Commonplace in Mexico, people die after drinking fake / adulterated liquor provided to wedding receptions and other celebrations. I suspect it's a worldwide problem, such as we're seeing in Thailand.

An enough blame to go around in the Democratic Party when so many people voted for a man whose ideas and lack of character and integrity, they despise ... instead of another, the other candidate.

He'd probably have been a better choice for the VA.

It's not rocket science. Thailand will figure it out, as other countries have. -

I'm okay with that. -
I have the Samsung Galaxy 24+ and have been disappointed with the camera and quality of photos. I still travel with my Nikon D5600 but increasingly take photos with my cell.

Colonia Roma Norte in Mexico City, complaints of gentrification. Several buildings spray painted with the words: Gringos Go Home! When visiting, I haven't stayed in that colonia for probably 15 years. Overrun with English-speaking remote workers and English-speaking tourists: no need to speak Spanish.

I'm recalling, correctly I think, the average US Social Security check is about US$1,900 monthly. -

An expat living as a poor Thai does in Thailand, is not an attractive alternative to me. -

Can Democrats Keep The Senate? Could Florida Be In Play?
Mavica replied to stevenkesslar's topic in Politics
Florida will not be in play, for either of the Presidential or U.S. Senate contests. Nobody really good will run for the U.S. Senate as a Democrat. -
Yes. 55 years ago .... that long ago ... I was involved with a civil rights organization / non-violent demonstration. Canadian law prohibits certain public demonstrations. I had landed immigrant status at the time, living in Canada. I was arrested, tried and ordered to leave in 48-hours. So, even after all of this time and at my age, my name is in the system and I'm checked to see if I'm entering Canada for reasons other than to visit family or tourism. I fully cooperate; no attitude from me. I've been questioned once or twice at a Canadian land border crossing while sitting in the car ... but not for more than a minute. No questions in other countries. I do have an Australian friend who has lived in Mexico for decades and many times when he enters the USA by air he's taken aside for questioning/search. He's had some friends incarcerated in Mexico for allegations/convictions of/for sex with under-aged boys (he hasn't done that himself, though).
