, Firecat ran the GayThailand site. Firecat and I were friends about as long as Hooboy. We met in Montreal when I was on a trip there. I traveled to Brazil, Thailand and other places with him. He was a good man who was good to me. He ran the site with his BF for years but when they broke up, he needed more help with it and eventually lost interest. He was going to close the site and the forum but I asked for a forward to GayGuides.com Firecat, Hooboy, and I were in Thailand together on multiple occasions. Hooboy and I chatted a lot about the sites and technology. Firecat and I chatted a lot about bars and clubs. Firecat also know Stef from before I even knew him. Yes, it is a small world. MaleEscortReview became Boytoy and that is now GayGuides. GayThailand was once ran by me and then others and now it is GayGuides. Two board merged together who had a long history and similar interests. That is the long, dry tale of two boards.
  19. That really is the question isn't it?
  20. I have had this happen several times. The old Soi Twilight was good for this. The new gay area, I have not experience the same guys. But, back 15 years ago, there were tons of street guys and the K Bank steps were always filled with guys.
  21. Jupiter Boy has one tooth removed today. He was charged 4500 baht. I think that is very expensive in Thailand. Has anyone else had this done? Yes, Jupiter Boy is still here. And, yes, he is still in touch with the mamasans at Jupiter and they are opening. But, more important, Jupiter Boy won't be joining them as he has found love (or so I like to hope).
  22. I loved the speech from Fonda's acceptance. I grew up watching her movies and seeing her life. On Golden Pond was something that even my mom and I loved. Few movies did that. She is great! "We are a community of storytellers, aren't we and in turbulent, crisis-torn times like this, storytelling has always been essential. You see, stories have a way to change our hearts and our minds," Fonda shared. "They can help us see each each other in a new light. To have empathy, to recognize that, for all of our diversity, we are humans first." "Stories, they really can change people," she shared. "But there's a story we have been afraid to see and hear about ourselves and this industry. The story about which voices we respect and elevate and which we tune out. A story of who is offered a seat at the table and who is kept out of the room where decisions are made." "So let's all of us, including all the groups that decide who gets hired and what gets made and who wins awards, let's all of us make an effort to expand that tent," she continued. "So that everyone rises and everyone's story has a chance to be seen and heard." https://ew.com/awards/golden-globes/jane-fonda-cecil-b-demille-speech/
  23. No, it is not. He passed away recently. Thanks for the heads up.
