Look I'm going to be honest , my Filipino boyfriend suggested sometime we should go on a cruise in Alaska that he looked up. I asked him if it was thru a "gay travel company"? No he said ,"Does it matter? Yes , I'm going to feel very awkward on a cruise with a man (Boyfriend)who has boyish looks and is 30yo whilst I'm 62 and mostly retired European & American couples on the cruise who may judge/not judge I won't go on something like that, cruises etc , that means I have to be open and introduce my partner etc only to be laughed at behind our backs or judged etc ,no not for me unless it's a gay travel agency

What airline has the bar upstairs? Is that Emirates ? There is unfortunately only one business lounge at Manila airport which gets crowded . I flew Philippines airlines business class and had the overnight flight so had the sleeper bed. They serve a meal to you with choice of drinks about an hour after take off then an hour later turn off the lights ,I slept about 5 hours out of a 8 hour flight.

Sure , and I seen this a few weeks ago flying economy from Manila to Bangkok, a very obese elderly farang sat in the aisle seat in front of me,next to another farang and his Filipino GF. I heard him say to the couple in a Australian accent that he was very sorry but couldn't afford to fly business class. I did feel very sorry for him as part of his body was sticking out into the aisle and the air hostess pushing the trolley up & down the aisle were very rude to him,"excuse me!! Excuse me! ,,they would shout everytime to get pass.

Not a habit among young people though it seems, particularly in the West where PREP usage seems to be high I guess many didn't live through that era of Aids , and now with PREP encouraged they take the risk without condom usage .

Just asked my Australian Filipino boyfriend about Glan,he says last time he was there 2010 ,that there was a "indigenous" population there who caused crime. I searched for this on Google but can't see anything related to that,it may have been before but Glan seems beautiful and one place I will visit on my return.

Min's tidbits about my Thailand and Vietnam experiences
Olddaddy replied to Min's topic in Gay Thailand
I think Korean guys are the hottest guys on the planet I'm attracted by the eyes the most and their dominance. Saw a few in the Philippines on Grindr but sadly didn't seem to be into me π£ I wonder if there is much action in South Korea and younger into Daddies,? I guess it would be Pay4play there mostly? -
Don't take it the wrong way but you sound like me sometimes π,Im sometimes a cheap Charlie too ,but I weak when it comes to comfort,I just can't sit in economy so long ! For clothes & things I just buy non brand name ,I'm not into expensive brands but for transport I hate discomfort, and I'm impatient so have to spend more in better class and taxis instead of buses . I think Macaroni you also wrote in a previous post you always take the baht bus for 10 baht up to Pattaya rather than use the Grab taxi , π ,I love it !!!π€£π€£

Guys times have changed from many years ago ,and even being old I try to move on with the times. It's great anti HIV meds were introduced a few years ago. Back in the 80's many scare campaigns were around and if course rightly so for that era, but times have changed and taking Prep and wearing no condom is now not considered unsafe sex as far as I can tell by the health departments around the world So I used Prep for many months before taking my 2 month trip to Asia,I stopped it when I got covid and started feeling nausea. However mostly I went back on it ,it's not 200% protection and you can still get other sexual diseases. To be brutally honest I had sex without a condom probably 90% of the time whilst in Asia ( I'm bottom so a receiver) The only time I had made my sex partner wear one was if he was a "moneyboy" particularly in places like Pattaya. I trusted many of the Filipino guys whilst I was in the Philippines mostly because they were non money boys ,and usually married closeted . I had (paid) sex with one Filipino security guard no condom as he was a virgin ( turned out to be a dud fuck ,he cum in around 30 seconds of fuckingπ€¨)but mostly only in Thailand I made the guys wear a condom especially if they were well entrenched moneyboys . Are many of you guys taking Prep and now have you changed your sex practice not to use condoms? To be brutally honest I hate my sexual partner wearing a condom,I enjoy the skin on skin contact and just the fantasy of the married guy ejaculating in me ? It's more likely you can get other sexual diseases other than HIV especially if your blowing other guys and things like HPV in the throat are more common along with red eye etc Times have changed and peoples attitudes towards sexuality have changed and I think it's great

Yes many of them you meet in the apps (except the free married closeted guys) will want to see you again and be your tour guide etc ( mostly uni students) Even at 62yo I had a lot of free sex in the Philippines,it made it so difficult when I went back to Pattaya my last few weeks of the trip to have everyone ask for money for everything. It didn't seem "horny" is that the word? to have some guy fucking my ass (Thailand) knowing I paid him and he is staring at the wall barely enough to get a hard dick ! I would rather than have some tattooed tradesman in the Philippines for free who is closeted gay fucking my ass in his lunchbteak for free as his wife is not giving him pussy The best guys in the Philippines were straight middleaged guys , tradies who wore their high viz vest fucking me for 5 or 10 minutes. No money involved I had one guy in General Santos City ( I think he was a electrician) about 35,very fit looking, tatts , pull up at my motel directly outside the door, with his ute ,child seat in the back, he fucked me for like 3 minutes on the bed ,I was on my back watching his face as he enjoyed my old ass pussy, ,no condom , then say to me " now I empty my balls I feel so good ,my wife doesn't let me empty ! With that and a smile on his dial, he answered I presumed a customer call and he drove off on his merry way in his ute ,π

I just watched a YouTube vid a farang who lost his job in the UK ,51yo,had enough of the UK, moved to Dumamagette in the Philippines (farang area)to be with his GF and after 7 months was so bored and got sick of the culture he has moved back. Now that's someone who I guessed went for his yearly 4 week vacation and loved it , and then tried it full time and couldn't lead the " normal life" there .

Yes and I hated it The only great place was a Korean owned hotel I stayed in which was fantastic. Angeles city had its own walking street with go Go bars ,didn't see any gay ones ,a lot of mature aged ladies seemed to be working outside, some even our age π³ Expensive for me and I'm very stingy , unfortunately many have tourist prices in cafes etc. As for traffic it was horrendous, hard to cross roads etc and mostly all American fast food restaurants, but a lot of Korean owned go Go bars & Business and I enjoyed walking in Korean town,so many hot Korean boys working these food shops π A lot of Koreans in Angeles cityπ Nope .not a place I would retire not my cup of tea,I imagine on Grindr there are boys available probably all moneyboys but I got covid so wasn't interested.
-
I found the people more friendly in Gensan,it reminded me of Udon Thani People driving past actually waved at me , even cars at traffic lights directed me to cross the road .
-
I used Grinder in Manila, had a few free non money boys , a few moneyboys ,prices wanted in Manila varied from 1000 pesos (700b) to 2000

I guess it's " convenience"& comfort in using a air conditioning Grab car rather than a baht bus. The majority of us are old ,and with being old you can become lazy just like me π Sometimes just for comfort & convenience I used a Grab to go from jomtien complex to Pattaya, rather than walk up the hill, wait in the heat for the baht bus then spend the next 20 minutes stopping and going with people crowding in with you .

Problem with that green seat , is they line up for the toilets hovering over you I was in seat which is just opposite you,I look up from my aisle seat they are all lined up for the toilet standing over me , for now on anywhere near toilets for me is a no go . People I found out are fascinated by toilets even on a 1 hour flight .

The last few months of traveling I took several flights, Philippines airlines, and Cebu Pacific, To me seating is very important,I can't travel for more than a few hours without feeling cramped so have to end up flying Business class most times I'm 98kg so not overly heavy A few weeks ago I done the most stupid thing,I booked a flight from Manila city to a city in the south of the Philippines called General Santos City,it's a 1 hour flight so I looked online and booked what I thought were great seats ! As soon as I got on Cebu Pacific flight , yep , I thought this is great the 3 seats right up the front of the plane were to myself,I looked back in the plane to see other seats all crowded π³ little did I know ,the toilets were right next to my seats !!!π³So every few minutes someone would walk the aisle right in front of my seat nearly trampling on my feet to get past to the toilet, I ended up without asking moving seats ,never book the very front of the plane seats guys if you see a toilet right next to it ,I soon learnt. As for economy I travelled Bangkok to Manila, Philippines airlines economy seats 70k aisle seat ,which is also near the toilets, 3 seater I had the aisle seat, a large Filipino who looked more Hawaiian/islander sat next to me and kept pushing me, a baby in the next seat crying and wailing for the 3.5 hour flight ,the second economy flight I took, Manila to Bangkok I bring headphones π I looked up ahead in the aisle to see a very very large old farang in the aisle seat with half his body out into the aisle, I heard the staff pushing the trolley up the aisle keep saying excuse me to him,how embarrassing for himπ³ People lined up stretching past my economy seat 70k seat for the toilets, breathing & coughing over me standing above me A few days ago I flew Philippines airlines Manila to Sydney seat 3K in Business class, the whole seat to myself flat down bed , great food, and that 8 hour flight went so quick , I could never never travel 8 hours in economy, Business lounge Louis at Bangkok airport was great ,a large separate dining area with relatively great food , free wifi, great coffee When I got to the outdated ninoy Aquino airport in Manila went to the crowded business lounge there wasn't the best but ok to sit for the 4 hour transit ,it seems it's the only business lounge in the airport which became crowded very quickly Manila airport looks like the old Don meung in Bangkok only more outdated, small dark , they really need to build a modern airport But I'm very stingy sometimes and don't like to spend money so just for the 3 hour flight I probably will still fly economy and sit with all the baby's crying and people listening to YouTube loudly etc π π Anyone here flown first class though ,I noticed Philippines airlines has no first class now On another note Philippines airlines now I noticed have "Premium economy," I noticed this was in front of normal economy class area ,I flew Business so no idea about it ,but I looked back when the curtain was open it seems the seats are bigger ,so you guys on the larger side may consider that instead of normal economy Just on that, you guys who are on the larger size just like me,do you still fly economy ? I actually feel empathy for the farangs I saw who were very large sitting in economy,I'm 98kg myself so I even found it difficult cramped for the 3 hours so if that farang I saw was I would say 150kg plus just imagine that flight for him.

I'm looking at Philippines. Dumamagette,Palawan and even General Santos City
-
General Santos City,or Gensan for short is a city in the southern part of the Philippines,it's more a country type city . It even has its own international airport although you can't fly there directly from other countries, you have to change at Manila airport. Gensan is known as the "tuna capital" of the Philippines and will hold the tuna festival in September for those interested. I found General Santos City the best out of all the cities I visited. There's no condos there or skyscrapers,it's a large country type city where the people are friendly and cheap prices . As for guys I had 8 in 2 weeks and the majority didn't want pay ! Two asked for trycycle money to my hotel ,(100 pesos) another asked for 1000 pesos (about 700baht) the others were bisexual guys in the tuna industry looking for quick fuck for free. They were all tops and a few had tattoos and most were either married or had girlfriends,I got them all of grinder. General Santos City ( Gensan) has a few 4 star hotels one a 4.5 and also a casino inside the hotel. Country city like this is worth a visit esuif your in your mature years because the bisexual guys on Grindr are horny for new ass , very few farangs are in Grindr in Gensan , I saw a few backpackers only . So guys I ask you to explore rather than just go to Thailand every year ! Try the Philippines!!! Especially country cities like general Santos City & Davao,2 of the most safest cities in the Philippines!

I walked everywhere no problems,Manila is over policed by private security police on nearly every corner No one bothered me except a few beggars , I'm sure I would find it more scary in the USA Its seems it's a bit of a myth saying how dangerous it is, I would rather walk through Manila at night than say some Country Cities in Australia at night.
-
I recommend you hire a gayguide for the first few days then you will be confident walking alone Far better to be alone you will get boys approach you rather than they see someone with you
-
60baht?π³ Last few weeks they were charging/qouting me from 80 to 100 from jomtien complex to Boyztown !!ππ Mind you I just paid 100 b usually include the tip ππ
-
You could get a Grab of course or more time on your hands a baht bus But it's a hassle especially if your going to take Boyz from the go go bar back to your room. That would mean arranging transport from Boyztown to jomtien for you and boy(s) and obviously bigger service fee in relation to the moneyboy
-
Well not really. If you sold your house in farangland wherever that may be ,and make Thailand your home then it's going to be expensive to go back to your own country unless you had somewhere to stay cheaply.
-
Yes not a good idea to sell up everything in your own home country and then be left with nothing if Shit hits the fan.
