Since the overwhelming % of then have no idea how to run a Bar, it would not bother me in the least. I have been in 2 Bars in the last 3 months. 1 in Pattaya and Solid in Bangkok. Plenty of boys on Gayromeo etc. Let them close unless they learn how to run a business!!!

Tsk Tsk Tsk!!! Whether you like it or not , that is how most people make a reservation . They pick the dates for their trip and then start to look at prices . As others have agreed in this thread , there is no comparison between Hotel prices in Thailand and Brazil. It costs much more for the same level of Hotel in Brazil. Pick a date , any date at least 3 months from now and compare the prices. No comparison. In fact pick any date you like from November to April and find Sao Paulo for under $200 and I will buy you dinner at the restaurant that does not serve food in Rio. LOL You have no chance!!!!!!

OK Once again I will prove you wrong. Not by looking at dates 7 days from now which is ridiculous. Anyone who travels knows that Hotels lower their rates as the date approaches. In fact those rate GT quoted can probably be gotten for 1/2 of that on Priceline. But most people who are planning a trip 1/2 way around the world make their reservations months in advance. So here are the rates for the Intercontinental Hotel on the 10th of the month starting in November. November Rio - $272 Sao Paulo $386 Bangkok $155 December Rio $194 Sao Paulo $268 Bangkok $140 January Rio $207 Sao Paulo $302 Bangkok $160 February Rio $207 Sao Paulo $284 Bangkok $185 March Rio $243 Sao Paulo $284 Bangkok $185 Like I said considerably more expensive. Anywhere form 30% - 150% more Those are the facts and they cannot be refuted!!!!!

GT I love you but stop quoting these ridiculous prices that are not available. I just looked at random dates for the next 6 months in Sao Paulo. The lowest night I got was $302 ++ , some were more. The rates you quote are not available to us. BTW the ICE website brags that no one can offer a lower rate then they offer and if you look on Agoda you will find that is true. You take what is on offer to you and act like that is available to any poster here. It is not. Just like no poster here will be able to bring boys to their room in Brazil if they are staying at a 4 or 5 star property. The rules are different when you are well known to the Hotel but those rules don't apply to the masses. I have stayed at many of the 5 star properties in Bangkok and no one cares who or how many you take to your room. I have stayed at 3 ,5 star properties in Rio where it was impossible to bring back someone to my room even in the day time. In fact I know that happened to you which is why you moved way out of the Beach area to the Intercontinental. Also the Intercontinental is only a 4 star Hotel and the 5 star Hotels are much higher priced then the Intercontinental And as far as Sao Paulo compared to Bangkok. No matter which search engine you use, Agoda, Expedia etc there are far more 5 Star Hotels in Bangkok then there are in Sao Paulo. Guess little Bangkok compares easily. Better and more 5 star Hotels at 1/2 the price. You apology will be accepted by PM so you don't have to embarrass yourself. LOL

I know at some point you will admit you have to pay $350 to stay at the Intercontinental in Sao Paulo and that rate is almost 3 times what you pay in Bangkok. Not $50-$75 but $200 more. Trying to say that Rio has 40 Hotels you would stay at is ridiculous. I can name all the ones you did stay at and will not again. That will cut it down to maybe 5 that you would stay at, probably only 3. Sao Paulo I don't know so well so I won't argue the point but at those prices they better be better then the Peninsula in Bangkok and of course they are not!!!! Now as to places you have stayed in Pattaya . You have rented homes and apartments in Pattaya that are far nicer then anything you can rent in Brazil and for a fraction of the price. For 1 month stays there are fabulous options in Pattaya and Bangkok. Many of those same options are available for 2 weeks Zero options at anywhere near the same price in Brazil Few people fly half way around the world for 1 week so lets say a 2 week vacation will cost you substantially more in Brazil then Thailand no matter what level of Hotel is your usual choice!!! Again not to persuade you to not visit Brazil. Just realize the same level of comfort will cost you substantially more. If you can afford it do it!!!

I read it and it means nothing to me. Over time I have found that lists are meaningless and so is this list. Go down to paragraphs from where this list is mentioned by Wikipedia and it says the Metropolitan population of Sao Paulo is just over 11 million. What am I to believe. What Wikipedia says in its description or a list it points a link to that is almost 4 years old. I will believe Wikipedia and GT can believe the stupid list that they mention and we can both say we are right. But back to the original discussion. If you compare the prices of Hotels in Brazil versus comparable Hotels in Thailand, nobody can argue the fact that Hotels are far more expensive in Brazil!!!! Visit, it is a great country with many wonderful sights but it is more expensive and more dangerous!!!

I'll walk you through it. 1. Turn on your IPAD 2. Go to Google and type Bangkok Population and you will find the metropolitan population to be just under 12 million people according to Wikipedia. 3. Now repeat step 2 but replace Bangkok with Sao Paulo and you will find again according to Wikipedia that Sao Paulo metropolital population is just over 11 million. If you read a little further you will find that Bangkok 's metropolitan area is about 1/2 the size of Sao Paulo metropolitan area. If you are having trouble ask your BF to get your glasses!!!!!

GT You are funny.. Just one thing the average visitor can't get 1 boy into a luxury hotel, never mind a group for an Orgy. You get them into Rio Intercon. because you are a Grand Pooba but the rest of us poor souls have no chance of getting a Boy into a 5 Star Hotel. I know from what I speak so no sense arguing with me. It is impossible for the average guest to get a Boy into his Hotel who is not registered as a guest. I will be happy to find quotes at every gay site you care to visit, or every blog on gay life in Brazil. You take the boy to a love Hotel, for 2 reasons, 1. It is impossible to get him into your Hotel. 2. The chance of him stealing from you is exponentially greater then it is in Thailand!!! Also as they say in political campaigns, you are entitled to your own feelings but not to your own facts. If you check Wikipedia you will find Bangkok has more people in the metropolitan area then does Sao Paulo and the Metropolitan area is 1/2 the size of Sao Paulo Metropolitan area. So yes Bangkok compares quite favorably with Sao Paulo and by many measurements is a much bigger and populated city.

Nice Try But Bangkok and SaoPaulo are the similar cities and therefore the ones to compare. The comparison will become even more unfavorable if we compare Rio to Pattaya where the Hotels are cheapen then Bangkok. BTW the only reason the rate is so low in Rio is because of all the bad publicity. I venture to say the rate will go up very soon when the violence is forgotten. Bottom line is you can negotiate with the Hotels in Thailand also, so the only fair comparison is the rate the Hotel website quotes you. If you can negotiate it down in Sao Paulo you can also negotiate it down in Bangkok. Bottom line Brazil 4 and 5 star Hotels are at least twice as much as similar Hotels in Thailand and by the way the restaurants in Brazil are also considerably more expensive then comparable restaurants in Thailand. BTW in no way am I saying that Brazil is not a great destination because it offers many things but it is in general far more expensive then Thailand. The boys might be the only thing that is priced relatively the same.

BTW Just to be fair I checked the same dates in Bangkok in November as in Brazil, on the Intercontinental website. Bangkok $140 per night. Rio $252 per night and Sao Paulo $362 per night. So lets see the difference between $140 and $362 per night is about 7200 baht per night. Now how many boys can I have in the Orgy for that amount???? Sorry Brazil you will have a long wait before you get any more of my money!!!!

I don't believe you and I know there is no boy with the room. Plus what you can get means nothing . Mere mortals like us have to pay the rate . We do not get special deals because we give the Hotel 200 nights a year. You should get good rates. You are an expert on many things even including restaurants outside of Brazil. In Brazil I always thought you must be on the payroll of the restaurants you took us to. Still the only place where I had to pay for entrance into a restaurant and never got any food. And I have reliable witnesses to attest? By the way Intercontinental in Sao Paulo during November $386 per night for the cheapest room. Hate to tell you what you can get in Bangkok for $386. You get the room and 5 boys LOL I know what my choice would be!!!!

Sorry GT but that is just not true about Hotel prices. Your memory is old and colored by the fact that you are a Grand Pooba in all these Hotel chains. There is just no comparison between the prices of 4 and 5 star Hotels in Brazil versus Thailand. It is hard to spend $150 in Bangkok unless you are picking a Holiday week etc. That dump the Atlantico gets almost $150 now and that Hotel is equivalent of a $20 hotel in Pattaya. Also Thailand has fabulous long stay serviced apartments for rent and Brazil has nothing like that and the apartments they do have are ridiculously over priced. Brazil has many reasons to visit but a bargain it is not. Three years ago maybe . If you want muscle it is a great place. The sex costs the same as Thailand and everything else in Brazil is far more expensive!!!!!

Android will fail just like all the other Apple imitators. Anyways compare Android to an Iphone is a fairer comparison. It cannot even begin to compare with the Ipad for computer uses. Its like comparing a 12" B&W TV with a 50" LCD. Take your pick Ipad or Iphone 4. They sell more in a week then Android sells in 6 weeks The customer has and will continue to speak. Tried the new Irish Bar/Restaurant 'Mulligans" on Beach Road attached to central Festival. It is a big place with indoor and outdoor seating and lots of tvs for the soccer matches. I ordered Fish and Chips. The portion was not enormous but adequate. The fish was of a high quality cod and it was evident the oil used was Hot because the coating was nice and crispy without being Oily. The best Fish and Chips I have had in Thailand although I have had some close where the portions were larger. They also had lemons which I consider essential and very few bars or restaurants have in Thailand. They always give you limes Ugh!! Also had the Apple Crumble. Again the portion was not huge but high quality, not a bunch of goo but real apples. Like all these type places the prices are not a bargain. I believe the Fish and Chips was 360 baht and the Apple Crumble 160 baht. Soda 60 baht for a total of 580 baht. Tax and service were included in the prices.

Goes right along with his BIG HEART. Guess it depends on how the break up went and if the friendship endures???
