NYC weatherman fired over nude photos from webcam site
Mavica replied to KYTOP's topic in The Beer Bar
I, too, eschew Facebook, twitter, tik tok, etc. Someone somewhere already knows too much about me ... without my providing additional personal information. 😀 -
Maybe I've overlooked it, but there is no link to survey results, methodology, details, etc. Lacking more information, it's an article/survey self-promotion and irrelevant. If I'm mistaken, someone please point it out. Providing a link to articles that are posted here instead of just copying/pasting texts will be appreciated. Thank you.

In the 1970s a favored travel destination of mine was San Juan, Puerto Rico. Wonderful memories, great sex. Awesome. It was a time of civil unrest in Puerto Rico and I'd stay at the Fiesta Americana Hotel where, on the beach, national guard or other military-style police patrolled on horseback holding automatic rifles as we lay on the beach; it was a bit daunting. It didn't stop me from enjoying myself, though. Cautious at times, yes. During one of my trips to Rio when I was relaxing on the beach in Ipanema ... I heard a roar growing in intensity. Young men from a Favela where running in the area attacking many people with baseball-type bats/clubs and stealing day packs, etc. A young man renting the chairs and doing beer and food runs for the section grabbed me from behind as I sat in my chair and dragged me back towards Ave. Vieira Souto. Many people were hurt on the beach that day, but not me; thankfully. Another time, when standing at a bus stop on Av. Nossa Sra. de Copacabana with a much older then me friend and a Brazilian man we didn't know - 4 young men showed up and beat the shit out of the Brazilian ... leaving us alone. The bus arrived as this was happening and when the attack was underway. The bus driver told me and my friend to sit in the seats behind him ... as the guys who beat the Brazilian also got on the bus and moved to the rear. During another visit, I intended to visit Santa Teresa via the tram when I learned that tourists waiting for the tram were being beaten/robbed. I chose to visit someplace else. So, yes ... there are risks. In Rio, in Mexico City ... in Chicago. Crimes of opportunity. But I do a risk assessment when traveling, and try to prepare myself for what I may encounter. All of this having been said, in addition to frequenting saunas in Rio ... I'm an explorer. I've walked/explored many neighborhoods there, solo, without valuables (just enough to 'give it up' if robbed). I've trusted my 'street smarts' and 'gut feeling'. I've traveled on foot, on the subway, on city busses, the ferry to and around Niteroi. I've visited one of the Favelas. Yes, I've been lucky - but also cautious. When I lived in Mexico City, I was the victim of street crimes a half dozen times. One of my apartments was broken into and robbed, twice. Full disclosure: I was never victimized in BKK. 😀

LOL! Sorry for not spelling out "GP". Garotos de Programa is what I was referring to. However, one might consider such talented individuals as General Practitioners ... though I prefer to consider each a specific practitioner of his talents!
-
Yes, in Rio as an example ... street crime is a concern for all - which doesn't seem to be an issue in BKK. Using today's exchange rate, 4,000 Bht = US$106. $106 strikes me as being higher than what it costs to collectively enter Club 117 in Rio (or another Rio sauna with GP), make a selection from many very goodlooking guys, pay for a room and have a drink or two. Which destination is "better" than the other (BKK vs. Rio) is, obviously, determined subjectively. Which is easier / less expensive to get to? Which offers more of the body/personality types of guys we find interesting? Etc. Let's keep in mind that most / many of us confine our visits to touristy sections of the destinations where everything costs more ... particularly if we are not conversant in the local language.

I'm a fan of AC. Would love to bed him. -
Overall, a good looking group of young men in the Navy-theme video. I see several I'd likely off, if possible. Thanks for posting.

Where do you all live & are you planning on living in Asia ?

Yes. It was considered at the time, the standard by which all gay baths were judged by. -

"Slurp Ramps", I think they're called. I'd visit Steamworks when I lived in Chicago. Cock, for days! Maybe 30 "holes' guys would stick cocks into. If you couldn't get blown, or blow ... there was something wrong with you. There are other slurp ramps in that baths, but the one where wanna-be recipients of blow jobs are on an elevated platform ... is unusual for gay baths, from my experience. Although no slurp ramps, when I speak of gay baths I'm always drawn to fond memories of Babylon Baths in Bangkok ... years ago. Visiting Babylon was a joyous experience! -

Similar to Steamworks Baths in Chicago. https://www.steamworksbaths.com/chicago-home -
I've studied many reports about the life of the "Orange Jesus" and I'm left with the impression he was/is a sissy ... made fun of by peers most of his life, particularly when he was in the various schools. But with that fat ass, who would want so fuck him? Ugh! I've no doubt he was made to suck some cocks, repulsive as the image might be.

It already is, an issue. In the USA there are employers who ask job applicants for the identity of social media websites they participate in and the screen names they use. The employers are looking for negative behavior. Then, there are employers who remotely monitor an employee's use of the internet, sites they visit, etc. during the workday. -
Thank you for the suggestion. From my place to the Orlando airport takes approx 2.5 hours assuming no accidents or other traffic delays. Add to the drive the need to get to the airport 2+ houes in advance ... and pay for a couple of weeks parking ... it becomes too much of a hassle for me. The greater ease of departing from Tampa is the more attractive option, even if it ultimately cost me a couple of hundred $ more, than leaving from Orlando. Again, thanks.

Yes.

So many choices. For me, from Tampa, Florida USA to BKK in November, assuming a visit of 2 weeks, airfare is approx. US$1,700 r/t with a travel time of 30 hours. Ouch! Tampa > Medellin? Approx. US$600/8 hours. Rio? US$1,200/13 hours. Santo Domingo: approx. US$600/6 hours. Prague? US$920/16 hours.

My "voracious" comment wasn't specifically directed toward you, personally. It was meant to reference the individuals on the various GG forums who refer to the many sexual encounters they have when they travel. One poster talks about sucking-off 60 guys in 60 days. Good for him. That's someone with a "voracious" sexual appetite and maybe spends more money collectively than I will, as I define the term ... and there many who post here who fall into my defined category. 😆 On a two or three week trip (which is the length of a typical trip I take, because I'm still working in the USA (and have other tethering responsibilities) which has notoriously short vacation periods in comparison to many other countries), I'm completely satisfied if I have a couple of guys a week to have sex with. I've previously posted that I haven't tricked in Istanbul. I'll be back there again in the future, for certain, and I'll work hard to acquire accommodation where I can host someone, or I'll find another venue for that purposes of sex. I've traveled most/much of the Silk Road, and my interest in Istanbul/Turkey, Central Asia and China is related historical events and locations. Istanbul, Bukara, Tashkent, Samarkand, Urumqi, Turfan, Lanzhou, Xi'an and Beijing: I've visited each. Maybe my experiences will turn-out to be the same as yours in Istanbul; maybe not. It's not unusual for one person to experience the environment differently than the next person traveling afterwards, or beforehand.

Anyone else checked the latest airline prices ?

When I lived in Chicago, airfare to BKK was less (and easier to get to) than it is were I to depart from where I Iive now (Central West Florida). For two weeks in November airfare will cost me approx. $1,700 with a trip time of about 30 hours. Travel time and airfare cost are a deterrent. My medical history and preference in guys has changed since my first visit to Thailand in the early 1990s, so though my interest in Thailand remains high my desire has lessened. Never say never: I would visit Thailand in the future but cultural reasons other than go-go or other "boys" will be the reason for the visit. Yes, the extracurricular activities will be a plus, but it will be easier for me to travel to the Dominican Republic and South America, and some European destinations for that. -
I've been reading your many comments. You say you are partnered with a man from Singapore, if I'm recalling correctly. Is yours an open relationship, or have you tricked with so many others over the years, without the knowledge/consent of you partner? Or do you and your partner engage in three ways or group sex? Thank you in advance for your response.

In Turkey, I only know Istanbul. I love that city, the culture ... the food ... and there are so many handsome men. Unfortunately, where I've stayed does not allow guests. I've been there during Ramadan when many guys stick close to family, particularly during evenings when they break the fast. If a primary purpose of a trip abroad is to have sex, Istanbul/Turkey would not be my choice. Not if I'm traveling from the USA. But, when I am there again and have accommodation where I can invite someone back ... paying 100 Euro to a guy who interests me would not upset me. I'd do it - because my appetite isn't as voracious as many others who post here!. I loved riding the trams and street cars ... and brushing up against so many handsome men whose smiles almost melted me in their presence. I've also spent some time in the Kurdish quarter of Istanbul ... and find the young men handsome. Very.

Angry, yes ... it clearly seems. Expressions of prejudice based on an individual's or group of individuals' nationality, maybe skin color ... maybe religious beliefs. Pattaya today isn't the same as was witnessed / experienced two and three decades ago. When I feel a destination is no longer to my liking, I simply move-on to someplace else. I try not to personally attack individuals whose travel / life preferences are different from mine. Let's remember that we have in this discussion one observer of a situation about which he was uncomfortable - reporting his concern - and several newspaper articles describing arrests. How many others of us participating in this discussion knows what truly transpired ... the "facts" of what has or has not happened. Is this a temporary concern, long-term? We have conflicting opinions / experiences. Time will tell.

The quote, above, is from one of the linked news articles. Chaos is not a description universally agreed to, but I haven't been present when the incidents occurred. However, the way to put a stop to this is to concentrate on the rental shops and shutting-down those who've rented the equipment in violation of regulations.

I live in the USA, and have traveled world-wide, extensively. If I were to relocate outside the USA I'd almost certainly move to Mexico where I've lived previously. I speak Spanish, which is a huge plus. Other than Mexico, I'd like to live in Ireland .. but a retiree visa requires 50,000 Euro annual income if I'm recalling correctly. I wouldn't live in Asia, or Thailand. Language is one reason. Living someplace is very different than visiting as a tourist. -
Doesn't this belong in the Thailand forum?
