Your problem is too much time spent in Pattaya. It is something new for you to discover gay boys who do not work in the sex business. I am sure in BKK there are many more gay boys not in the sex business then there are those who are gay for pay. I am sure that is not the case in Pattaya. It is also easy to just think how much with no strings. This is harder. It requires dating etc. These things I know you are familiar with but have pushed them aside for a long time. You also forget that you are a charming fellow who has led an interesting life and continues to do so. You have visited many of the places that I am sure he hopes to visit. He finds you interesting and different. I am sure he is wondering what will happen next. The BF issue is easy since I know the BF doesn't mind if you have someone else (well #1 doesn't) #2 is another story LOL. You are not likely to hurt this kid. Anyone who is that good looking (remember I saw him) has given his heart and had it broken a few times. I would be more worried about your heart being broken!!

Arrived BKK July 2. Headed over to my favorite Bar Xboys. Not up to date on BIB payments so no F--- show. Who cares I hate the shows. Many of my favorites working #41 Mai , #98 Win so got week off to a good start. Overall quality not as good as in April but it is low season. 2nd night wanted a 3 way so took the King of 3 ways (Win)bar hopping . No luck at Classic so tried X Size. I usually defer to Win and this time he did good. #17 Ring only been working 3 weeks. Slim and young looking actually 20 years old. Shy for about 3 minutes and then showed his true colors . Great kisser , loves getting f---ed and has an impressive 8 inch piece which he put to good use although not on me. 2 nights later added #41 Mai into mix and a wild time. Easy to arrange afternoon meetings 4 or 5pm and save off and drink fees after first meet. Another boy I mentioned Bon from Classic also has made an appearence . Rather not do 3 ways but great in bed but you need to be dominant with him or he will do as little as possible. But once he knows he has to do certain things he is at the Top of my picks sexually. Stopped in Boys Bangkok. I never have any luck there. Every boy I like is straight and Top only. Also stopped in Fresh Beach and was not impressed. More to follow I hope

Some more thoughts on BKK scene. This is first of many trips where we did not spend the majority of our time in Pattaya. The big negative for me in BKK is the price of the drinks. It changes how I feel about buying a boy a drink and getting to know him before offing. And if you have someone with you as you visit the bars then the amount of money you spend before going home escalates quite quickly. That said I have enjoyed this trip the most of many. It may be , because of the boys I met or the fact that BKK has so many more things to do in terms of shopping , restaurants etc then Pattaya. I also find it much easier to arrange 3 ways here then in Pattaya. BTW anyone who wants recc. of a boy to make sure you have a good time in 3 ways pm me. I also find the massage establishments in BKK far superior to the offerings in Pattaya. I stopped in all the clubs on Soi Twilight at least once but as you know , the offerings can be quite different on certain nights. Boys Bangkok and Dreamboys have a large stable of guys and some good variety but tend to be bigger and more Straight. Some incredibly good looking guys there but alas are Tops only and that doesn't work for me. Future Boys stopped briefly twice and was not impressed and they have the most obnoxious guys trying to pull you into the bar. Classic is probably the Gayest bar in the Soi. I would not be surprised if 100% are Gay. They tend to be smaller and some on the Fem side but definitely not Ladyboy. If this is type you like this is the bar for you. I highly recc. Bon a versatile schoolboy look and just a lot of fun to be around and English is pretty good. One stop at Xmale and disappointed . Same for Hotmale which has bigger and older boys and not attractive in my humble opinion. That leave me with Fresh Beach which has some very attractive boys but mamasans that are a pain in the ass. XBoys is my favorite bar probably because they have more of the Gymnast Body look that I like and mamasans that leave me alone. Of course I spend a lot to time there so they know not to bother me. They have Coyote Boys dancing on the corners which leads to my interest and they rotate the boys often enough that you get to see everyone in a reasonable amount of time. I offed quite a few boys from there and was never really disappointed. Some were better then others but all tried to fulfill our prior agreements. I have spent 2 nights in Pattaya and these are my thoughts on Bars. I usually spend 3 or 4 weeks here but this trip am spending most of my time in Bangkok Started off with Sunee Plaza Bars on a Monday night early. All visits made before 1030pm. Jimmy Jimmy James had maybe 10 boys not so attractive IMO and on the young but probably Legal side. Although this is the normal offering there, I was disappointed in the quality of the boys. Same for Euro, Former Kaos Sundance etc. Krazy Dragon was always a favorite but the boys in there looked like Street Trade. Granted it was a Monday night and I understand boys come and go there without a fixed schedule. But it was so bad I would not even go back the next night. It still is the most comfortable bar in Sunee and the Tables are great but it all comes down to the Boys and this night at least it was BAD. Then on to Boystown Area. Funnyboys had its usual good offering with a wide variety and very well run by Rose. Although on Tuesday night I would have to say the offerings were definitely up to previous standards especially in terms of variety. Copa had some very good looking boys and club is beautiful. From conversations with a few boys I tend to think they have more of a Top variety but who knows what happens in privacy of your bedroom. Certainly the same comments apply to Boys Boys Boys. Wild Wild West seems to have lost some of the quality they had but still a lot of boys . I did not stay for the Show either night because I hate shows. Stuck our head in a number of bars on next Soi and saw no reason to sit down except at Cupidol and Star Boys. They both had some really good looking boys and music etc was comfortable. Bars we stuck ours heads into included 777, Sawatdee,Dream Boys and Python. I stuck my head into Vassa and thought a couple of cuties were there but my friend did not like so we did not enter. Naturally my own preferences color my assessment of the Bars . I tend to like boys 18-25 on the Slim or Athletic side. Slightly Fem is ok depending on the overall look. I am looking for Boys who will Bottom. I have an account with Kasikorn and they are a pleasure to do business with. Their reps on the 24 hour line speak excellent English and are completely familiar with the system. They have the OTP system which if you use while in Thailand you can add other accounts to be transferred to in the future with no paperwork You just need Bank, Branch, account number and name. Then remember before you leave Thailand to call and change from OTP to Secondary password and you will be able to make instant transfers from your Home Country

I would wait a few weeks and then definitely would recc. family and friends visit this beautiful country. Americans have short memories. Not so long ago we were having race riots in the street and police were unable to stop looting etc. Did the world stop visiting the USA . Of course they did for a short while but then things returned to normal Although the powers here have not done a good job in OUR EYES of handling the problem, it appears the problem is about to end. We have all been experts on how things should have been handled. But it was not our responsibility and we really did not have all the facts. There has been a minimum of bloodshed and things will return to normal. Outside the airports things have been completely normal through this whole ordeal. If you were one of the people trapped here , I am sure the bad feelings will persisit if you had to get home. But even those people will be left with some wonderful memories after they get over their anger.

Paul Don't worry about the middle man There really is not one. Except at the GoGobars you will pay an off fee of 300-400 baht. Truth be told Bangkok is really simpler in the nightlife department. If the boy you choose does not speak English you can ask a mamasam(head waiter) to translate for you and offer a small tip if he is helpful. In BKK most visitors visit the massage place in the afternoon or very early evening and then head to the Bars at night. In BKK the difference is you will get a real massage (quality varies ) and then sex. The session will last at least an hour instead of the abbreviated 20-30 minutes in Rio. There will be someone there to help you choose the massage boy and don't be afraid to tell him exactly what you want after the massage. In BKK there are at least a dozen bars close to each other so likely you will find a suitable partner among the hundreds offered In Rio you are taking a risk bringing a sauna boy home with you.First depending on Hotel you may not get him in and 2nd you are more at risk for theft then in BKK where boy is employee of the Bar . No problems bringing boys back to most Hotels in BKK The 2 cities are quite different but I think BKK is far easier to see a large selection of boys either in the afternoon or evening . There are even a couple of locations where are 4 or 5 massage parlors walking distance from each other and at night most of the bars are lined in a row. Not to mention that the taxis are far nicer and easier to get around in then Rio Rio is a great city with fabulous scenery but as long as you like Asians BKK is far better as a Sex destination IMHO

I have just returned from 3 weeks in Thailand and thought I'd give some general thoughts. I visit at least twice a year for the past 8 years. I arrived in BKK at 4pm and was dreading immigration because of reports of long lines. But the force was with me because my wait was exactly 2 minutes and my bag was waiting when I got to the designated area. Naturally the fastest arrival I ever had and I'm sure the time must not be a busy one. I checked into Centrepoint Silom Serviced apartments. I find them great value although not cheap. The apartments are just enormous and pool beautiful. A short nap, shower etc and then I went to Soi Twilight for dinner at Dicks Cafe around 8pm. I find the Thai food there very good to my taste and reasonable. I started visiting the Bars about 9pm . It was a wednesday so drink prices were for the most part 250 baht. I thought overall the boys were better looking then 4 months before but still not up to the standards of a few years ago. I think Future boys and Dreamboys have gone downhill in the quality and found Boys Bangkok just awful. There were some cute boys in Hotmale but overall Fresh Beach and XBoys which are next to each other had the best variety and a few stunners . I was just in BKK for 3 nights and I offed boys from Fresh Beach the first night and XBoys the next two nights. I avoid the shows like the Plague so no reports on them. Performance of 2 of the boys was adequate and #22 Mr OA from XBoys was quite good and the body was truly beautiful if you like a gymnast type with great Abs and Ass. Overall I feel that BKK has become very expensive especially for a water drinker. If you call a boy over and buy him a drink at 3 clubs you have spent 2000 baht before you off anyone. I also visited Arena for a massage one afternoon. The facilities there continue to deterioate but the massage was good and the Happy ending fun. I made a note to look for a new massage place on my return. For those wondering about Jupiter , I have decided not to waste my time there anymore. I find the boys there arrogant and interested in doing as little as possible. They will get no more of my money. After 3 nights in Bangkok it was off to Pattaya for 12 nights. I used Gemphon Limo as I have for years and they picked me up on time and delivered me to View Talay 5. This was my first time in this building and I rented from www.asian-escapes.com. 3 minute walk to the beach and a great pool. Studio suites are very comfortable and the soundproofing is good. My overall impression this visit was a continued decline in the quality of boys. You have to visit a lot more bars to find what I would consider really handsome boys. First Boystown and the adjoining Sois. I did not visit BBB or Throb and Splash because I have not had much luck there in finding my types in the past. I stopped at Funnyboys and found a fair selection of talent and the music at a low level. The nice thing is the drink prices are 110 baht to 130 baht and less at Beer Bars. A nice change from BKK Wild West Boys had its usual large number of boys and most would find something to their taste. I believe there drink prices increase during the Show but I did not stay , having seen it in the past. I found a number of good looking boys the first night in Club Dynamite but they just never looked as good on subsequent visits. Maybe it was the tuxedo costumes they had on the first night(lol) Overall I was disappointed most nights in this area but did find a few to off during my stay with nothing memorable. Now for Sunee and Day Night. If you are looking for Athletic or Muscle don't waste your time in Sunee. The boys here tend to be smaller and slimmer and some are feminine or of course ladyboys. What Sunee has is comfortable outside bars to visit with old friends, play pool etc and just watch the goings on. It is a very relaxing area and the prices are very reasonable. When you tire of the conversations its time to visit the Bars. There is no doubt there are underage kids in most of the bars but not all. Just be sure you check ID's if you don't want to end up in the Monkey House. Some of the bars that were known for underage seem to have less then before and others that were known for being law abiding seem to have added more young ones. I don't profess to have magic powers so I will admit to seeing some boys I was sure were underage only to find out they were 20-22 years old. Bottom line don't target a place for disdain because you are sure the boys were underage unless you checked the ID's Many of the Bars purposely have the young ones and they will not have ID's. But any Bar is capable of having a 17 year old working for them with best intentions of complying with the Law. I will make some individual comments on some of the Bars but don't assume I am making any assertions on the age of their boys. It is your job to protect yourself . I found Jimmy Jimmy James clean,bright and well run with a good range of types. Same for Villa Rouge. I found the quality of boys at Krazy Dragon had plunged and what was always one of my favorites , hardly worth a stop. I did not visit Topman . I did visit most of the other GoGo bars and have decided not to comment one way or another. My favorite bar in the area although not technically in Sunee was Happy Boys. It is a small 2 level bar that is well run with many cute boys who actually appear to be enjoying themselves. I wouldnt swear to it but my impression was that the vast majority of boys were 18 or older and every ID I checked bore that out. I did off a couple of boys from here and was very pleased. All the drink prices are listed on the Wall and I just felt very comfortable that the owners were really trying to give a good Product. There is a restaurant in this area Po Pot which offers good food and good prices. Not gourmet but certainly good value. I did make it to the Birdcage one night. I was there early so not a fair test. They did a nice job with the renovations and i would expect there will be more boys in the future and hope they will have success. On my Birthday I went with friends to the after hours club Body Language. Lots of eye candy in the audience and some very Hot Dancers that I am sure are offable. If you don't mind staying up until the wee hours of the morning, this is a fun place to go. Take your favorite boy and have him invite a few of his friends and then buy a bottle of whiskey and then you pay for set ups. It won't cost that much and the boys will love you for it. Sometimes its easy to forget that these boys can be wonderful human beings and just want to be treated nice. I know I'm guilty of sometimes thinking of them as a piece of meat and they certainly don't deserve that. If you really take the time to know them and just not sexually your vists will be enriched. Headed back to BKK for 4 nights and still feel same way about Bars. Tried a new Massage place for me , Adonis Massage on Soi Convent in Silom. Nice place with clean rooms and good selection. I choose Mr Ton and was so pleased, had him come to Hotel next day. Good massage and versatile and very willing. The pollution and traffic in BKK is bad but there is so much more to do then Pattaya. I think it is a nice balance to start and finish there. Unfortunately immigration was 45 minutes leaving at 1030am but not as bad as people with late night flights who waited up to 90 minutes. Cannot understand why Thais have such a problem running an airport. Oh well it's still a great place with wonderful people and when we get rid of idiot Bush and the Dollar recovers all will be great with the World.

Since I was with GT on this tour, my 2 cents is I totally agree. If you have a boy with you and stop at just 3 bars, you have spent 25-2600 baht if you just ask 1 boy over for a drink at each bar... If you are alone you would spend 1600-1800 baht. Add to this 400 baht for the off and tips and you have spent probably close to 2500 baht before you get home with your choosen one. The good looking boys in BKK expect minimum 1500 baht so now you are at 4000 baht . Just ridiculous when you realize that in Pattaya the drinks can be as low as 70 baht at beer bars and no more then 130 baht anywhere. The offs are 300baht and most boys are more then happy with 1000 baht. Total cost for your choice maybe 2000 baht. I will admit it is harder to find the athletic type or muscle in Pattaya but they are there, just requires a little more work.

I had to laugh reading this because we both know you'll pay whatever he asks and probably give him a big Tip. Whatever he asks it will be far less then what some boy in the USA would want .

Just returned from 28 days in Thailand and thought I'd share some thoughts. I am well aware that individual perceptions are colored by many things so dont think anything I say is written in stone , rather just my feelings on this trip. Arrived in Pattaya on march 6 and would have to say I found the bars and beach fairly slow. Certainly not High Season. Sunee Plaza has really gone down hill in the quality of the boys IMO. I went to Jimmy Jimmy James 3 times early and found no one that could be described as really cute, handsome or whatever. This is quite a change from my last trip in November. Kaos was always a llittle young for me but at least some really good looking ones, this time very few attractive ones again IMO. Krazy Dragon has fallen the furthest. In November I could never walk in there without seeing 5 or 6 boys who tweaked my interest . This time the number was Zero. So overall I found Sunee to be a disaster except for the food at Po Pot which ranged from decent to exceptional when considering the price. Boystown was a little better. The new Wild Wild West had plenty of cute boys as did Dynamite and Dream Boys. Other bars sometimes had at least 1 or 2 cute ones.. They also seemed to have more customers. The beach at Jomtien was very slow and almost no eye candy on a daily basis. I usually spend most dys at Jomtien at the orange chairs but this trip found myelf going there seldom. BKK is totally different enviroment . Once you get by the outrageous drink prices I do believe there were better looking boys in BKK then Pattaya. I'm not sure I ever felt that way before. The other difference in BKK is the existence of many good massage parlors where the boys can be very handsome and the massage and extras very good. I do not find anything comparable in Pattaya. IMO Future Boys is the best in BKK with over 100 boys most nights and something for everyone. I found the airport easy on arrival and departure except for the placement of carts when you arrive at departure and the small carts once you are through immigration. I found the lines fast in both directions and the walks bearable with the moving walkways. I also did not have a problem finding mens rooms.

A nice thought sure........but in reality the Thais who work the tourists areas will rip you off or cheat you for a few baht and to think they find a wad of money that equals 2 or 3 years salary and all of a sudden they have a desire to give it back to the rich farang......... I don't think so. You definitely do not know what you are talking about . In the last 10 years I have had many instances of money left in pants for laundry, giving a 1000 baht bill thinking it was a 100 etc etc etc. In every instance the money was returned to me. The average Thai is a hard working honest individual and anyone who says different must have deserved what he got.

If you bothered to read you would see I have a very fast dsl connection in the USA as I am sure stef does!!!!!!!!!!
