To Z909 and others. I doubt your notebook folds to similar size and if it does, it is 3x as thick and at least 2.5 times as heavy. But if you need your computer for things other then web browsing, emails and need computing power then the Ipad will not replace the Notebook. However if you want to connect easily to Itunes for all their apps, movies, tv shows and music then your notebook has no chance in competing. If you want to be able to read any newspaper in the proper form from USA to the Wall Street Journal then no notebook will compete. And if you want to download books and read them in a style just like the book with diagrams , photos and color again there is no competition. If I owned the Airbook, I might not get an Ipad but if I had a Mac Book etc they I would definitely Have an Ipad and I do. The Ipad is what I travel with. It suits my needs and I never have to deal with the idiots at TSA in taking it out and putting it in the tray. It stays in my bag .

Why should they be better then any insurance company. Their Goal is never to pay unless forced to. They find things in the small print or bury you asking for things they never mentioned before and in the end you have to fight for everything. The only time you don't fight with an insurance company is when you pay the premiums. Helps to have a good independent agent , but still is no guarantee that you will be covered. Yes I buy it like everyone does and hope I never need it because I am sure I will get doubly sick trying to make them pay!!!!

Goes I guess would be great if you can get it. I wasted $100 applying. 3 weeks they told me denied. They give you no reason and if you want to find out you have to go to the Freedom of Information Route. Why bother their decision has been made. I have never been arrested . I have travelled all over the world. Never been accused of anything from Customs. Etc Etc Etc Far as I am concerned they just ripped me off of $100. I known people who have it and I am happy for them but don't even begin to think that you will be sure to get it.

Glad it hasn't had an effect on the sellers in Chiang Mai. I used to get at least 9 out every 10 excellent quality and worked fine in the USA also. Now I get about 4 out of 10 and 2 of those won't even play in the USA. Also it was 3 months before Karate Kid and the latest Tom Cruise movie were available. It used to be 3 days. Red has been out over a month and no sign of a decent copy here!!!

I don't dispute that lots of them are courteous. Many are not especially at Detroit and LosAngeles. They are just useless. Those barrels you talk about are before screening and people voluntarily display they have the wrong things and place them in the barrel. As I said hundreds of flights never looked or found out that I had no clear bags and liquids over the limit. You find me any barrels after the screening and take a picture. I have been in 40 airports in the USA the last 9 years and I have never seen one because there are none. That doesn't mean that once in awhile something electric looks suspicious and they ask to look in the bag and discover some liquid or nail clippers but it is a rare occurrence!!!!! They are ill trained and poor caliber . If they were put through training like the Israel inspectors and took their job seriously I might respect them. Don't forget most of them are the same types that let all the terrorists on board 9/11. They just have better uniforms now!!!!

Maybe things are still good in Chiang Mai but in Bangkok getting high quality and I stress High Quality is not easy anymore. I used to be amazed at being able to get a Master Copy a few days after the movie was out. I have yet to find a excellent copy of Tom Cruises latest movie or the Karate Kid , Red etc etc etc . From the same dealers I always bought from and new ones all I get is CRAP. I am lucky if it will even play in the USA when I return and the quality of the picture is 1/2 of what it used to be. From my perspective the Crackdown is working!!!

TSA are idiots and an overblown bureaucracy which provide no protection even if you assume they are looking at their screens. Since 9/1 I have been on hundreds of flights . I have never used their required clear bags for liquids etc. I have also had liquids above the allowed minimum numerous times although only a little bigger. I have never been stopped . My suitcase has never been opened not even once. They have no idea what they are doing . They are there strictly to make the masses think that flying is safe. Which of course it is!!! But not because of these idiots, but because there are thousands of flights a day and even if something bad happens on one flight the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor. You have more chance of dying crossing the road. A statistical fact!!!!! The only flights I ever got on where I was 100% sure there would be no terrorists or bombs are flights out of Israel. The other flights I take I am 99% sure things will be OK. There are many people getting rich off of these companies that provide people to TSA and screening devices etc etc etc. It's all about money plain and simple. If it wasn't then how come we find out 9 years after 9/11 that packages that are mailed never get scanned even though they are on our passenger planes all the time? Ridiculous!!!!!

The whole point of a Deli is Pastrami. Did you really live in NYC. OK well have Corned beef or Lox something that you can't get at Subway . After all that is the point of Street Life to provide you with the kind of Deli sandwiches not available elsewhere in Thailand!!!

God Bless you if you earned your money and want to spend it that away, as Thais would say "Up to You". For me I don't care what the product is . For that amount of money , they should provide a private room and 2 cute boys and even then it would not be worth it to me. The actual price to fly me there is an economy fare of $1200. That means I am paying $9000 for a bigger seat and some fancier food. Or I could go First Class and pay $16,000 . Now let's see for $16,000 I can rent a LUXURY Serviced apartment in Bangkok on the River for 1 year. And by the way for this ridiculous amount of money you get to have a 15 hour stopover (I guess in Dubai) Just what I really want to do on my way to Thailand. And you may be right that 72% of the customers are Non Arab but I would be willing to bet that 95% of the customers are not paying for their own tickets. They are being paid by the stockholders of the Companies that choose to pay those exorbitant fares.

They suck at most major airports especially DTW but I find them quite professional at medium size airports such as Providence. The question is who is worse, them or the idiots at Customs and Immigration. No contest in Detroit, Customs and Immigration wins hands down~~~

Actually I believe you can upgrade from economy to Business for the same miles as if you were in Premium Economy. I know the last time I called to upgrade to Premium and then use CERT to upgrade to Business. I was told no need just go from economy to Business no extra. Its just now the price of Premium Economy and then a ticket to the East Coast , makes it similar to the $3200 on Delta if you can find it and then use miles to upgrade and have Business for the whole trip. There are no deals anymore I am afraid???

Classic did have my type of Boys in the past. The reports have been so bad recently , I did not even waste my time stopping in. I would say many of that type were in X Size last night. But there was a wide range of types.

I am sure that their clientele are mostly from Arab rich countries where Oil that the idiots in the West continue to consume allows them to waste money with no regard to its value. Most normal people have to get value for their money and many airlines have a perfectly fine Business Class available with a little work for $4-$5000. Only someone who is using someone elses money or is filthy rich would pay $10,000 for a business class ticket. I shutter to think the price of a First Class ticket.

They might be great but you have to be as rich as Donald Trump. I just checked multiple days 3 and 4 months out. Travel any day of week. Business Class $10,000. This is Business not First. Are they out of their minds????

Arrived in Bangkok last night so took a short visit to Soi Twilight tonight. Had dinner at the new and expanded Dick's Cafe. Tables were all full except one seat and street appeared to be very busy. My first stop was Oceans in the former site of Future Boys. The renovation is quite nice with comfortable sofas and new stage and area for Coyote Dancers. Ordered a Diet Coke and it took a ridiculous amount of time for it to come but since I really consider it as an entrance fee id din't really care. Was given a cold towel and some chips which is a nice touch. Now I know that Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder but for this beholder , the 30 or 40 boys that were rotating were some of the most unattractive boys I have ever seen in a GO Go Bar in Thailand. There was not one boy I would have offed for free. I recognize others may have a different take so take a look if you are there. Next I went to Xboys which has been my favorite for a long time. Some familiar faces and a few new ones. Some cute boys and by comparison, far more attractive then Oceans IMHO. Next X Size. Up the stairs and as I entered the Bar I saw more cute boys in 15 seconds , then I had seen all night. Now I am a face person and that is what attracts me and then look at the rest as the parade continues. There were probably 40-50 boys and at least 10 I would have taken on face alone. Unfortunately my favorites were of the straight variety and had no intention of being Bottoms. But there were others who certainly would have , but alas I was too tired to partake. I left as soon as the show started.(I hate shows) That was enough for me . I think the drinks were 240 everywhere except I only paid 200 at Oceans because the mamasan was embarrassed about how long it took to bring my change.

Well said and I get those requests even when I am in Thailand from past friends and many times ask for nothing in return. The boys are not stupid. They know the difference between someone who lives in Thailand and someone who is visiting. They adjust what they expect from a year round regular customer and are happy with it. Also they know the going rate and just because they got a generous farang last night, they don't expect it the next night. I can't remember the last time I asked a boy "How Much". I pay what I know to be an acceptable rate and hand it to him as he leaves. In the last 7 years I have maybe had 3 requests for more and when I smiled and said No they smiled and left. BTW that doesn't work if you are trying to give them 3-500 baht.. If thats what you want you better have it agreed to in advance and IMHO you should be ashamed of yourself. But thats just my opinion

Your friends are definitely right and IMHO the long is only 1500 in Pattaya 2000 in Bangkok. Those are the more then acceptable rates. However if you choose to be more generous, that is your business and I seriously doubt you are screwing it up for anyone else. Depending on the boy you choose he will be thankful for the good fortune of a very generous farang and knows better then to expect that on a normal basis from others.

He should be happy with 1000 per day and a bonus at the end if you feel he deserves it. Naturally you alsp pay for all his meals etc and give him some free time every day to be with is friends etc.

If you are staying at a nice Hotel, they should have nice big flat screen tvs. Then all you need is the proper cable and you have a 32 or 40 inch monitor at your disposal. Beats lugging it around by a long shot!!!

Arrived from America on Thursday and went to Soi Twilight Friday night. Arrived for Show with a friend at 945pm at Boys. Only because my friend is well known did we get a good seat. BY 10.15 at the start of the show the door was closed and no one else allowed in. They later told my friend on a smoking break that they had turned away over 100 people. Before the Show about 50 boys maybe more rotated around the stage. There was something for everyone including Slim boyish types which has been missing at other visits. Official capacity is 240 people. Drinks are 300 for first drink and 260 after. Boy drinks are 260. I know ridiculous but you can't argue with success and at least this night he was making a fortune. The crowd was 95% Asian and they love the Show. It was ok for me but I don't like shows period so to be fair there are great costumes and thought in the routines. There was a Fuck show with 6 boys. There were a lot of offs during the show. When the show ends they have a dancing show starting downstairs and within 10 minutes that was standing room only. This is the best part IMHO. 16 Coyote Dancers sweating like crazy doing their routines. When they finish the rotation starts again. Many offs also during this period. So it would appear business is coming back in full force to Bangkok.<br>
