Easy you become experienced when you realize that 95 % of the boys in Thailand never make 3000 baht for a night. You become experienced when you don't make statements that many boy have fancy cars and motorcycles. You become experienced when you realize just because a boy has what looks like an iPhone, it may not be. All of those sentiments are wrong and if you don't have enough experience to know that then the poster should be asking questions instead of making statements.

Just another person who is wrong. In many cases they did just fall off the Turnip Truck. They arrive because they are 18 (we hope) and poor, in many cases dirt poor. In many cases only a mother at home and they hear from friend that they can make money selling their bodies. Frequently they hear that from their friends in January or Feb. and by the time they arrive it is April and things have slowed down. Now they have 1 change of clothes (maybe ) and their bus ticket and they sleep on the floor of their friend until they can make some money. And thus their life begins as a Moneyboy selling himself for sexual gratification of foreigners. Now I am certainly not going to say that there are not boys who have become good at playing the game . There are those who over time may have had more then 1 BF sending them money. And for 1moRussian just another poster with limited experience who wants to take 1 boy and extrapolate that experience to the boys in general. Can a boy earn 24,000 a month in 1 month of course he can in January. He will not earn anywhere near that over 12 months unless he has a rich BF. The number of customers in Pattaya that will pay a boy 3000 ++ is miniscule. And the boy that earns that represents a tiny % of the boys in the trade . If the only time you hire is the popular Boy at BBB or the Muscle Bound Star at Tawan then you have no idea about the lives of the overwhelming majority of boys. They never make 3000 in their entire lives for 1 night and are ecstatic if they can make that in a week. Then there are all the experts about phones . Many times that iPhone and Samsung are fakes and cost a small % of the real thing. Most farangs could never tell the difference unless they picked it up and tried to use it. And if you are so inexperienced as to think the boys don't know what the minimum should be then go to Romeo , Hornet or even most GoGo Bars in Pattaya and sit down and after a brief conversation ask how much,and see how many reply 1000 in Pattaya. Of course they know what Sex Tourists should pay for them The customer that only goes to DreamBoys, BBB, Tawan have no idea about the lives of the vast majority of boys. On Romeo alone there are more then 1000 boys between 18-24 in Pattaya. How many customers do you think there are. Many more on Jack"d Grindr etc etc .. I don't much care if you think I am being rude. My words are not addressed to you at least about money paid to boys but they are because you really have no idea about 90% of the money boys lives . And for everyone of you there are 5 who agree with me . I am quite sure that most Gay Tourists who return again and again are here for 1 thing and that is Sex. You might try going to the JW Marriott on Sukhumvit one of the best Hotels in Bangkok and sit for a few hours and count the number of stunning young girls heading for the elevators with businessmen. I doubt they are secretaries. And yes the gentlemen may have come on business but they make sure they have some monkey business. Sex Industry is gigantic in Thailand both straight and much less so Gay. Everyone wants to have story about moneyboy having a truck. First it is rare and 2nd in most cases the truck belongs to a benefactor . There are cases where a benefactor buys a truck so boy can be in Limo Business. Since the benefactor does not want to responsible for accidents, deaths etc, the truck is in the boys name. Again this is rare. Posters with little knowledge keep talking about motorcycles and once again 90 % of the boys who are lucky enough to have 2 wheel transportation have motorbikes which of course are much cheaper then motorcycles. I'm trying to figure out why in the last 500 boys I have met exactly 3 had their own motorbike. The rest took motor taxis bikes to meet me or in many cases took 5 baht buses or the Skytrain. I continue to be amazed at how many people with very limited knowledge of the boys can be such experts. They almost always nothing about what they are talking about!

My favorite post of yours by far. An insight into a Bar Boy who is quite popular and still the need for money for his family etc rules his life. This is the life of most of the boys and most are not so Hot or lucky to have Farangs who treat them well and even when they are that lucky the needs of their family takes most of what they earn. In the Western World most men do not have to support their extended families but in Thailand this is required since 99.9% of them come from dirt poor families.

I can't believe you are asking this question. You post on other Forums and you have experience in Thailand . I also believe and forgive me if I am wrong, that you are younger then most Gay Sex Tourist visitors and that you are African American. Both things that some boys may find attractive and I believe I have read posts that you rarely actually have to pay. Lucky you ,and I have no problem with that . When a boy offers you free sex you would be a fool not to accept it in Thailand or anywhere else. When we (at least me) talk about minimum tips in this Forum it is meant when the Sex Tourist goes into a Bar or online and offers 300 baht . IMHO that is unacceptable. In Low season I am sure some boys have residents they go to when they are hungry or rent is due and offer to have Sex for a lower price. That is their choice and is probably a good thing. Men who like most on this Board who spend thousands of whatever currency to travel to Thailand in order to have Sex with types they could never have in their home country or if they could would be at least 5x as much per encounter. IMHO those tourists should recognize that the only reason they come to Thailand again and again is not for the food or the temples or the religion but for Cheap Sex with boys much younger then themselves. I don't know where you go but there are no money boys driving expensive cars that I know of and as far as motorcycles the motorcycle shops have a great scam. They sell the boys a motorcycle on payments where they will pay 4x the value of the bike if they keep up with payments and if they miss one payment they take it back regardless of how many payments have been made. I have been to Thailand 50 x and although I am not familiar with Tawan boys I have never known a GoGo Boy with a car unless he was driving a rich BF's car. Don't talk about things you know nothing about and talk about beggars in other countries as if that has anything to do boys who sell themselves for Sex in Thailand Plus I don't remember anything about showering boys with money by anyone . Regardless for the first time you certainly do not take a boy from Jupiter . The reports are overwhelming bad from numerous sources including me . The last thing you need is to have your first time ruined by a money grubber boy who in most instances intends to do as little as possible for the highest amount of money. If you want to whet your appetite go to the show and then cross the street and look for a suitable companion where you are much more likely to have a good experience.

You need to give up on this Hottest Look BS. First of all Boy you may consider Hot, I may not find Hot at all and vice versa. Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder . Most of the boys I know who have landed long term relationships that have gone on for years have been attractive but hardly Model material. Many of the Boys that looked the Hottest turned out to be the worst offs and just like the boys talk about us , we talk about the boys. Just more naiveté . If such a boy existed , long ago someone would have taken him away and for a lot more money then 24,000 baht a month. It happens rarely but it does. happen.. Just because you think the boy is Hot does not mean hundreds of guys think so . Some of the most popular boys are not necessarily the Hottest in anyones opinion. Once you have visited Thailand more then a couple of times you realize looks are not the only important thing. Many times a 7 is much more fun then a 10. Plus how do you know who contacts him and what it results in. I contact boys all the time when I am in the USA and save them to contact on my next visit. Many others do that. About a year ago I posted an extensive post on a very Hot and really nice boy. He would use my computer a lot when he stayed with me and he would show me contacts he got on Romeo etc. Lots of scum offering him 300 - 500 baht. Those kind of men make up a large % of the men who contact boys. Yes and if the rent is due or the boy is hungry , he will accept those offers . Factor that into your assertions that a Hot Boy can easily make 24,000 baht a month.

I can only guess your visits to Thailand have been limited because you just don't know what you are talking about. On any given day there are probably 10x as many boys as Farangs looking to hire . Have you ever actually been in Thailand May-October. Have you ever gone Bar to Bar and been the only customer. If you had you would never come up with such inflated figures Gay farangs represent a tiny % of visitors to Thailand and then only a % of those are interested in hiring more then once or twice a week. Just because we have some members here (including me) that like to see at least 1 boy per day on our visits , we are even a smaller subset of farang gay visitors. Have you ever been to a boys room to see how they live and interact with their friends who may be hungry ? Basically respectably , you just don't know what you are talking about.

First you would have to find a boy who could actually find that many customers . In Pattaya that would be impossible especially at 1500 short time. There are many months where even a Hot Twink would be lucky to get offed twice a week. So let's say maybe 20,000 in offs. And that would only be a small % of the boys bring to make a living. 300 baht a day for food , transportation and all the other incidentals of life would add up to 9000 baht per month. 4-6000 for rent . Amazing an 18-24 year old boy might like to go out with his friends . Even 2 day per month another 1000 gone. And let's not forget these boys help each other when a friend has no money and they have been lucky enough to make some. If you don't understand that then you really have no idea what Thai boys must do to survive. Believe it or not a good % of these boys send money home to Mama . Maybe Mama gets 3000 to help her out. Maybe he's got 2000 left but probably nothing and the rent is due and if offered 1000 or even less has to accept it. Your scenario is a Dream and does not happen in 95% or more of the cases. Yes a very few boys find a BF that takes care of them at least for a time and if they are smart they can save some money. Please tell me how careful you were with money at the age of18.

Since Michael is responsible for the existence of this website (He started it), he can post anything he wants and in any Forum he wants to. IMHO. First the Gaythailand Forum gets a lot more looks then the other Forums and thus he has a better chance of getting that particular information from a resident. 2ND as far as the Forum dying off because a post does not deal with something specifically Gay seems to be quite a stretch. There is an exception to every rule. But I would be very rich if I bet on every boy who got a iPhone as a gift had pawned inside of 6 months. Love your reports but I am confused by 1 detail. You said you take taxi from Soi Twilight to Crowne Plaza on Silom Soi 14 for 80 baht. First of all that is at most a 6 minute walk ( even for slow old guys like me) and the Hotel has nothing to do with Silom Soi 14 but is on Rama 4 and at most would be a 50 baht taxi ride and only 35 baht if taxi knew where he was going. The only reason I bring it up is that the Crowne Plaza is easily the closest Western Style 4 1/2 - 5 Star Hotel to Soi Twilight and thus a good choice for those who like style and comfort.

One thing you fail to let us know is Type of Boy. Some things never change and Straight, Semi Straight and Muscular boys have always asked and gotten more. Since it is a small segment of most Bars they have pricing advantage. I went back and looked at recent approaches by boys on Romeo. They were mostly twinks and they worked Toy, Kawaii , Cupidol and Vassa. They all asked me how much I pay and all said ok to 1000. That said I rarely pay the minimum but if all these boys are still happy with promised rate of 1000 then I guess nothing has changed at least for Twinks . Also nothing has changed for Boys and A Bomb because those type have always asked for more. Since I have not been in Toy Boys for 6 months and I believe they continue to attract many Chinese customers , I would not be surprised if they are asking for 1500 so as not to have Chinese customers realize they can pay less. Bottom line I have no doubt you can find many boys in many Bars in Pattaya happy to go with you short time for 1000. That price has not changed for many years! All that said if I was attracted to a certain boy and he stuck at price of 1500 in the Bar , I would happily pay it rather then take boy in another Bar where the attraction was not as strong.
