  1. I had no trouble at the Galeria Plaza Reforma, in the Zona Rosa. I’ve stayed there several times, though it’s been a few years now.
  2. What the website says and what actually happens are two different things…
  3. Another place I would recommend is the Raj Mahal Inn, in Wadduwa, about 40 km south of Colombo. It’s a small hotel with just 6 rooms, but the big draw there is that it’s clothing optional and caters pretty much exclusively to gay men. It’s a one man operation and the owner Raja is a super nice guy, who is also a trained masseur. Besides the tourists who stay there, local nudists can buy a day pass and come spend some time. Again, mostly gay men, although once while I was there a local straight couple came for the afternoon. There’s no problem inviting the visiting locals to your room, so there’s fun to be had with them, fellow guests, and even the owner himself. It’s just a few minutes walk from a gorgeous beach which was almost empty while I was there. Also it’s conveniently located just steps from the train station. There’s not a lot to see in the town of Wadduwa, but it has all the necessities: restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, bank machines, etc. You can easily do a day trip to Colombo from there by train, which I did with a Norwegian guy who was staying there while I was there.
  4. I was at Gomez Place in January and the standard price was 6,000 SLR. That’s about $20 USD. I agree with Daniel that many, perhaps most, are gay for pay. But they are still very enthusiastic. I remember one young guy who was beautiful, handsome and very well built, who was just as eager to go down on me as I was to go down on him!
  5. What month will you be there?

    India

I was in Delhi this past winter and stayed at the Lalit Hotel. It’s a very nice place, close to Connaught Circle, and is known to be gay friendly. There’s a bar in the hotel called Kitty Su which has a gay night once a week, (although I didn’t go to it). I believe it’s either Wednesday or Thursday. While I was staying there I hooked up with another guest, an Indian lawyer from Mumbai who was in town for work. I also had a local guy visit me there. He was introduced to me by a friend I met in Goa. There is security at the hotel entrance, but he had no trouble getting in (2 days in a row). He told them he had a meeting with a client. It helped that he was 40ish and well dressed. it’s a 5 star hotel, so it might be expensive if you’re on a tight budget, but for me it was worth it. Delhi can be overwhelming (all of India actually) so it’s nice to have an oasis of calm.
  7. I want to go to Tunisia!!!
  8. This was 5 years ago, during the summer of 2019. “Scoring” in this instance refers to blow jobs in a secluded area of the park.
  9. I scored at the Villa Borghese park twice, both during the daytime. One guy was a local, about my age (50’s), and the other was a young Colombian guy in his 20’s and hot! One of my better cruising experiences. We even went for a beer in the park canteen afterwards.
  10. I think I stayed 3 nights at Gomez, just after I arrived in Sri Lanka, and another night before I flew out. It is convenient because it is fairly close to the airport. It’s a great place to relax after a long flight, and get settled in to a new time zone (especially since I flew in from Canada). And I good introduction to Sri Lankan men…. While the hotel is lovely, there isn’t a lot to see in the town of Negombo itself. You really should check out some other places such as Kandy, Galle, Sigiriya, Nnuwara Eliya, Adam’s Peak, etc. Sri Lanka is a really beautiful country with lots of things to see and do (besides the men!)
  11. Well, I wish I knew the answer to that question! But in Sri Lanka it seems like they find you. In Gomez Place it is quite overt, the young guys are there waiting for someone to hire them for a massage. In other places, it’s just a matter of striking up a conversation. Eventually it will lead to the inevitable questions like, “Are you travelling alone?” or “Are you married?” After that it won’t take them long to let you know they are interested. Maybe not explicitly, but with lots of smiles and eye contact. That’s something I really liked about Sri Lankan men.
  12. I stayed at Gomez Place in 2018. Lots of handsome young men hanging about, for you to engage for a massage. Mr. Gomez himself told me the going rate ($20 at that time). I had lots of fun in Sri Lanka, with guest house staff, tuktuk drivers, etc. I’m considering going back there this coming winter, maybe as a side trip to a longer trip to India. If anyone has been to Kerala I’d be interested in your observations and/or recommendations.
