  1. Was there twice. I can recommend it. Breakfast is not inhouse though. They send you to another place nearby. At least that was the case wen I was there
  2. New episode about BKK history from Bangkok Pat (Sorry, I know the thread is about Pattatya): I miss the Pantip
  3. This is exactly why I prefer to travel alone. It forces me to interact with the locals and other travelers, find solutions for transportation and so on. I can f.ck around as much or as little as I want. But it can also be nice to have a traveling companion with whom you can share impressions and dinners (eating alone in a restaurant is sometimes a bit depressing for me) and with whom you can share room/car rentals (this was the case on the last trip to the southwestern US, for example). But then you need someone you can rely on and both need to be flexible so you can do things independently if both are in the mood to do so.
  4. I know the problem. I look forward to seeing all those boys months in advance and then when I finally get there I don't feel like it. I think you shouldn't put yourself under pressure, that alone destroys your desire. I'm like Vinapu, once I've been to a sauna or a massage the engine starts on its own (unfortunately I'm not the go-go type).
  5. Pictures?
  6. It seems, that I am not the only one having chicken cashew nuts as the favorite Thai dish 😍
  7. Very cool... because I will stay longer than 30 days next visit
  8. I thought this would be the most appropriate thread (Without warming up a two years old one) to place my question.... but I can start a new thread if you prefer 🤷‍♂
  9. Having the hotel 6 month's ahead isn't that important. But I want to fix the flight to BKK and train trip to Laos early because specially the train tickets are usually sold out fast (I want a 1st class sleeper). So why not book the hotel as well between arrival in BKK and departure towards Laos
  10. Regarding Hotel... I am planing my next trip in January 25. Along others I consider The Quarter Silom for some days. Which room can be recommended, the one with balcony or pool view? Thanks a lot!
  11. I know about that dogs because I also take the beach side avoiding the traffic lights on the other side (on the way from Jomtien Complex towards Sansuk for example). I never experienced an issue with those dogs. But it's good to know that it can be different. BTW, on that way you pass by Marcos, my favorite Italian Restaurant in that area... (on the non-beach side of the road)
  12. I see, Japan should definitely be on my bucket list 😎
  13. I know... it's just in my mind. We have a MB sauna here in Zurich and most of the boys are straight and usually perform well...
  14. Tnx. I know it's a bit stupid, but I feel more comfortable with a gay boy... even he is not into old farangs
  15. I wish they would also state Gay/Bi/straight... but that would probably spoil their business 😉
  16. At least Phetboy declares that clearly with "T", "T&B" or "B". Even the pictures are coded accordingly (Yellow=Top, Pink T&B and so on). Same with KK on their Twitter (X) site: https://x.com/okok1090/
  17. You can tattoo that smile too 😁
  18. I think it's complicated. Switzerland, for example, has a double taxation agreement with Thailand. However, this only covers income from savings (e.g. pension fund). Other income must be taxed again. It makes sense to clarify the situation carefully because there are high penalties if you try to fly under the radar in terms of tax.
  19. Or getting older...
  20. I'm not really a breakfast monster. I'm happy with a good (!) coffee and a fried egg and some fruits. If it suits me, I also like Thai food in the morning. When I'm in Jomtien I get all that (and much more) at my first choice hotel, Zing Resort & Spa. If I remember correctly, it's 200 baht (all you can eat). That's enough for me, I couldn't really enjoy an extensive breakfast a la Meridien. And there is still O Delices in Jomtien 😉
  21. Seems to be on high demand... at least when I looked today everything was fully booked in January/February 25
  22. Thank you for this pleasing update!
  23. There is a group about Sansuk on PlanetRomeo where someone posted that. I asked him and it seems that the original source was a review on Google. So not necessarily the most trustworthy source. Maybe I was in panic mode when I read that 😱
  24. It's sold... story from https://thaisiamonline.wixsite.com/sansuk/publicity Punya met his lover, Howard, in Bangkok. They eventually moved and spent ten years together in the USA. Howard, who had been a stock broker, taught Punya how to invest in the Thai stock market. Punya was a good student and after Howard passed away, Punya invested his profits in a four story building on Soi VC in Pattaya, which became the highly successful Howard’s Guest House and Bar. Many customers would inquire where there was a gay sauna in Pattaya. As there weren’t any, Punya’s entrepreneurial instincts kicked in and the rest, as they say, is history. The sauna opened about a year later and shortly after, the guest house opened its doors. When Punya sold Howard’s six years later, he used the proceeds to do extensive renovations to the sauna and build the new eight story addition to the guest house.
  25. I love it too, that's why I fear things can go down the drain.
