I have stayed at every Hilton, Marriott and IHG hotel in BKK. Absolutely no problem bringing guests back. Just like I don't criticize anyone for watching their money and staying in Hotels I would not stay in , equally I would never criticize someone who can afford it staying in a 5 star Hotel. It is a fact those Hotels are a fraction of the cost in most Major Cities of the World. However longer stay would always look for a First Class apartment at much less money. Slight correction. My first trip ever stayed at Holiday Inn on Silom where guests were a problem .

Can't believe you would ever put your laptop in checked luggage. No cameras , laptops phones etc ever in checked luggage. First theft is definitely a problem all over the world and 2nd these items are not covered even if your luggage is just lost. Personal experience with a camera.

Numazu you had enough bad luck with airlines on that trip , to hopefully last for a life time. I have had lots of cancellations or delays in the USA but luckily not once have I ever experienced such on my trips to and around Asia. Except of course when protesters took over the BKK airport. I guess I am due and better buy that insurance on my next trip.

This thread keeps confusing BKK and Pattaya. Prices for drinks are much more BKK, so no reason to compare. Also when someone quotes drink price comparisons to someone else , it is meaningless unless they were drinking the same thing in Pattaya. Most of the Bars in BKK they screw for you for the same price. Fair is Fair. HeHe

In fact you are pie in the sky by virtue of your youth which of course I had no way of knowing and my comment was not made to you but youth in general. Bottom line is they turned out to rallies and did not turn out to vote which is what they have been doing for a 100 years. Young people do not vote. There is no dispute about that. They have the worst voter participation of any age group.

Everyone has a different amount they are comfortable with. For me 5-6000 in Pattaya would be more then I would usually spend . Since I already am aware of what Bars provide the type I like , I can't imagine visiting more then 3 Bars in order to find an acceptable companion. Even if it took me 3 Bars that would be at the worst 1 Boy asked to sit and buy a drink. If no luck next Bar and same routine if no luck 3rd Bar. After 2 Bars I have spent about 1300 baht. 3rd Bar I find the Boy of my Dreams for that night. So 2 drinks and off fee 800 baht . So now I would have spent 2100 baht and tip for all night brings total to 3600-4100 baht. Most times it would not take me 3 Bars or if it did there might be no invites to sit and have a drink and just a couple hundred on stage as I'm leaving. Now I'm not a drinker so I have no interest in getting smashed so what I spend may be less. Some nights I never invite a boy or off a Boy. Those nights I just find a boy on the Apps and of course now my night is much less money. Now if you are going to spend hours in Boys and pick a muscular boy for the night then you may get to 5000 much easier.

People better wise up. Voters can hate both of them but one of them will be President and it will be a disaster for the world if Dump is the winner. That means all the stupid young pie in sky voters for Bernie better realize if they don't vote Trump will win. It really is that simple.

The word ethical can have many meanings . It can mean following the accepted norms of a profession. It can mean adhering to principles of morality. Depending how you choose to use the word determines your view. Certainly as morality goes the argument of flying half way around the world to pay for Sex with someone 1/3 your age is questionable to some. However if you choose to use it as the norm then when you are in a GoGo Bar it is acceptable to behave in a certain way when choosing a boy or girl for a night of fun is acceptable. It is certainly acceptable for someone to purchase a bottle to share and it is equally acceptable for another to feel that person is infringing on his goals. Appears to me no right answer. Easy to leave the Bar and go to another as Z909 does . Also perfectly acceptable for the person who buys the bottle.

I think you are absolutely right since most of the 7 who voted no have never posted or their posts were complimentary of trip reports. I think many of us visit places where Sex is not the #1 reason but may be complimentary to the trip. I certainly admit after 15 years , the only reason I visit Thailand is for the Boys. I have been to all the Temples, Palaces etc . However there are many places in the world worth a visit and you may even be able to find a cute boy for enjoyment. I certainly have!
