It is a great show and Lee Daniels, the director, said part of his goal is to get black people to be more accepting of gays in their family. This season has really done a great job at integrating this character in his family and the struggles that black gay boys have in their own community. I also am curious to see the storyline between this handsome lad and the photographer develop or will the ex boyfriend return? A few friends and I was chatting the other day and they heard an interview in which Daniels talked about his love for Dynasty when he was a child and how this show wants to be the black Dynasty. If so, their Alexis is excellent!

If anyone else is addicted to Empire like I am, HOLY SHIT, I can't get enough of the show, this week's episode had an amazing song that I just had to download. As I have over 8k songs in my ITunes collection, I rarely add anything new unless it means so much to me that I have to have it. This song was one of them. I went to bed the first night thinking about the song and that scene and I knew I just had to buy it. I have now listened to it 20 times and still love it.

I have friends from Syria and they are peaceful, fun-loving and very accepting people. They have not been able to visit their homeland for many years and it breaks their heart that this is what is happening. They have also said that there are so many beautiful places in Syria that no one could believe the true beauty. Has anyone here ever been there? Hundreds of Christians were kidnapped today. Museums and antiquities stolen.

Bob, some boards using Warning Points as a way to help moderate their board. I do not know if they are used here. I do know that the software allows for moderators and admins to issues them and if a member gets so many in a few days or weeks (I think this is an option) then that members post can be placed to invisible until an admin approves them.

Not sure the difference between the magazine accepting print ads and them putting listing information about them. But, I am a daft one as Willy will tell you. I say this as I see no issue with sex or commercial sex or businesses that promote sex. But, as I said, I am a liberal and open to all forms of sex without limitations. Back to the OP: I did not see the 5 statements made incorrect. I did not disagree with them. I did find the opening and closing a bit off base but it was an editorial and not a news article. At least that is the way I read it. People are entitled to their opinions. And, many think that all visitors that go to Thailand are going for the sex trade. That is not the case. But, it is widely accepted among many around the world. It does not make it true, it just makes it what many think. And, I have not seen the old men sitting around drinking beer for breakfast in the gay community but I have in other ones as many go for a short vacation and stay drunk the entire time. I don't think this is indicative of the expat community that lives in Thailand but I do think it represents some that visit.

I am getting older every day and I love being a sexpat. i see no shame in that at all. I also enjoyed the article and agree with many of the points. The vast majority of guys in the country are not moneyboys. Thank goodness for me, some of them are and they are easily available. Firecat visits Thailand often and he has great luck with his dates from GayRomeo and other online sites. He just logs in and in 30 min or less, often has a boy at his hotel. I agree that Brazil is great for muscle but there are so many great muscle boys in Thailand as well. I love Hero Massage for that. There are other places to find this. Also, I agree that 3 ways are hard to get in Thailand as the boys are more shy. But, they are there and if you find the right lad, he will take you on a fun ride with 2 or 3 other sexy guys. I have had this happen tons there but it takes the right guy. In Brazil, I have rarely had an issue with any boy not wanting a 3 way. The hotels are no comparison as the ones in Thailand are cheaper and better quality. Never an issue with boys in your room. And, I hear all the time, "I don't like Asian guys." Well, I have take at least 5 of these people to Thailand and they fell in love with the country and the men there. In fact, 2 of the boys I took there from my days at Campus said that and both have Asian boyfriends now. There is so many great places in both Thailand and Brazil that I just never have a problem finding what I want in either place. Firecat does not like the sauna scene in Brazil. That prohibits a lot of his fun in Brazil. I don't like finding guys on GayRomeo but that does not prohibit me from finding great guys in Thailand as I can go to the massage places, the gogo bars, the discos or just the malls. Abundance of availability.

As it usual in the world of porn, another company that made money off of porn for years has decided to stop serving those customers. To me, it is no surprise. Back ages ago, Paypal not only allowed porn companies to use their service but encouraged it. However, all of the sudden they stopped and froze millions of dollars in accounts. I find the different venues that are available for commercial sex much easier than in Brazil. I love the massage places in Thailand where you will often find 50 or more boys available in the afternoon or evening. I like the gogo bars where you will find 100 guys on stage and then 10 other bars in walking distance with the same thing. I like the ease to use GayRomeo and other devices to find boys and the parks that are for cruising and I feel safe doing it. I just find the availability to pick up guys in Thailand much easier and the numbers are much greater than they are in Brazil. In Rio on a typical day, you may find 400 guys in all the saunas. In Bangkok, you will find 10x that amount in the gogo bars plus all the other places. Like the OP said, I also pick up from the malls boys that are commercial and non commercial. Just a smile and a hello and they will come back with you. Not all, but some. There is much to see in Bangkok and the best advice I can give is to not fall in love. The place is safe and cheap and the ease of guys looking for a permanent BF is overwhelming. I have 2 that I have taken care of for over 10 years. I adore them and am with them on every trip I go there. If you have not been in years, you should try again. What kind of hints do you want? hotels? bars? other cities?
