I don't think it was that far off target until the last 3 posts including yours. HeHe It was about arrivals at BKK that morphed into number of visitors and safety both in air travel and and travel generally in this time of fear. (Not Me) I suppose I could have sent Michael a PM instead of posting it but this is not a very busy time for any Boards so anything that keeps posts coming is ok with me, even if off topic.

I have a different opinion. Between Bangkok and Pattaya, I definitely would choose Bangkok. The main reason is that In Pattaya it goes on forever and you have to put up with Idiot Russians etc in trucks for up to 2 weeks.' It is fun in BKK at least once and then it ends.

That's right. When a government restricts information or controls all information funneled to the population then they are restricting thoughts.

Thanks for the photos but likewise I still feel no need to give them my money. They know their audience.

What would you expect to happen He removes it is gone. Profile belongs to him not you! I buy unlimited data per month for less then 200 baht. so no problem in data use. Plus with free wifi everywhere , 4 G is sometimes 2nd choice.

Don't worry about it. They have heard everything and they are quite good at using translation if they are lost. It is a big difference in Pattaya vs. Bangkok. In Pattaya 90% of the boys are money-boys and the type you like 99%. I suggest you not worry about hotel. You may ask if they have ID because then they will cease conversation if they are under age(in most cases) You will have much more success if you only contact when you are ready to meet. Thai boys are not good at showing up on time for advance appointments. Tell what you require and make sure they know if they do not look like photos you will send them away. Good Luck

December 2015 adventures- Bangkok and Pattaya trip
firecat69 replied to vinapu's topic in Gay Thailand
I get it , you are still very young and working so short trips are a must. There was a time mine were only 2 weeks but never shorter. Older I get the more I hate the trip and thus only way to reduce that misery is to make the trips longer. Also of course when you have someone special , you take any opportunity to spend time with that person and I hope it continues to be worth the Jet Lag etc for many years . And that is my New Years Wish for you! -

Happy New Year Vinapu . My New Years wish for you is that your next trip is 14 days or longer and you spend more then 28% of your time in Pattaya. Rent that speedboat to the deserted island and I will surely get my wish! -
Pitiful and useless chart. Data completely missing for some countries and too old for any use at others. And just to pick one Arab Country of Egypt, no relevant info and: Do you really think I would believe any statistics from a country where the government controls thoughts etc. Oh and by the way when I talked about Arab countries I meant Iraq , Libya , Syria, Sudan, Algeria, N. Africa and many more. If we added up the population of Arab countries that shower their citizens with oil money so they don't revolt, the total would represent a minuscule % of the Total Arab Population.

I know I am getting old But I lived in Montreal 2003-2009. Lots of trips from you with your Fur coat and 1/2 a dozen boys in tow by Train in winter to at the time the best Nude Strip Bars in the World. I'm pretty sure all those trips were from NYC. So I guess you didn't run scared as fast as you think. HeHeHe

Those same cars are wildly expensive for most Westerners and certainly too much for me. But even if 1/10 of 1% of the Thai Population could afford those cars that is still 65,000 people. Since most of the wealthy live in Bangkok I guess a dealership in one of the Top Malls could do some business.

December 2015 adventures- Bangkok and Pattaya trip
firecat69 replied to vinapu's topic in Gay Thailand
I'm not Chamber of Commerce for Pattaya. And everyone has their favorites and why. However trying to suggest that Pattaya is a Social App Place is just ridiculous. They have far more GoGo Bars then Bangkok and plenty of Beer Bars if you want hands on. I understand you met someone you like and he has friends and that is comfortable for you. But that could just as easily happened in Pattaya or Chiang Mai and that would have become your favorite destination. It is true for someone who likes social apps Pattaya is many times better then Bangkok. Not because of number of boys but because how easy it is for them to come to your room. Where as in BKK you could be chatting with someone who is 2 hours away during traffic . BKK is enormous and very few of the boys on Social Media are anywhere near Silom, Suriwong,Sukhumvit etc. Available Non Bar Eye Candy is at least as good as BKK. If you don't have a driver that stays awake then you are using the wrong Limo Company! -
Really maybe some places the airports do a good job, certainly not Thailand which you are flying in and out. Airports are all window dressing. USA spends tens of Billions $ on airport security and the last undercover test they failed 87% of the time. The people who put on the food and booze etc have minimal screening before hiring and almost none after. How come you didn't add Paris to where you would feel safe, oh thats right they got attacked. So will Germany , there is no doubt just a matter of time The only almost completely safe place in the world would be departing BenGurion Airport in Israel. Trains in HongKong , KL etc , no policeman that I have seen. No where in Europe is safe.. Bottom Line I don't care . The odds are still minuscule of me encountering any of those problems. I have not and will not change one thing that I do because of some perceived threat by stupid politicians and media.

December 2015 adventures- Bangkok and Pattaya trip

Having lived in Bangkok for 2 1/2 years , I certainly know its good and bad points.. I would never live in Pattaya full time but find it much better for 3-4 week trips where Sex is the main interest. Just no comparison in the ability to find boys on Romeo, Hornet etc. Then I spend the last 4-5 nights in Bangkok where I want to enjoy all that a big city has to offer other then SEX. -
Alexx, Try looking at this chart and you'll have to change your tune? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate Laos, Cambodia , Myrnmar, Philipines, almost all of South America, most of the Caribbean, all of Africa etc etc etc. all higher and many much higher then Thailand.

Hehe well I was right until you travelled 12,000 miles for 10 days which I will never get . 2014 to 2015 you doubled your %. I'll wait until your next 2 week or longer (normal) trip to see where the % are going. -
Sky high murder rate. Ridiculous!!! Much lower then many Asian countries. Much lower then most of South America. Much lower then most of Islands that people visit for vacations in the Caribbean. We won't even talk about Arab countries etc. I like my chances in Thailand !! And not much higher then gun happy USA

Amazing that some visitors just don't understand there is a very wealthy class of Thais who buy expensive cars, condos , go out to the best restaurants etc. There is even a rapidly growing middle class that supports high prices at places like Starbucks. Do you really think all the customers in nice restaurants and Starbucks etc are tourists. They are not!!

Yes VT6 or you can go in the lower level of parking and take that elevator up and avoid the guards. Frankly I see absolutely no reason to bother with either of these because the guards could care less anywhere in VT6.
-
You"re constantly on airplanes and you don't feel safe in malls???? There is a better chance in this world of getting killed crossing the street then by a terrorist. Certainly a much better chance being killed in a car between Bangkok and Pattaya. Sick of this BS in the USA about people being scared. Record number of people shopping, on planes, at sporting events, eating out. The only people scared are the politicians who worry they can't use their disgusting scare tactic to obtain votes.
-
I'm surprised you have not used your magic to meet him??
-
Why would they have to do that. I frequently just have boys come form Gayromeo right to my room. Sometimes they leave an ID and sometimes they do not.. At any rate there are no calls made , they just give a room #. In addition if they wanted to they never have to see a guard. Just take a right before the elevators into the stairwell. Climb 1 fight and then take elevator any floor they wish. Real security is nonexistent!

December 2015 adventures- Bangkok and Pattaya trip

It just kills you to admit I am absolutely correct about number of days in Pattaya and % of total days in Thailand. It just keeps going up and it is easy to see by reading your reports . So instead you ignore it. I know you would not leave out any days in the rest of your report , I would hope. HeHeHe
