Well you certainly have a good time there and go in with the babies and the 6 month olds which are really quite playful but still big enough to be dangerous. I agree that the 2 year olds are at a different level of danger but may favorite photo of all time is with one of the big boys turning and letting out a big roar as I looked shocked. I think people that go Bungee jumping are idiots and many other things that I consider more or equally dangerous. To each his own as you say!

The press in Thailand shall we say is not very diligent in following a story. The incident you mentioned where the Lady was mauled rather badly was covered quite well in the USA and it was quite clear that the woman did not follow instructions and surprised the Tiger around the head. I only remember one other incident reported and similar things were said about the visitor although in that case the injuries were much less severe. You pay your money and you take your chances. When you go elephant trekking you are also at the mercy of those large beasts. When you go on those Gibbons wires you are at the mercy of that contraption not failing. And it goes on and on. Life is dangerous in many ways. But I probably have a better chance of getting killed on the Motorway by a drunk Thai driver then losing my life visiting some Tigers. Just my opinion.

Having been to this Festival in Bangkok, Pattaya and Chiang Mai, I feel I can safely say there is no comparison. Chiang Mai is the best by far.

I have been in the pens with the 2 year olds 3 times and have had no problem. But you must do what the handlers say. You cannot touch the tigers head. Every instance where there has been an injury has been when the visitor did something they were plainly told not to. That being said of course they are still wild animals and you are at some risk when you elect to be close to them.

I agree the fare is great but the seats suck. Made for Asians, not lie flat, awful for sleeping. But the worst is they are narrower by 1-2 inches depending on the airplane. Lousy product for anyone not in the gym 7 days a week. However still great info because most of the other airlines are only $300 more in Business including KE and DL both of which have far superior products. The Business Class fares are about $1100 cheaper in that direction so if you make frequent trips the initial hit for a one way ticket won't hurt too much if in economy, probably brutal in Business.

many airlines , UA, Air Asia, DL, KE etc etc more airlines out of LAX but the fares appear to be lowest in economy out of SEA and Business is lowest out of LAX. I was just checking March and April but there may be more months that the fares are low.

I was checking West Coast fares to BKK for March and April and getting fares out of SEA as low as $821 RT and Business Class fares for $4300. These are the lowest fares I have seen in years. Slightly higher out of LAX. Time to book your First or Next Trip!

I made a couple of short stops in BoysTown tonight. First was ToyBoys where I had 2 boys in mind to take if either was available. They were not but ToYBoys must have gotten a new shipment because they had at least 40 boys. Something for everyone and many of the new boys were of the younger variety although I would guess of age but I would check. Most boys I have ever seen in there and maybe as many boys in any GoGo in BoysTown. Next stop the original X Boys because I wanted to see if show was different then across the way. It was much tamer and IMHO the quality of the boys dancing are much better at the other XBoys. I would definitely go to the XBoys in the former David Club. Better show and at least in my opinion, more attractive boys.

That price would be high even in America. I know his reputation so maybe its a great deal but not for me. I can have a number of great meals in Pattaya for 2400 baht which probably has tax and service added to the price?

I think any time you go to a restaurant that has expanded to a 2nd location, you run the risk of it not being as good as the original. PanPan is a perfect example. Always liked the Jomtien location but the Pattaya 2 Rd location and Central Festival locations are both Crap. The original Pig and Whistle has always been good and the breakfast I got there this morning is way better then many other restaurants I have tried including Papa Davids etc.

Oh my God. Only 3.5 out of 5. I can't wait to see the breakfast restaurant that gets 5. The waiter would have to be JC himself. I also was at this breakfast and will elaborate. I ordered the smaller version which included all that you see on Michaels plate except the mushrooms and 1 sausage instead of 2 and I believe less eggs. a. First the scrambled eggs were excellent and don't tell me anyone can make scrambled eggs. They were light and fluffy and tasted like maybe cream was added. Definitely superior to most versions I get in Pattaya. b. The sausage was delicious and not those chicken hot dogs that most breakfast places serve. Not Jimmy Dean but damn good. c. The Home Fries were excellent , crispy on the outside and moist on the inside an excellent version. d. Bacon was more like ham but was well cooked and had good flavor. e. Toast was the only disappointment. Only 1 slice and a boring thick white bread with no flavor. f. Service was excellent. g. Price extremely fair at 130 baht coffee included. A Solid 4.5 from me and if they find a better bread and get American Bacon they would get an easy perfect 5.

Moses, Sounds like to me that you are saying the Government Mafia replaced the Russian Mafia. Same thing going on just different people at the head stealing . Your statement about the flow of russians does not meet the statistics kept by the Thai government which show many times more visitors in 2012 then 2011. Since it is the Thai government that takes the passports, I assume they know the difference between a Russian passport and and passports from former republics of the Soviet Union. That being the case I am referring to Russians.

Nice quote but it does not apply here. First of all as I stated my friend has lots of experience on Walking Street. He lived in Pattaya for 2 years and knows the game inside and out. The game has changed. He was in at least 6 Bars and the story was as I stated in all of them. Pay up front, price was high to ridiculous and no ability to meet girl after hours. Mamasan always had to be involved and money always had to be paid in advance. Now certainly there are more then 6 Bars on Walking Street but all the Bars my friend went to were GoGo Bars with Thai girls and popular like Angel Witch. The Game is being changed and most likely the Russian Mafia is responsible.

Sorry for late reply. I was laughing too hard because during those 2 years his first choice was always a LadyBoy. He did mention that the quality of LadyBoys had gone way up but so had the prices. HeHe Still should have taken the cute 19 year old at ToyBoys which is where I might head right now.

I have a mostly straight friend visiting for 2 days and he lived here in Pattaya for 2 years. He went out on Walking Street Bars looking for a girl for the night. What he found was ridiculous prices for the girls compared to 2 years ago. Off fees were at least 600 baht and minimum for the girl was 2000 or mostly 2500 in advance. He even had some quotes of 5000 girl included. All the girls referred him to mamasan to make any deals and everything is paid in advance. This is a young (27) year old guy who has lots of experience on Walking Street and many times would arrange meeting after work etc. All the girls said no to this. In other words there is a huge change in how these Girlie GoGo Bars operate and what the girls charge. Since I can't imagine the quality of the customer has improved so much in 2 years that they will pay almost double the prices, I wonder if the Russian Mafia has taken over some of the key bars and is calling the tune now. For those of you who complain about the high prices for the gay bars , thank your lucky stars you don't need to find a Lady. I told him not to waste his time but to take the 19 year old cutie at ToyBoys who had a better Ass then any of those girls and all for 400 off fee and 1000 baht tip.

With subway they like to put lots of vegetables so you do not notice there is nothing else in the sandwich. They are a true disgrace!

I agree that Funny Boys rotation could be quicker . But I think the reason that they get voted the Best Bar is consistency. Night in and night out , you can arrive at 830pm or 1030pm and they will have 20 or more boys on stage. Most of the other Bars will have nights when they have only 5 or 6 Boys and it happens over and over again. You might walk in and find 20 boys but you have an equal chance of finding 6 Boys. That has never happened to me at Funny Boys.

Been around the World twice and although not to all the destinations mentioned here, many of them. Not a close call for me. Cape Town is one of the most beautiful places on earth and the scenery in the Western Cape rivals anything anywhere. Even if the Safari does not interest you , there is so much to do in the area and the Hotels are fabulous and the restaurants some of the best I have ever eaten in at 1/3 the price of many of the locations mentioned here. If you like wine there are fabulous Vineyards and wine is a fraction of what it costs in most places. Fabulous golf courses, wonderful Whale excursions or about anything else you can think of. I have never spoken to anyone who has visited CapeTown who did not love it and could not wait to return.

I attended these Bars with Michael and am in full agreement with him and it has been a long time since I saw as many cute Boys and a few Stunners IMHO. In fact the GayRomeo boys will be on hold because I saw at least 4 boys I will be returning for. Unfortunately one of them will not be the most adorable Door Man at Xboys. There was a time when all I ever offed were Door Men because the Bars used the cutest boys to bring in customers. It has been quite some time since that was the case. However there he was , a young adorable angelic faced boy. Be still my heart! I went in and sat down and turned to Michael and said wasn't that Door Man just adorable? Michael just had to rain on my parade. He said " you mean the one in the High Heels. Sure enough there he was in 6 inch Heels and another fantasy ruined. Luckily there were a number of Boys on stage that I'm quite sure do not wear heels who I was very attracted to. Been a few years since I have seen so many good looking Boys in BoyZTown. I will be using GayRomeo a little less this trip..
