I also never hire anyone without multiple photos and they need to be consistent in age and type. Certainly Bars eliminate some of that except boy will lie about everything he will do and by the time you get him back to the room you are out drinks, off fees, transportation etc. I am reminded of one time sitting in XBoys and there was a hot boy on stage who showed no feminine tendencies and I commented he was a good possibility. GB now I am sure you know a member of this Board who would sometimes take 10-12 boys out of the Bar to go Bowling. You have any idea how much that costs, since bowling in Thailand is the same as the USA. Plus buy them food and Beer for the whole night. That was the deal. How many boys do you think would die for that deal, rather then stay in their dreary Bar hoping for an off. And by the way in many cases boys had not met their minimum offs for the month so that off was worth a lot to them. Did they sometimes get a little extra ( probably). Do you think any one of them would not have jumped at the chance to go if they knew know baht would be given. Not a one! Every case is individual and as long as the boy knows the deal in advance , nothing else needs to be said.

There is noting retaliatory about it. Just an observation that what you seems to think is a Big Deal of crying for you to come in is not. It is the same thing I face every time I walk down Soi Twilight . Their job is to try to get you and every other passerby to enter their Bar. It's just business!

GB maybe you have not been to bars in awhile. First there are no customers and many boys. Depending on the time of night they love to be invited to go to a disco, bowling, movie etc where they will have their drinks and expenses paid for. For many getting credit for an off can be a big deal. Instead of going back to their dreary room they will get to do some fun thing with no expense . Most will be happy with that and even happier if they get maybe 200 baht extra and in many cases the rules will be made clear to the extra ( no sex ) boys that they can come along all expenses paid but no tip. Their choice if they want to stay in Bar for short time and get nothing or take the chance for some fun and credit for an off. This of course is harder to do in High ( if there is a high) Season . Now if offer is made at 9pm then maybe boy should get some baht also , but at midnite, he can't wait to leave.

Not sure you guys are not talking by each other. Boy gets Double or agreed price when it is Sex with more then 1 guy.. Anything else makes no difference how many guys go to a Disco, movie etc. Boy gets paid the price when they have sex based on how long and how many people are involved. If multiple boys are invited to go bowling . Then they get credit for the off fee paid and have their bowling paid for and a much smaller then a Sex tip when they leave.

Everything is personal taste but below are just a few example of Boys available in Rio. I find it hard t believe there are not members here who would kill to be with them. But I could be wrong?

Again I refer you to www.boytoy.com where there are just as many people raving about Brazil as there are members here raving about Thailand. I don't how many times I can say there is no significant difference in cost if you are happy using sites such as Airbnb to rent apartments,, Food , boys etc are the same. Paul brings up a good point about saunas closing at 9pm, then again they are open much earlier then all the Bars in Thailand. Depends whether you are a day or a night person. Really good point about quite a few Asian members here where Thailand is much closer then Brazil . However there are lots of members here from the USA where Brazil is much closer. Never looked at Europe but I suspect it is a longer trip to Brazil then Thailand for our European members. Actually checked and London is only 11+ hours from Rio so similar to BKK although I would guess non stop flights might be a little more money but specials always available.

I don't think it compares but you can go to www.boytoy.com and check the Latin American Forum where you will find just as many members as here who travel there regularly and just love it. Keep in mind when I say Saunas- they are more like Gay Bars where all the boys are either wearing towels or naked much of the time and they are all moneyboys so nothing like a Sauna in Thailand. Most of the members there have the same thing to say about Thailand that some have said here about Brazil The reason for my post was just curious as to why there seems to be so little cross visiting between the same members. The only thing you have right on high costs are the Hotels. And as Michael said many have moved to Airbnb or similar sites as I did long ago in Pattaya. Restaurants are the same. Plenty of cheap ones and plenty of expensive ones just like Thailand. In good faith I don't think Rio is as safe as Thailand but I also never had a problem but I followed the rules that I posted in the Scam thread . I was out late at night many times but was careful. I stayed in Ipanema after the first trip and felt secure walking around there. Safety is not why I stopped going but rather I don't like Saunas and that is where all the boys are. In addition despite Michaels comments the average sauna on a busy night would have 40-50 guys. Maybe there would be 1 or 2 twinks. I don't like the odds. Are there nights where there might be more , of course. Someone who stays a month might have better luck. 10 days the odds are not in your favor. There are only 2 Bars I can think of in BKK and Pattaya where I could walk into where at least 50% of the boys would meet most members definition of twinks.

But under your complaints I guess I have been the worst offender as Vinapu pointed out and there were many more besides South Africa . There was New Zealand , Barcelona, Mexico, Lisbon, Kracow and some I 've forgot and never a complaint from you. More importantly never a complaint from anybody and lots of replies and views. I can assume for some reason this became the tipping point. Not sure why? Occasionally there is a complaint about lack of moderation and those complaints seem to go away quickly. However if you read the things to do that I Posted in the Scam thread by a person who has made a 100 trips there and Michael who posts here and has made probably 50 trips and had no problem. Those are a good set of rules to follow in any strange land. I made 4 trips with no problem but would I say it is as safe as Thailand , probably not. But lets face it if you were to believe the statistics of 1 poster in the Scam thread , you would think not only are you likely to be scammed but you will constantly encounter thieves. Statistics can be a funny thing and unless you really dig into them , they don't mean much.

Where were your complaints about Cuba, Mexico (recent) etc. In fact I have posted numerous trip reports from my travels all over the world with photos and based on responses and # of views I would have to assume lots of members enjoyed those posts. Unfortunately there is no Forum for other countries ( other then Asia) so it falls into the Main Forum. Take it up with the owner or buy your own website! We have had a lot of recent discussions here on Cuba so your argument is not exactly correct and Mexico has been discussed by me and Floridarob so it is not like this Forum is only for Thailand Gay Sex. I think it is safe to say that the majority of posters travel thousands of miles for Sex. And certainly a good portion like of posters like muscular boys maybe with big dicks. That is very plentiful in Brazil.. So have many looked at that possibility and decided no thanks or is it they just never were presented with the possibility. I agree with everything you said except, patience to find twinks is fine when you are there for a month or more not so for short trip. The%'s are not with you ,where as in Thailand you'd have to be dead not to find Twinks almost everywhere you go.
