None what so ever . Constant stream of baht buses all night. Even after 2 am there will be plenty of transportation.. And when you are going to BT you exit the back gate on Beach Rd and again plenty of baht buses.

If you don't want to be in a Fishbowl then you can rent studio apartment in View Talay 6 . 5 minute ride from BT and the guard may or may not be awake to ask for boys id. (no questions). You can find them on Airbnb, Cando Property and Dancewatchers .com for $40-60 per night with some extra charges for maid service very day. Far more luxurious then anything you will find in most Hotels. IMHO,even a nice Big Pool and convenience stores and laundry on premises.

Hard to give choices without knowing your preferred budget? I looked at a weekend in March for Ambience on Booking and rates ran from about 1200 baht to 1800 baht for a suite. Most reviews are ok with the exception of people who did not realize they were on a Gay Street.

Why fight the traffic if Bars are not important. Stay in Jomtien.

They are a great location naturally as in the middle of BT. For the first time visitor you are in the middle of the GoGo Bars, Beer Bars and some Massage Parlors. Depends on you if you like living in a Fish Bowl or if it even bothers you. Many years ago on my first trip I stayed in Ambience and it was fine but subsequently I decided I did not like everyone knowing who I was taking to my room etc. (just me) I have friends who have stayed in those Hotels recently and I think Ambience might be the better choice because of upkeep etc but others may feel different. But definitely a good choice for your first visit.

True I've had a lot of practice. In Pattaya I assume every boy is a Moneyboy , maybe part time but still interested in money. I start off with first contact telling them what I like , and if the photos are questionable, I ask for more. Boys who only Top will not respond . Boys who don't especially like kissing will probably reply anyways hoping to satisfy me in other ways which they usually do. I don't waste my time meeting them somewhere else. I have them come to my room.. In hundreds of meetings, I have had 2 occurrences of theft and really my fault for not putting things in the safe. Some are average and some are wonderful and many are in between. I try not to set up dates in the future . Thai boys are notorious for no concept of time. I try to say come in 30 minutes or 1 hour and I make sure they give me phone number. If they ask for mine I give it. I can easily block them if they call me afterwards when I am not interested. I think your chances of a successful encounter from an APP are at least as good as going to the Bar. The boy has to spend money to come to you and if you have made it plain to him , that he must look like the photos and do certain things or he risks getting nothing. Boys in the Bar will promise you anything and they are already a winner. You paid to off them which they got some credit for and you undoubtably bought them a drink which they got credit for so even if you are unhappy they win. The boy who comes to your room risks getting ZERO if he does not look like photos or do what is promised. I'm not saying that boys in the Bars always promise less then they deliver , just that it happens as often as it does with the APPS. I understand why people like Bars for a selection etc and some people enjoy drinking and possible might even see a worthwhile show the first time anyways. I'm just trying to show why using the APPS is a worthwhile exercise and if you do some basic things, it is likely you will be happy.

Enough already!!! I have seen hundreds of boys from Romeo, Jackd and Hornet. Exactly 2 showed up at the door who were not the boys in the photo and in 1 case the boy was much better looking and the other I sent away. Now some were older then the age but for me still Hot. Unlikely if I liked a photo of a boy when he was 18 that I would not still like him at 25 or possibly even older. I agree that in BKK the apps are more used for things other then being a MoneyBoy. The exception to that is Planetromeo where the % is still fairly small that will not entertain Sex for Baht even if not their primary focus. BKK is so big and so many of the boys either have jobs or school, it is much harder to connect. Pattaya it would be much harder to find a boy who is not a Moneyboy or at least will consider it on Planetromeo and apps like Hornet and Jack'd.

Can't help it if you are unable to discern which store to buy from. I have bought 1/2 dozen iPhones from New Wave. They have been perfect with the usual world wide warranty. Prices have not been better because they are set in stone but at times they have been available in Thailand before the USA. I have no knowledge of 3rd rate phones and I am sure some of the stores in Tukcom might deal in fakes which frankly happens all over the world. It is the old story Buyer Beware . Do your research and understand what you are getting. Same World Wide. I am absolutely positive you will never get a fake from New Wave and they will offer to correct anything that goes wrong . Painting with a Broad Brush with limited knowledge is always dangerous! You post on all the Forums and I am sure if you had asked the question on any one of them, what dealer can I trust in Tukcom, you would have gotten a reply and many would have told you New Wave and thus you would have had a much different experience.

In pattaya 90% of the boys are money boys (fine with me). BKK the % is much lower but I would guess 33%. But i am searching for 18-24 year olds which is what most but not all of the posters here are looking for. I make it clear to the boy if he does not look like the photos I will send him away with nothing. This solves the problem in 90% of the cases. If the boy does not reply it is because he does not look like the photos. Probably the case in 10% of the contacts I make. The other thing is it is very hard to tell the age of Thai boys . I have been with boys who I thought were 22 and they were 32. Makes no difference to me. It is the look I am after and I could care less if they are older then stated.

I continue to believe that in 95% of the cases as long as your reservation is for 2 people in the room they have no choice and all they can ask for is that you register your guest. None of their business whether you just met him or her. In any of those cases a 100 baht bill will usually whisk you on your way without registering your guest. I have stayed in every Marriott, Hilton, most Sheratons and many others and never once was more then given a glance and kept walking. Now your guest has to be dressed cleanly or you may get stopped but that is why invariably boy will ask you where you are staying. They will know if the Hotel is a problem.

Never stayed there but many similar Hotels in BKK. Just walk in like you own the place and you are unlikely to have any problems.
