  1. Literally, few guys ask about Mexico, on these particular forums. A site administrator will look at the number of inquiries about a destination before considering a separate forum. There's just not enough interest in Mexico and Mexican hustlers to warrant that.
  2. Nice upper body. But down below? Unless he's a grower, looks like a disappointment unless one is looking for a bottom.
  3. No, I don't. There's just not enough interest in Mexico ... on this forum.
  4. I've traveled in Mexico for 40+ years, and lived in Mexico City for 6 years. So, I have a perspective/opinion. Mexico City is a high-altitude city, 7,400 ft. above sea level. Shirts-off would be appropriate in Acapulco or Puerto Vallarta or Cancun, but not Mexico City (due to climate). Yes, Mexico is a conservative country. Gay may be accepted, but not welcomed. Guys in Mexico City dress similarly to guys in the USA: whatever fits the moment. T-shirts, dress shirts, button-down, etc. Gym-going and outdoor physical activity is commonplace in the Mexico City gay and straight community. Comparing cultures amongst countries is problematic. Lifestyle in Rio is not easily comparable with other countries. But, Mexican guys love to party. Overall, I prefer the stereotypical Brazilian garotos to Mexican hustlers. Hands-down. g
  5. I sported a 7" hard-on in 8th grade. About the same time, as a Freshman in High School (14 years old) I'd hang-out outside the Chicago Greyhound Bus Station and "Daddies" would pick me up and blow me in a nearby hotel. It was for the pleasure / excitement, not any financial reward. Some teen friends would hit me up, to blow me. As a freshman in high school I had an 8thg grade guy living downstairs sucking me off, whenever I wanted. I'd hitch-hike home from school, and, without missing a beat ... an older guy (some young, too) would pick me up and, before dropping me off at my stop ... suck me off. I was a athletic team equipment manager, and two of the athletes were suckable, and sucked, also. I started picking-up rent boys when I was in my late 20s. A bit later in life, in my 30s, I'd travel to NYC and was a frequent patron of Rounds ... the most extraordinary hustler bar in the city at the time. I'd pick-up actors, models, etc. for a pittance .. enough for them to go to Limelight or Studio 54, or pay for a snort; beautiful fucks. My travels to Rio have been rewarding. I'm now in my 70s, because of cancer not a top anymore ... but I always enjoy myself with the menu of handsome young men. Thank you to the garoto's and other Brazilians for making me happy!
  6. This is how I also view such a discussion - personal preferences. Though I have frequented the Rio Garoto de Programa saunas, I've also patronized saunas without - several times. I enjoy both because the experiences can be very different, one compared to the other.
  7. I can't speak to the issue for Colombia, specifically. But I studied Spanish in Mexico for 6 months, and later in my career working in Mexico for 6-years was an English- language teacher/consultant. As a student, I benefitted from intercambio's with local residents in the town where I studied, and during travels in Mexico following formal study. When living in Mexico City I was frequently approached by high school and college students who wanted conversational English, and I benefitted from the conversational Spanish. Oftentimes, I was stopped at coffee shops, walking down a street, etc. by students fulfilling school assignments. So, long way around of saying this: consider visiting locations near or at some of the private schools, including cafe's. You can start the conversation by asking, in English, if someone speaks English; many young people who do will want to practice. I think this is true in probably all of the Spanish-speaking countries. Slang, modismo's (as they call it in Mexico) is a huge hurdle for non-native speakers in any country. Spanish isn't spoken exactly the same in any one of the countries; vocabulary differs. English isn't spoken equally, either. In the USA we have regional vocabulary differences, too. For Mexicans I worked with, dealing with the USA-English slang was and continues to be a big hurdle; confusing. I was and am sometimes still confused by Mexican slang ... and how people in Veracruz may speak and sound differently than, say, persons living in Zacatecas. A new language isn't learned in 90-days, no matter what the TV commercials proclaim. Learning some vocabulary is very different than learning how to comprehend what others are saying to you ... especially when beginners are struggling with translating from one language into another. You know you've made substantial progress when you can hear, understand and respond in the moment. Intercambio's via Zoom, etc. can be beneficial. Best of luck.
  8. Considering the recent discussion(s) elsewhere on these forums ... sharing such information in a private message (if the individual is willing to do so) might better than posting in the open. 😀
  9. Thank you for the report. So .. that I understand the apartment rules issue: your guests encountered no difficulty entering and going to your apartment?
  10. When I first traveled to Brazil in 2008 or 2009, I'm recalling that the exchange rate was less than 2.00 to the USD. So, for some of us, valuation is relative to historical reference. There's been a lot of discussion regarding what "value", "benefit" we receive from patronizing garotos for price asked / price paid. The question doesn't arise just in Brazil, but in the DR, Thailand and elsewhere. I've traveled worldwide, extensively - including to Thailand, Mexico, Brazil, Western and Eastern Europe, etc., etc. I've lived in Canada and Mexico ... as well as my home country: the USA. I have limited times to travel, I'm a single guy ... and I want what I want, when I want. I started "offing" guys in my 30's, in Chicago. It wasn't because I didn't have great sex otherwise, but when I was in a bar known for hustlers to frequent and I saw a guy I wanted ... I bought. If you knew "Rounds" in Midtown NYC in the '70s/80s, that was a venue I found fertile grounds. For me ... Brazil offers the best value for my money spent ... in particular, for garotos working the saunas (even when considering oftentimes high airfares from the USA). US Dollar-equivalent of $30, 40, 50 is still bargain-basement pricing for services rendered. IMO. Finding equivalent quality - fitting my personal preferences - in the USA or elsewhere as I find in Rio de Janeiro - eludes me. I've enjoyed visits to Thailand, but I haven't found equivalent physical attractions as I have in Rio. The DR? I've only been there a couple of times and struck-out finding someone (other than a couple of no-charge guys at Cabarete). However, knowing that there are individuals in the SDQ such as Manny holds the prospect of a successful future trip. A procurer serves a useful purpose for many travelers. For some of us, travel times are abbreviated and time is of the essence, language can be a barrier, the destination is unfamiliar, etc., and whatever the "finder's fee" is can be well worth the cost. Hotel costs in Rio can be reasonable in comparison to other places I travel, and I almost always eat in a por kilo restaurant - at which I find good value. Yes, Thailand offers reasonable/ attractive accommodation / food costs, as does Mexico - it's also an expensive ride from the the East Coast USA. Most Thai guys I've met in the past would, today, no longer hold my interest - physically speaking. I enjoy many relationships when in Mexico - a favorite destination for me - for guys not looking for cash (I lived in Mexico City for 6 years). I'll be in Mexico City again at the end of this week. Ireland/England/France are higher priced for everything and it's been a long time since I've found satisfying sex opportunities there. The DR has been an easy pay for accommodation / restaurant / transportation services. Preferences, budgets, time available to travel ... vary by individual. There's really no right or wrong - each of us does what we think is best ... for us, not for someone else.
