I understand your feelings and I certainly don't mean that you should not go to Bars. There are a few out there that do a good job and can be entertaining for a short time. However IMHO they are at least as much work as Gayromeo. First many are a waste of time and money either because the mamasans are a pain in the ass or the boys are not attractive or the bar is just plain boring. Every time you have a boy sit with you it costs you money in drinks or tips and many time you discover the boy is not what you want. Time to move to another bar and start the search all over again. Yes sometimes you get lucky in the first Bar you stop at but not often. And except for a very few Bars like Euro Boys or Krazy Dragon, can you really say you are being entertained???? Also there are for the most part, no bars to visit for at least 70% of every day where as Gayromeo has boys 24 hours a day. I think most will have a better time if they partake in both possibilities. Support the bars that deserve it, which seem to be fewer and fewer and try places like Gayromeo once in awhile. Then you can have the best of both worlds.

As you know from my previous posts I totally agree. If a bar does not offer a fun atmosphere , why go?? Many of the boys who work in the bars are on Gayromeo and other sites . Plus there are many others who realize they don't want to be in the bars. It takes some work to get used to using Gayromeo but once you have, the overall meeting is usually better. Unlike the bar where the mamasan lies in many cases and the boys are interested in at least getting paid for an off, you can be very specific online with the boys. You first tell them they better look like the pics so as not to get someone using another boys pics. You tell them exactly what you expect and if you don't get it they will not be paid. Many speak better English or use the translation programs and most of the time understand exactly what you want. If age is a question , you ask if they have ID and can even ask most to scan and send it to you if you are worried. If they are in internet cafe this is really easy. Use simple phrases and words and they will get it. In bangkok many of the more attractive boys have moved to the massage parlors. I think they have found it much more likely that they will see more then 1 customer in a shift then working at a gogo bar. In the last 3 months I have been to Soi Twilight only once. No reason to be ripped off with 300 baht drinks etc. The asian visitors are the only thing keeping those bars alive.

I visited 3 massage parlors this week. Just a few quick thoughts. Aqua Club arrived around 4pm . 1hour 600 baht 1000 minimum Tip. Maybe 10 boys , mostly athletic bodies. Choose Bill 25 years old and a little beard. Handsome guy. Showered alone. Massage was average and evident was more interested in getting to Happy ending which was ok. Will not return soon. Albury had posted photos of a new boy on Thaimassageboys.com. His name was Ice and I loved his look. Called and made an appointment next day for 2pm. I arrived at 145. Ice did not arrive until 245pm. He was just as good looking in person so I was ready to forgive him. Asked for a VIP room with ensuite and TV . This is 800 for 1 hour instead of 600. Room is ok , but too many mirrors for my taste. Forced to look at myself(lol). Showered alone. Ice put on straight porn which is not a good sign. He actually asked if I wanted massage. Massage was basic and short as was the sex. Too bad a lot of anticipation and a dud in all ways that count. Will not be back soon. Body Club. Have not been here for a year but have always had good luck. Arrived at 2pm. They open at Noon. About 14 boys from small to athletic an maybe 1 muscle guy. Boys all lined up but no mamasan to talk to. Finally 1 boy left the line up and brought me water and rate card. His name was Kim and I had noticed him even before he left line up. He was the smallest boy there and had a very young look which I am sometimes partial to. Asked him if he did everything and he assured me yes so I choose him. All massages are 90 minutes here which I consider proper length of time for a good massage and fun. 490 baht 690 baht for 4 hands. 500 minimum tip but more if sex is involved. Rooms all have ensuite showers. Rooms are showing their age but clean . Showers are big and you always get a complete scrubbing by the boy prior to massage. This is far better then the prevoius 2 places I visited. The massage by this small boy was firm and complete. He was quite good and I was enjoying it. After I turned over it progressed easily to a more intimate encounter in which this boy proved to be a passionate partner. This is the way it is supposed to be and I will be back soon. BTW i asked him his age and he was 26. Unbelievable. I would have guessed high at 21. When leaving there were probably 24 boys and some real stunners. If you like them young and cute , this is the place. That said there was a good range of other looks also.

Nothing of consequence happening in Bangkok. I went from the River to Siam Paragon via Skytrain and returned via taxi. between 12- 4pm. Traffic extremely light on roads and no demonstrators seen. Siam Paragon appeared to have about 1/3 of the people normal on a Saturday..

Yikes I looked at this site out of curiosity. There prices are ridiculous in my opinion. They want $340 to ship a golf bag from the USA to Thailand one way. Thats $680 RT. Cheaper to buy a new set of clubs when I arrive in Thailand and give them away when I leave. Makes no difference if it is shipped from NYC or LAX. Christ I can buy RT ticket from LAX to BKK for $1000 sometimes on special and they want 70% of a Rt ticket to ship my golf clubs. I don't think so. I guess I could see it if I had a 50lb bag to ship that was staying in Thailand but for normal luggage that is returning with me, there has to be a better way.

Actually it fell 7% after hitting a new High Price. Stocks frequently go back a little after reaching new highs. And of course the whole technical sector is down. The drop has nothing to do with the IPad launch!!!!

I am almost sorry I started this thread. My first 2 sentences seem to have got lost. 20 years and never a baht stolen. !00's of boys who had chances, especially ones who I saw on a regular basis and not a baht stolen. The overwhelming % of these boys are honest and trying to do a good job and in doing so make many of us happy. I got a dishonest one and sneaky besides. My own fault definitely. I will continue to put things in the safe and now will add my new Iphone gotten today at MBK . Will I start thinking of these boys as thiefs and criminals. Absolutely Not!!! I will treat them the same way as I always have with respect and appreciation for the job they do. I will remove the temptation not because I think these boys are all thiefs but because in doing so I will reduce the chance that a basically honest boy will make a bad decision when faced with desperate times. Anyone of us with our back against the wall has the potential to make a criminal decision

I fail to see what is so difficult to understand here. A copy ,a clone, a fake. Have you never bought such a thing in Thailand. Have you never been to Patpong market and bought or seen a Tag Heur watch or another famous brand. Perfect copies that even the real stores cannot tell the difference, unless they remove the back. Maybe loses or gains 5 minutes per day or only works for 3 months etc. But it looks exactly the same. It has limited value. The real thing is $3000 US, the fake or clone 1000 baht. Same for Luis Vitton bags,polo shirts etc etc etc. The value of the fakes or clones is limited. Could you be sold a fake Iphone. Absolutely and I am sure many have. Just go to Craigslist under Thailand and look under cell Phones. Lots of Iphones for sale with all sorts of stories of why they can offer at such a good price. They are fakes 99% of the time. Impossible to tell the difference until you have spent some serious time with them. Again the substitute phone looked and felt identical to my real Iphone until I turned it on. The real thing 30,000 baht. The fake 5000 baht. Do you get the difference???????

Think of an HD Plasma TV by Sony at $3000 and then you turn it on and all you get is a Black and white picture and very grainy worth about $100. In other words, the package looks like the real thing but once you turn it on it does not do all the things that the real HD TV does. Hard to explain if you don't understand the total package that an Apple IPhone represents.

I have been visiting Thailand for the better part of 20 years. The last 7 or 8 years my time in LOS has averaged 6 out of 12 months. In that time I have not had 1 baht stolen from me. In fact I have had money returned by laundry ladies and cleaning ladies. During those visits I have been careful to put all my cash in the safe whenever I had boys over and make sure other valuables were hidden. Well today after more boys then I would like to admit to, I got burned. I usually put my Iphone on the table so I can hear the ring and I am very careful to check that it is there before the boy leaves the room. There are a few times I even put it in the safe if I was not sure about the boy. Today was a 3rd visit by a boy from Gayromeo. I never gave him a 2nd thought but as usual put all my money in the safe. When it was time for him to go, I purposely looked at the table where my phone was and all was ok 5 minutes after the boy left I went to send an sms from my phone. Pushed the button and a screen I did not recognize came up. I knew immediately he had replaced my Iphone with an identical clone worth next to nothing and I was out of luck. Moral of the story, lock everything you can up and hide the rest. This will not change my opinion of Thailand or the Thai people. It will not change my mind about Gayromeo. True I don't have a bar to go back to for complaint but I still have about a 99% success rate with boys from there and at less then 1/2 the price most bars cost me. As you can tell from my "Fist Day in Pattaya " posts , I hire boys from bars and gayromeo but the percentages are changing in favor of Gayromeo. It will make me more careful with ALL things of value and maybe it will save one of you from getting burned. Lock it Up and hide the rest!!!!!

I agree AA sucked when I visited it in December. Bad show , mediocre boys and the worst seating in the world. Stick with Powerboys.

I agree . It gets easier with experience. Also in all honesty , it may sometimes have to do with what you are giving boy. I give boy the high end of expected tip if he does what he said he would do. I make no differentiation between Bar Boy and gayromeo. Thats just me and i am not casting aspersions on those who offer considerably less. The boy is always free to.say no. I am just saying it may be harder to say no when all you have given the boy is 500 baht.

Anybody who has spent time here has experienced these excuses for getting money. Gaybutton is right "just say no". Most of the time that is enough. No cannot!!!!! These boys understand cannot, they use it all the time for what they are not willing to do.(lol) I have a boy last trip that I have seen last 3 years. He is fun but this trip I no sooner pay him he is sms 'ing me , can he see me again. Lost phone, had motorbike accident blah blah blah. Can he borrow money. I told him in no uncertain terms . I pay him fair amount every time I see him, more then he gets from most and I don't appreciate him expecting anymore. He never got it so I just stopped replying to him or answering his calls. Now he gets it.

Yesterday went as planned. I saw my armyboy from Funnyboys and a repeat from Gayromeo , both were great in their farewell performance (lol). I have a Gayromeo coming at 730am for my last boy of the trip, if he actually shows. Some final thoughts. 1. Lot of really good beer bars in Sunee. Pleasant conversation and cheap prices. Some very attractive boys work at these bars, on the older side but still young to an old farangs eyes. My favorites Ouds and Duc,s. 2. Krazy Dragon hands down my favorite bar in Sunee. Cheap drinks, good music, comfortable seating, what more can you ask for. 3. I also like Euro Boys because the boys really seem to emjoy themselves and invent their own dance routines. 4. Happy Boys still a fun place. Boys are for the most part small and young looking but safe I believe. 5. In Boystown FunnyBoys the clear winner . Well run with a good mix of boys. Pleasant seating and good volume on music. 6. Wild West has a lot of cute boys but seating and mamasans can be a pain in the ass literally. (lol) Overall gogo bars do not seem to have much business but you still need to get there early in order to have the best choice. Gayromeo the overall winner. Met a lot of nice boys and nobody that was a complete disappointment . Make sure you tell them what you expect and if questionable age that they have to have ID. In Pattaya many of the Bar Boys are on GayRomeo so you might find them at 1 am, 5am etc. Anytime you need a boy there are available boys on Gayromeo. Thats all for now Folks.

I will do that if I have any really interesting day. I have essentially told the GoGo Bars to fuck off. 260-300 baht for a 4 baht bottle of water. I stop in at Solid one in awhile and use Gayromeo but much more judiciously then pattaya. Plan on trying massage parlors again soon.

I'd be less then honest if I didn't tell you I have had some help from the little (red, green or blue pill?.) Also something I don't like to do over an extended period which is why I lead a much more normal life in Bangkok. Other then that I need to be on a Diet and my New Years resolution is to lose a good amount of weight.

First of all I am not going to the airport. I am returning to Bangkok where I spend about 60% of my year. The trip to Pattaya was to see some Thai friends I have known for many years and see how the gay scene was doing. I have to admit I did not intend to be quite as bad a Butterfly as I was. Just that this city does that to me which is why I spend so little time here now. For me it is a fun place to visit but I might die an early death here. For me Bangkok is a much more normal place where I meet people who are not involved or dependent on the Sex Industry. IMO that is next to impossible in Pattaya. Some people love Chiang Mai or Bangkok or Phuket or Bangkok. It is just a personal preference and nobody is right or wrong. Looking back on the last 7 days the reason I was so bad are twofold. It costs a lot less to go to the gogo bars here because the drinks are 1/2 the price of Bangkok. Gayromeo is active in both places but I find in Pattaya it is more 24 hours. I was able to find a boy to my taste at almost anytime day or night. In Bangkok the times are much more 1pm-11pm. Part of that is because so many barboys in Pattaya go to Gayromeo when they finish work. This is much more rare in Bangkok. I will report my last night if there is anything interesting. I meet my Army boy from Funnyboys at 4pm. Yes i might look for someone in the morning before my 9am departure.

Sorry but I failed to answer the bell for Dave Mans Club. Just could not stay up that late. Got a good nights sleep but woke up at 5:30 am with you can guess what. It's the location for me. Many times stayed in Jomtien including View Talays. I hate motorbikes so having to put up with the ridiculous traffic for the baht buses sucked.. Also long ride home after getting boy especially from Boyztown. View Talay 6 can walk out the back and exit on Beach Road , easy walk or baht Bus to Boyztown or Soi Yensabi. Same in reverse easy and short ride home. That being said I am used to a little bit of luxury and the unit I am renting even though it is only 48 sq meter, has a 50 inch Flat screen, wood floors , big cabinets and Big Rain Shower. Of course like all View Talays they have a big pool and plenty of laundry services. I rented from http://www.dancewatchers.com and think the level of finish might be better then some other rentals. I am probably paying extra for that but at 1300 baht, I have no complaints. I am on the wrong side of the building and do not have a good view. Maybe if I was staying a month that would bother me but 1 week I don't care. Being next to Central Festival is nice for killing some time during the day in air conditioned comfort. That's all I can think of to tell you.
