  1. If you had or did move there , what would you routine be like, would it be different to what you do in London Would you become bored with that lifestyle night after night bar hopping
  2. I guess my food bill would be more than 150b a day ! 😄 I did eat at SINT cafe a few mornings , and Dolce Vita but yes eating farang food would go over your budget if you have to scrimp by. I would have to have Air Con though , wouldn't be able to live in a fan room.
  3. Yes , sometimes I tend to get the impression that farangs think by somehow moving to Thailand will solve all their problems being lonely. Some move for a boyfriend only to fall out with them later , then the boredom of hiring money boys just becomes a business transaction and not exciting anymore as you negotiate prices " how much you pay me " becomes mundane
  4. Look , I met many farangs in Pattaya who were happy in 50k a month One man who I spoke to regularly in a bar was on the Australian pension of 44k a month and told me he still saved money He rented a studio in jomtien and told me he cooked all his own meals. I didn't ask him how much rent he paid and he didn't offer ,I imagine the 10k mark??? Apparently bought most ingredients from the markets and cooked himself ,had a hotplate in his room ,he had vegetables with him when I was talking to him and doesn't buy at supermarket,he was complaining Foodland at jomtien were robbers so never shops there he filled his day with Netflix he told me ,mind you he was in his early 70's . Not sure the cost of Netflix in Thailand but I did notice him use the bars wifi so maybe he just buys a drink to use the wifi 😄 He hadn't been to a Go Go bar in years because of prices He seemed to frequent the same bars so may have got a discount perhaps,he seemed to go home at around 8pm to He told me over the course of a few meetings he bought used shoes from the bukhao market for 100 baht and t shirts 40 b and they looked good too I must say He goes to the sunday markets up on some busy road Thappraya? Buys all his food from some markets ,he told me there was some French bread shop up near the traffic lights in jomtien that sold 2 bread in the evening for one price ,and he buys chicken and rice for 40 baht so anyway obviously he knows how to survive I guess he has the requirements of 800k in the bank So he said to me he spends less than 44k a month So that's his life I guess ,living in a studio room and it may suit him , he looked happyhe says he sits on the small balcony every morning with his coffee But me , I probably would get bored during the day ,wake up in the morning go to the gym ,then what ,? Watch Netflix like he does ? Whether that is a life for all of us I don't know ,I guess it's better than living in Australia or the UK though
  5. Last trip I looked at many condo's in Pattaya with a focus of renting it out should I not stay . So I looked at the low class Flybird to the high class ones . Flybird was cheap starting at 300,000 baht for a studio ,had stairs only and seemed to be a combination of thais and farangs I also took into consideration closeness to markets ,gyms , walking distance to most things as I don't drive a motorcycle. I looked at a few in jomtien, unfortunately some had high strata fees and low maintenance. One I looked at seemed to be very noisy ,a lot of family holiday screaming kids running around etc and that condo was right near the pool. I couldn't imagine living there at Xmas time ,it was only a 26sqm one bedroom somehow thinking I couldn't live in a box . Good price though at 1.2 million baht with a complex gym and pool ,strata fees were 15k a year . But I can't see myself living in a box Owning and even buying now so I could tenant it was my idea until I move in to it myself in the future , unfortunately the agent told me there is a oversupply of rentals at this time . But I decided to wait it out which may not be a good idea as I'm sure prices will go back up
  6. I know your not only talking about gay expats as such and this is both gay & straight, but despite there being a lot of boys for hire etc and gay bars there is still...... Lonilessness!!! Paying a money boy for a hour and he is gone then the expat sit in their bedsitter watching tv or whatever., It was exciting at first then after awhile it just becomes another business transaction between you and the moneyboy The next day the same I guess if your life is the same in Sydney or Manchester then it's better to be in Thailand, rather than be in cold England But if you have friends ,hobbies etc wherever you come from your going to leave all that behind to live in a studio in jomtien hiring money boys and sitting at beer bars staring at people going by ,you will soon tire & getting bored everyday , so careful thinking going from one life to another Friends & family are not around ,sure WhatsApp video but not the same , I guess as an expat you need a hobby , something to fulfil your days ,other than bars and money boys ,your going to tire of that , your going to have to make friends, unfortunately some in places like the flybird & Nirun condo can be seen early morning drinking alcohol boredom and Lonilessness can creep in after awhile
  7. Unfortunately there are ways around this . Visa agents who provide a service so you have the required 800k at the time of the application
  8. Yes ,I often wonder how old age pensioners who don't have the government housing can afford to live in Australia on that amount (around 44k) especially in Sydney. And that goes for all of you around the World who are on a Government old age pension ,whether your in Sydney, Blackpool , or Glasgow, it's far better quality of life in my opinion to live on that in Thailand or Philippines. Of course then you maybe giving up your pension benefits such as free healthcare ,free transport , maybe even subsidy for housing etc so there's pros & cons in this I have no idea about the US and their government pension , I think there it starts at 62 unlike the UK & Australia where we have to wait until 67 Of course I have forgotten about the expense of medical insurance so if your on a government pension it would be difficult to pay ,something you have to consider to live in Asia without medical insurance, if you get sick you would have to go back to the UK or Australia.
  9. Very true ,I forgot about that . Many live on the Australian old age pension that I spoke to , something like 43/44k a month
  10. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣That's the funniest thing I read in a long time ! I was just on a train here in Sydney 11pm reading this and I laughed out loud continuously laughing , 3 people in my train carriage got up to leave to another carriage !🤣 A guy opposite me looked at me and for some reason I looked at him and said " dentures ! And started laughing 🤣🤣🤣 He shook his head sideways slowly and walked off ,I'm sure he mumbled under his breath "weirdo 🤣
  11. I always thought especially nowadays with increased retirement funds many of the gay farang expats living in Thailand were quite comfortable. This was not my feeling when I went last month, there was even expat bar owners who cried poor to me . And there was several cases I saw on Grindr of older farangs who were selling their services . " hey mate I will suck you off for 500 baht ,interested? One farang was persistent going into detail on what he could do for baht , looking at his profile he was in his 70's ,I guess trying to supplement his pension. I spoke to some expats who were living on their monthly pension around 43,000 baht a month...which...I might add they said they were comfortable on. Obviously they don't pay tourist rates for boys Speaking to a bar waiter in JC he pointed out a farang , " he doesn't have much money , only comes when we have party ' he just walk up & down all night " But it begs the question how many are living on the breadline ,did they retire too early ,maybe didn't work or there is even some cases of gay farang being married and split up and lost half of their savings then moved to Thailand. I guess and I'm only guessing though that the majority would be financially comfortable I mean this generation of retirees should be more financially comfortable than say the ones 20 years ago but....they seem different in the fact they don't seem to care as much and I noticed quite a few in their 50's smoking weed. Anyway life goes on
  12. I believe your absolutely right ,that's my experience but yes in different places eg Philippines there is more into daddy types
  13. Well I did But I must say I had sex with the "African " money boys in Pattaya whilst I was there ,big dicks and nice too , two of them But paying money boys is just not in my fantasy anymore , I actually messaged a Thai guy in Sydney last night on Grindr 38yo I said you looking for a fuck? He replies " I'm a moneyboy" I replied back " At your age? Leaving it a bit late Thai daddy aren't you " He ended up blocking me ,maybe he just didn't like my pic so was using excuses but I certainly won't be paying money for guys anywhere in the world at that age !
  14. I found Filipino boys are into daddies the most ,that's my experience anyway
  15. The worse ones were guys over 30yo saying they were moneyboys but demanding my cock pic first 🙄
  16. Personal attacks shouldn't be tolerated , that says a lot about the persons character behind the screen name . I actually met a forum member in jomtien complex, was drinking with him ( orange juice) when he personally commented on another farang sitting by , " Look at that queen over there " he should of been born a girl the douchebag " I looked at him and said " at the end of the day you still take it up the arse right " so don't judge others ! With that he left without saying goodbye ,good riddance
  17. I soon found out they are hardened shrewd businessman I'm also pretty sure there is a " service" in Pattaya that answers these boys Grindr messages On two occasions I had someone message me the word "client" , eg " I am not late to clients so expect me there on time " It was all business , and they are hustlers The problem is many of us live in the past and it's all changed ,different generation, Despite what you read on here there is no guys starving ,some even have the audicity to turn up in in a Hilux and ask for parking !!! they still want to qoute you high prices etc and you have to haggle , The days if fantasy about some young isaan boyish looks are gone ,now you have shrewd demanding pushy businessman as moneyboys You see that's the "fantasy's most guys have on here ,they imagine isaan brown skinned boys starving for money from a farang when instead it's some pouty lipped moneyboy who had lip surgery with the latest iPhone haggling his quote You all live in the past I got sick of it and went to the sauna for people who wanted to really have their dicks sucked
  18. Famous rock band 1975 has been banned from Malaysia after a concert there last week kissing each other . Yes you know their songs if you still haven't heard of them
  19. I have no pity for the money boys in Pattaya and I just experienced 6 weeks there.
  20. Yes Philippines is now my option. I'm looking Duamegette or Davao City
  21. Wow , must be over 90, I remember her 80th birthday in Sydney, that must of been over 12 years ago Good on her , fantastic to hear she is still around 👍
  22. 💚💚💚💚 Yes definitely. Before I met my Filipino boyfriend here in Australia I did get very lonely ,to compensate I was going to the gym two or 3 times a day to beat loneliness
  23. Very true Top guys are in demand no matter your age , especially if you have a big tool .
  24. Philippines is the same
  25. I saw on the news the Australian Federal Police are now opening up a office in Pattaya to deal with crime by Australians !🤣
