Of course that will never happen because it is the Republicans who pushed all the money to the Top 1% and have no intention of seeing it return to the masses. I am constantly amazed at how stupid the Democrats are though in not pointing out the economic revolution in California the last 4 years. When Jerry Brown took over the disaster that the idiot Movie star had left ( sound familiar) he said he was going to get money from where it was , the Very Rich. There was all sorts of crying that he would drive the rich to move out of California . Right they'd rather live in Kansas. The state went from a gigantic deficit to a big surplus . unemployment is one of the lowest in the country and minimum wage was essentially doubled. Oh and the GDP growth rate is 3x as big as the USA and of course the California economy is bigger then most of the countries in the world.

I made it plain that I love your storytelling and appreciate the way you treat the boys. However the story that CB tells you about Thai boys being bad with scams etc like broken phones is patently ridiculous. In the last 15 years I have seen hundreds maybe even thousands of Thai Boys. I have run into 1 thief. Have I had boys tell me sad stories in order to get more money. Yes but still a very small percentage. There are a number who try to get a little extra for taxi and this usually happens in BKK and almost never in Pattaya. CB would naturally love to divorce you from Thai Boys which of course limits his competition. Somehow I think you probably understand this?

Maybe we are delusional but under your precept I must also think that all of Ireland thinks that way about all the US Tourists. Maybe they do but I doubt it. I think most countries who have large numbers of tourist visitors have some countries that they like less then others. This could be for a variety of reasons and most times tourists will not feel that negativity. People who deal with tourists understand the importance of the money brought into the country. Even a 99% homogeneous society such as Japan recognizes that Tourism is important in their powerful economy. And yes 1 jerk can color how a Thai boy thinks of a possible customer from that country. But that can also work in a positive way .

I hate Broad Brushes almost as much as I hate ever agreeing with Willie. And my response has nothing to do with ExPats living in Thailand because frankly I don't know many. It is fact the Republicans do everything they can to restrict gay rights. Not all but most. It is a fact that only Republican Governors attempt to suppress voting in order to deny Blacks and Hispanics the right to vote. Democrats make plenty of mistakes in the last 40 years but it would be hard to find Democrats who did not support guaranteeing basic civil rights. Likewise it is much harder to find Republicans interested in that. You only have to look at the Supreme Court Justices to understand that Democrats and Republicans are diametrically opposed in the Justices they want on the Court. Perfect example is the Governor of South Carolina who gets hailed for finally taking down the Confederate Flag. But everyone forgets that just 6 months before the 9 African Americans were murdered in church, she refused to remove that same flag. Old Racism dies very hard . Her views and the views of many Southerners had not changed one little bit. But they were swept by the tragedy into doing something. So yes the Republican Party does look like the Stupid Party. The Democrats put up a deeply flawed candidate and Republicans choose one of the few people who Clinton will destroy with the Electoral Map.

Ancient History I am afraid. Poland is not like that any more although I cannot comment on Gay Bars. I find Gay Bars a waste of time in all of Europe. If I was 30-40 years old , maybe I'd feel different although many years ago I found no interest in Black and White Bar in Madrid . The people in Poland are friendly and they love tourists. Warsaw is ok but Kracow is just a great little city undamaged by the War. I would not call it a Gay destination but a wonderful place to visit as a tourist looking for value. On balance I found Spain much better place to use the Apps.

Madrid was 80-100 Euros and Poland was 250-350 Zloty.

I have to admit this whole discussion confuses me. When you give a MoneyBoy money that is payment for a service . Makes no difference how long you have known him or what you have done together. You are paying for a service. A gift is a gift and the giver gets to decide when and what the gift is. If I give a boy a gift he is free to do with what he likes. A gold chain for sure he will pawn it . An iPhone he will pawn it at some point etc etc . Shoes, Jackets , Shirts are harder to pawn and if the boy picked them out harder to give up once his friends has seen him in those clothes. I don't think the receiver of the gift has the right to tell you give me money instead. Too me it reeks of how many stories that the buffalo died. However if you ask a Moneyboy to take a trip with you, you must realize he needs to be paid for his time the same as if you stayed in Thailand. If you don't make it plain to the boy that you will pay all his expenses plus the same rate you have been paying then naturally he will say he would rather have the money. His expenses continue whether he is with you in BKK or Tokyo!

I get a kick out of anyone who is brand conscious. I understand it but in many cases it is foolish. For instance I have an Apple computer on my desk at home and I have an Ipad. It would be foolish for me not to have an iPhone rather then a Google phone. Some people may buy an iPhone for Brand and many buy a particular brand for other reasons. I love watches but find the ones I like ridiculously expensive. Over the years I have found the Best dealers in MBK with knock off watches. I have had most brands and have frequently been attacked in Real Watch stores because of the fake I have on my wrist. The people who sell those many thousands of dollars watches can't tell the difference. I have had Hublot salesmen come out of their stores in Istanbul , Brussels etc because they saw a Hublot on my wrist. The same can be said about Rolex ,Patek Philippe etc. Many of these watches are 5 years old or more and still work perfectly. They cost me between $50-100 where as the real thing is many thousands. Even with that last year a Big Watch show in BKK I spent too much money for the real thing. The reason was it sets the time according to satellite information and adjusts for time zone changes as well as being powered by daylight or any light. They just can't knock that off. Clothes have been policed better the last year but I still see stores with name brands that have the tags, stitching etc to perfection. Yet they are being sold for a fraction of the price. There is no Thai boy that could tell it was not original and who knows it may be.

I pay no attention in Pattaya. If they are anywhere in Pattaya they are at most 30 minute baht bus ride or 20 minute motorbike. Really spend no attention in BKK because I find many of the boy may be at home in outskirts of BKK but work closer to the city. So still worth a contact. I do pay more attention in Big European cities but even there better transportation systems allow boys to cover a lot of ground. Madrid I stayed on the outskirts closer to the airport and had no problems getting boys to come although sometimes they used the distance to ask for a bit more money.

I don't necessarily agree with that. Although my experiences in the last few years is certainly much less then Asia , I have met Hot and service oriented boys in Madrid, Barcelona,Kracow, Lisbon. And only once have I sent someone away when he showed up at my door not being the boy in the photos. But they were harder to hook up with then it is in Thailand and they were 21/2 -6x as expensive.

Well let's not forget about money. I love Thai boys but I love white twinks also . Unfortunately those white twinks are anywhere from 5-10 x as much. If they were twice as much and 16 hours closer to me in silver tube travel, likely I would spend a lot of time in Amsterdam or Prague. The other things the economies in those countries are much better then it is for a large % of Thailand which means there are less twinks available. If I go on the Apps in Amsterdam and as an older (70) Gay man send out 100 messages , I will be lucky to get 10 replies. In Thailand I will get 90.

I have met boys far better looking then their photos. The good thing about the apps is I can look at 100's of possibilities in a few minutes. Far more then I will ever see in a Bar. I still go to the Bars but where as they used to provide 100% of my offs, now they are lucky to make 25 % and I have lots of money left over not wasted on over priced and water down drinks. I recognize that many don't like the apps because they are not personal enough. Different strokes! My trips over the years have become 30 days minimum and mostly 60 days . The more time I spend in Bars the less I like them thus the Apps are of great use to me. If you visit for 7-10 days, I get that the Bars are preferable. I also get that those members who make massages a large part of their sex partners are certainly better off going to massage places.

The Government does not have to do anything. Just wait as the internet continues to take customers away from the Bars and the rise in real estate values forces Bars to eventually close . Pattaya is a shell of its former self at least for Gay Bars and so is BKK. 15 years ago there were multiple Gay Escort Bar areas in BKK and Soi Twilight was thriving with more Bars then now and all of them full many nights. Same in Pattaya. The internet closed up Amsterdam, NYC, SFO and in many ways even Prague. But there is a reason why most of the good looking go go boys are on the Apps also. They realize where many of their customers now come from. I think when the boys realize what kind of photos make them look attractive , many will realize it is no problem finding the same quality online, it just takes a little practice. I am always amazed at boys who post 5 photos, 3 of them making stupid faces and maybe 1 photo that you can see maybe this boy is really good looking or at least my type. There are always going to be people who want to see the boy in the Bar . I lived in Montreal for 6 years with multiple Gay GoGo Bars. I can't tell you how many times I saw a boy outside in the daylight and wondered how I could think he was so good looking in the Bar. I have hundreds of personal photos of boys I have taken in Thailand over the years. If I was to put my personal grade on all of them , there would be just as many 10's from the apps as from the Bars and I started in the Bars long ago. And at any rate sometimes the best looking boys suck as sex companions. Just go to Jupiter!!!

Some boys are really good at picking quality at markets or the wholesale clothing malls in BKK. Lets face it many times the quality is just as good as the over priced international chains. I have bought supposed knock offs for boys with all the same tags and years later still looking good. Who knows where they actually came from, possibly out the back door late at night.

The type of kitchen Westerners think of is not found in many Thai apartments. That said for many the kitchen is outside and consists of a rice cooker etc. Also many have a refrigerator and a microwave and thus that is considered a kitchen. Many boys can only afford a simple room and thus no designated kitchen but you would be hard pressed to find many Thai families without a kitchen , just not a Western kitchen.

Somehow I don't think this is the case in most of offs that Vinapu has. Most of his boys are older and have been around especially any of the boys from Tawan. Boys new to the job may find Western food not to their liking but most have some things that they like and in fact many restaurants have Thai dishes available. Also since Vinapu usually establishes the fee and length of the off, there is no reason for them to think eat less and get paid more. But boys in BKK may have straight friends working in the area and do not want to be seen with a Westerner . I have found this to be rare and you would be hard pressed to find a Thai boy to turn down the chance to eat at Fuji. In some cases it may be the type of restaurant as much as anything.

Writing about Sex is easy but writing about human emotions especially your own are much harder. Your story will undoubtably change the way some people think about the Thai boys who give us such pleasure. I am fully aware that many of us treat the boys with respect and at least in some small part try to understand their hardships. But there are some who do not and your story will at least make them think!

Sorry but I disagree that Obama is responsible for the rise of Trump. He is competing against a seriously flawed candidate in Clinton and still he most likely will lose. Had the Democrats put up an experienced candidate without the baggage of 25 years this election would have been over before it started. He would get one of the lowest totals of Electoral Votes ever.. Everyone forgets except for the crooked Supreme Court decision it would have been 25 years of Democratic presidents. Republicans are at a big disadvantage when it starts because there are not enough White Men to win in the states that count. Romney won 37% of the Latino Vote and still got beat and their numbers have increased and Loud Mouth Trump will be lucky to get 20%.

Too bad because in the Old Days they had by far the best Doormen out on the Soi in their Leather Vests. More then one of them went home with me and I never entered the Bar.
