  1. And when all that money, corruptly obtained, and filtered up the chain to the big fish, needs to be laundered so they can buy yachts, fast cars and properties all over the world, which city do they go to? Day to day life for the average British citizen doesn't involve direct contact with corruption, sure.
  2. If you're paying money, and its a short term thing, it's always transactional. If you're pleasing to the boys eye, then its an easy job for them. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all. If everything about you turns them off, it's just a tough day for them; but they've had worse days. Probably. In relationships where wealth of each partner is significantly different, the lines between romance and transaction become more blurred. One can see it as paying in arrears... or as just one of those quirks of love.
  3. No, not really unfair on the UK. The UK is highly corrupted. Anyone taking a cold hard look at the financial services that London provides can see that corruption is its lifeblood, and it's capilliaries spread throughout UK establishments and around the world.
  4. Indeed. Which means that it's not just Labour thats not Far Right
  5. That would make it a not well functioning democracy
  6. Most people think the Tories have gone very right wing in recent years... but not many place them as "far right".
  7. Since it's already being discussed... useful to note that Singapore, although a city state, is a one party authoritarian country that's done exeedingly well. There are benefits to authoritarianism... but to realise it, the Government needs to be focused on doing right by the people and being highly resistant to corruption. A benefit of a well functioning democracy is that corrupt leaders can be voted out of office. Corruption is the disease that prevents these countries from growing and progressing.
  8. They are the best parties.
  9. Not quite at war with the food courts... But the food on the street is good. Just gotta pick the stuff that's cooked right in front of you.
  10. Yup. This. Deals were made.
  11. Yup. Decent point here. But either way; you're not really gonna find old men selling their bodies on go go stages. You will find them in bars, on apps, in saunas... and you just start a conversation and find out if they're interested. (But not if its a go-go place, and they're eyeing the boys on the stage)
  12. There are lots of bars on Soi 4 that are just bars. It's not a very long Soi. Your friend could walk along it, pick one he likes the look of, take a seat and have a chat with the other patrons. My Favourites are Telephone and Stranger Bar, but your friend might enjoy different venues.
  13. To be fair, I don't have quite the same perspective, I think Though if one is paying for their time, it should be expected that they give all of that time, and not be playing on their phones.
  14. I'd guess many of the bars on Soi 4 for just vibes. Don't know about the sex aspect... might be harder to get the attention of older gentlemen who're there for the local boys, not only because of age, but because of other aesthetic reasons too. But I guess it is always worth trying the saunas recommended, and the usual apps... not everyone is quite specific about what they want and it wouldn't be right to suggest that *all* the old farang in Thailand are there for one thing.
  15. OH Absolutely it's the same either way. If the phone isn't flat on the table, I'd get suspicious. And I'd be super offended if they start playing with their phone mid- session. But, I am generally like to say yes if a guy wants to film... so long as he keeps my face out and uses my phone so I can review and delete at will
  16. Honestly sad and depressing that guys do this kind of shit. I guess its about getting the thrill, the power trip, from doing something to someone without their consent. But it's actually pathetic, and makes one exactly like the other digusting individuals who violate consent.
  17. It's really sad, the A380s are great planes - Especially for those who fly economy and could grab one of the more spacious seats that were available on the top deck in some seating plans. But they were built for an out of date hub and spoke network... still works really well for the Middle Eastern airlines whose home cities are typically not big destinations, but are located well for travel between Eastern US, Europe and Asia 787 and A350's are much better for direct flights between smaller airports; which ultimately benefits travellers as they spend less time waiting on transfers.
  18. Sadly, tinnitus has excluded me from experiencing silence again. The type of people who have to say whatever thought pops into their head, no matter how inane and pointless it is, because they cannot cope with being sat next to someone they know and not actively being engaged in conversation.
  19. "I did not sleep on the plane and to add , two ladies sitting in my row were yakking quite loudly for most of the flight." This is where a good pair of noise cancelling headphones, and a decent selection of music can really help. The noise cancelling should take the edge of the yakking, and the decent music should cover the rest. I won't fly with out them!
  20. Thanks... Castro is the show bar I think we went to. Was camp and fun, and some good looking boys performing I might have to spend a few days there checking each out now
  21. So I've been to Pattaya once, for only a few nights. We went to Boyztown one evening, and I found it quiet... I think it was low season, so that's probabaly why. I'm planning a trip to Thailand later this year - November/December. Solo this time. I know that there is different areas, Boyztown, Jomtien and Sunee... whats the differences between them? Do they have different vibes? Attract different crowds?
  22. I'd suggest its a paradise compared to some drab and boring run of the mill town in the middle of nowhere, with winter bringing short days and cold weather that doesn't agree with old bones But one mans paradise is anothers hell, I guess
  23. One that has sandy beaches, warm weather and lots of eye candy.
  24. Sometimes the reality does not match the fantasy. But if you do not ask, you will not get.
  25. Yes, I can see how farangs who move to Thailand to be with a Thai boy, and do not put the effort in to build/maintain a social network of friends may find themselves stuck and alone; with the choice seeming like to be lonely in a paradise, or lonely in greyer, colder climes.
