Well I did not ask about the off fee and yes I tipped the boy. I know I should not have but I enjoyed his company in the Bar and the Ride home and before I started to try to get intimate. Truth is I figure in some form this happens to me about 20% of the time and 5% on Gayromeo. I just consider it the cost of doing business. These are pretty hard times for the boys and I know he still needs the money and he will share with his less lucky friends. There have been times when I gave nothing but taxi fare but those boys had a bad attitude as well as not being willing. Not sure that makes any sense but it does for me.

Do what I do. Take an early flight into LA on a separate ticket. Get rid of your bags if Cotinental did not check them through and have a reservation at one of the nice airport hotels for all of $50 on Priceline and relax until 2 hours before your flight. Your baggage overweight is a separate problem. Those kind of flights you always have to use separate tickets or get screwed. Learn to travel lighter!!!!!

I have been here 2 nights and I will give the briefest of observations..Well not tooo brief. Last night I went to Boystown not knowing what to expect. I made a brief look in Copa at 915pm, maybe 8 boys on stage and no customers. I did not stay. Then to Lucky 777 where 6 weeks ago I found them to have the Hottest Boys.. Made the mistake of not looking first. Walked in sat down and ordered a diet coke. I was the only customer Maybe 16 boys and to be charitable, not much to look at. Moved on to XBoys fairly new bar and owned by same as in Bangkok. Walked in took a quick look and was going to leave when this boy approached me with the smile of a God. The only way I can describe him is , Tiger Woods as a small Asian Boy. Beautiful smile and wonderful pure white teeth and it appeared a personality to boot, Sat down and bought him a drink and began to look at the other boys. Maybe 14 boys and some attractive ones. Again I was the only customer. Had conversation with boy and he told me he could do what I wanted and mamasan confirmed. Now I'm thinking too good to be true because of this kid does the deed , he is coming home to Bangkok with me. You know the ending. He did Nothing!!!!!!!!!!! What a disappointment. Went home on Gayromeo and had an accommodating boy in 1 hour. Tonight I went to see friends in Sunee . All beer bars were very slow. Ended up at Oud's for a sandwich and able to wish Oud Happy Birthday. Stopped in Niceboys. At least 40 boys and probably never less then 12 customers and nearly filled up when I left. Unlike times past I had no questions on age. I had boy who I met from a friend sit with me and arranged a meeting for the following night for which I paid his off. I would say there were at least 1/2 dozen boys I would have taken home. But I wasn't really looking for anyone so I moved back to Boyztown. I looked in Starboys, no customers maybe 8 dancers sitting. No money from me. Next Cupidol. No customers, maybe 6 boys sitting . I left. Sawatdee same thing. Decided time to call it a day so I returned to my room where I am writing this. When I am finished I am sure I will find something nice on Gayromeo. The slowest I have ever seen it. Beer and Nice Boys the only bar I have seen in 2 days that could pay their expenses. He must be doing something right!!!!!

I use Kasikorn and love them. Their internet banking is great and when I wire transfer funds from USA, they are there in 1 day. When I need to talk to someone at Internet site , their Englosh is perfect. I remember when I opened in Pattaya, first branch told me work permits etc,. I just went to another branch and no problem in a few minutes I had my account.

First we need to get our terms right. TSA has nothing to do with the person that questioned you. TSA is responsible for screening you getting on an airplane. They are for the most part low to medium pay and poorly educated and do everything by rote. They cannot arrest you or even detain you except for getting on your airplane. Anything else they are required to call a member of law enforcement which is why you always see a policeman stationed at the screening area. You were searched by people from Customs and Immigration. They are for the most part highly paid and better educated then any one at TSA. That doesn't mean they can't be jerks because they definitely can be. In some ways I respect what they do because they are definitely on the front line for catching drug dealers and yes even terrorists. They can be very good at their job or they can be ridiculously invasive , if they have decided they don't like you. As you well know say the wrong thing and they can waste hours of your time. I have practically eliminated any aggravation from they by not traveling with cameras or computers. I leave one of each at my apartment in Bangkok and in the USA. I know that is not practical for GayThailand. What ever happened to that company you were using to ship things for you. I thought that was a great idea for you even if just to avoid aggravation. Anyways glad you are safely back in the USA. Hope you are able to get out of LA (secret) just as easily

i have returned to Bangkok. My stay in Pattaya was a mix of Gayromeo and the Bars. The best boys by far, I had were from Gayromeo . Although I have to admit one of the boys I had met in a now out of business bar a few years ago. He no longer works the Bars and I would not have re-discovered him except for Gayromeo. The 2 boys I took from Bars , one was a total loss (did nothing). The other was willing but not very good. So Gayromeo for me won hands down in Pattaya this trip. Now I have not been to Soi Twilight for 2 months. Between their prices and the Red Shirt trouble, I have found all my boys on Gayromeo. Although I have had some boys who were a couple years older then their pictures , overall I have been more then satisfied and in some cases just fabulous BF sessions. But tonight it was time to see how the recovery is going. I arrived on Soi Twilight at 915pm. My favorite bar for sometime has been XBoys.. I was pretty much a regular there for 2 years and seldom took a boy from anywhere else. The Soi was very quiet and XBoys was my first and only stop. There were no customers and only a dozen boys instead of the usual 30 or more. But there were 6 boys I had never seen who were just absolutely HOT. Great faces and beautiful bodies. Now I have to admit not a single boy I have ever gotten from Gayromeo could compare with these boys. I picked the Hottest one IMHO and off we went. He delivered as promised and I have to admit looking at him before and after definitely moved the needle back to the Bars for awhile. He cost me twice as much as a boy from Gayromeo when you add in the off fee, drinks, etc.. But it was worth it to have him lying next to me naked. LOL I will continue to use both venues for finding boys but as Gaythailand said, if a bar has gorgeous boys customers will come. Not tonight but eventually the tourists will return and I at least ,will start spending part time in the bars again. What many have said here is the truth. The bars are very important, the owners just need to take instruction from some of the owners of the Girl Bars in how to run a proper Bar and attract and retain customers.

I agree and if all the pics are with sunglasses, I tell the boy to give me pic with no sunglasses. Had one just the other day. He sent me a different pic and I had him come over. Glad I asked because he was great.

I must have been really lucky the last 6 months. I cannot think of single boy I got from Gayromeo that did not do what he promised. I certainly can't say that for the bars where easily 1/2 lie or their mamasans lie for them. However I am very specific on Gayromeo about what I expect and they are told not even get taxi fare if they fail to do what they promised. Although the actual level of English is not better then bar boys , they almost all use translators and I think have a better understanding of the concept "No Honey No Money". The one thing I don't always get is a boy that looks like the picture. Sometimes the photo is 3 or 4 years old and sometimes although rare not even the Boy. It probably happens 15-20% of the time and I send them away sometimes with taxi fare and sometimes with nothing. Again I have warned them about not being Boy in pictures. As far as spending a lot of time there are 2 types of boys on Gayromeo. Strictly moneyboys and boys who are looking for a relationship. I find I can spend a lot of time back and forth with a boy when I am quite sure it will not be a money transaction.. I enjoy it and have met some great boys who really don't want anything. But the boys you can recognize as being motivated by money, I cut to the chase with the 2nd message. Tell them what I want, how I want it and what I am willing to pay. Once in awhile I guess wrong and insult a boy who is really not a moneyboy but it is rare. I never give a Boy my phone number until the meeting has been set. I don't tag the number with a name until I have been with the boy. That way a call with no name attached to it is not answered and at bedtime the phone is off. That eliminates for me dealing with boys I don"t want to see. Don't get me wrong, I still like going to the bars and believe they are important. But bars would not be going out of business if the operators had any idea how to run a business. The customer is #1.. why is it the Lady Bars get that and the Gay Bars don't, for the most part anyways.

Well I am visiting Pattaya for a few days and I think one of the biggest advantages Gayromeo has is it is open 24 hours per day. I arrived at 2pm and at 4pm I had a boy come to my room . He works at a Jomtien Hotel and I am sure nicely supplements his income with meetings from Gayromeo. He looked like his photos and cam show and did everything he promised and did it well. I didn't have to deal with lying mamasans, $5 bottle of water and music so loud you can't think. Now I do support the Bars because I do think they are needed, but managed stupidly. Later that night I was bar hopping in Sunee with a friend. I saw a boy I liked in My Mic, I think its called. Asked mamasan age of boy and what he does. She said 18 with ID and does everything. I bought boy a drink and he confirmed does everything. Ok so I paid the off fee, bar bill and small tip for staff and headed home with the boy. I bet you can guess the ending?? Boy did nothing and didn't even make a good attempt. I sent him away with more money then he deserved. So let's see mamasan, lied ,boy lied and fair amount of baht spent for nothing. Does that push me more towards Gayromeo. Of Course!!! Now thats not to say I have not had good boys from the bars because I have but it seems more and more I can count on the boy from Gayromeo to do what he promised over the boy from the Bar and less money spent. The answer for the bars is easy. Mamasans have to really know what boys will do and make sure boys know if they don't do as promised there job is in jeapordy. Of course it would help if bar was clean, bathroom clean, music ar a good level and a good mic of boys, It is possible, just visit Funnyboys on most nights.

When did u change to 3bb. Last time I knew you said it was taking you hours to download tv programs. I am getting 2.97 today in Bangkok and most days. Once in awhile it gets up to 7.9 and about 2 days a month goes all the way down to ,98

It has been a few years but I was not impressed with JIM International. Convinced they used different fabric then we agreed upon and I think their actual tailors are not the best. One thing you need to realize is that almost all these shops are strictly purveyors of fabric and there is no telling who will be doing the actual tailoring. It depends on how busy they are, how much time you are willing to give them . The woman or guy you see on the corner with a sewing machine is very likely to be doing your suit. Make sure you keep a sample of the material you choose and compare it to the finished product. Don't pay more then 50% down so you are in a strong negotiating position.

Smiles A quick reprise of some of your posts show you are usually coherent. Can't figure out why you take a quote from GT and some other poster and stick them together like they were said by GT. A reasonably intelligent person would understand that a lot of GT's posts are made in order to create discussion . Discussion is what a message Board is about. Accusing him of being loud and throwing his money around either shows a lack of understanding on your part or jealousy..

Just a comment for balance. I called Rhonda today looking for a ticket Bangkok to the USA in August with a 2 week stay. Told her I was completely flexible in the dates. She said August is high season which of course I already knew and told me ticket would be around $2200. I told her I could find online for $1950- $2000.. Her response was high season , nothing she could do. So a complete failure . Maybe I'll give her another chance in October and maybe not!!!!!!

I walked around Silom this afternoon . Except for an Army presence, it is pretty much back to normal. Barricades, wire etc are all gone except for a few spots where it has been rolled up but not removed. Skytrain is normal and everything is open. Traffic is back to normal flow but very light at least at 1pm.

I see nothing there about immigration.. I think they mean a special line to have you and your baggage scanned.

Since Korean Air was partners with NW and now Delta, I usually look for them. However their prices have been consistently 20% higher then any of the other airlines. Anyone have tips for finding good prices on Korean.

Not to argue the point but since 2 decent filets alone would be be 2500 baht or more, i believe a 4 course dinner and drinks would be closer to 4000 baht, if I understand correctly that you had appetizers and desert. I guess the key thing that you said was as good as any you had in Thailand and I suspect you meant Pattaya. Not a very high Bar to attain. If you charge NY prices you better give NY quality which they do not even come close to. Marriott Steakhouse on Sukumvit in Bangkok can meet the standard , Manhattans definitely does not IMO

I do not know Hugh Millar so no comment on that and maybe there is a good reason for the Gay Pride cancellation. However maybe new owners will give a better product for the outrageous prices that are charged. I have eaten there twice with somebody else paying. The quality of the meat was mediocre at best and the service amateurish. Trying to compare themselves to the great NY Steakhouses such as Peter Lugar or Mortons is nothing short of ridiculous. They don't even measure up to Texas Roadhouse.

U did not catch an odd night. Last 2 times I was there it was the same. Many bars have very few boys and even less customers. If you go into bars like Funny Boys , they have boys and customers. Lucky 777 also and usually Wild West Boys. It does not get any better later. As far as comparing to Sunee. Except for Krazy Dragon drink prices are the same or at most 20 baht more unless during a show at a few bars. The off fees are the same. Please don't try to compare Beer Bar prices with the GoGo Bars in Boystown. They are not the same animal. Sunee has a different type boy then most of the Boystown Bars. Sunee is younger looking and more feminine. Both areas have something to offer. The interesting thing in Boystown is how far down Boys Boy Boys has fallen. Nobody goes there anymore. It has become a Joke.

I don't think there is any doubt the Bars will have to change. The question becomes is there a Bar or Bars out there that are showing the way to change? Euro Boys gets a lot of positive comments here and is it so hard to duplicate what they do? I don't think it is, but the owners of many of these Bars just don't get it. How hard is it to make it mandatory that the boys dance and have fun and smile? The same boys who look bored on stage appear completely different at a Disco or Karaoke Club. Management is the problem. How hard is it to get a fast rotation of boys on stage? How hard is it to play the music at a level that allows conversation? The answer is not very hard but, too many of these guys don't get it and that is why you see once popular Bars closing such as Jimmy Jimmy James and many others. I think we will continue to see bars close and then hopefully the ones that are left will realize what they have to do in order to attract and retain customers. Some of these Bar owners need to go to Walking Street and see Lady Bars such as Angel Witch and get some new ideas. If they don't then eventually they just all might cease to exist. Along with many others I am sure , that is something we don't want to see happen. But if it does we will be prepared to use sites such as Gayromeo.
