Why would you assume that? At least here in the USA, the older generation had company or government funded pensions, retirement health care and social security. The current generation no longer has company pensions, health care, they had to fund their own retirement savings (401k plans or IRAs) during their working loves and many failed to do so. Today's retirees may very well be far less well off than previous generations and it is likely to get worse as social security gets into deeper trouble. Can't speak for other countries tho.

And the British should apologize to India and South Africa, the Chinese should apologize to the Russians and Tibet and and and... How far do we go back? I'd rather see leaders learn from history than live in the past.

We all have our preferences. That should surprise no one. The bigger problem, in my opinion, is the intolerance of other people's preferences. Of course there are preferences that can be harmful and we need to be aware of that, but between consenting adults...you do you. Older guys are very much aware that there are younger guys who enjoy their company, wisdom and experience. Do some find it strange? Sure. Just like I find pineapple on a pizza strange. But I don't let it bother me.

That is fascinating. But my understanding is that it depends on apple devices to be close by to detect/transmit the tag's location via Bluetooth. So if the bag is left someplace where no Apple device is within 30 ft or so, it will go undetected. There are locations where Apple devices are just not that common. For example, on a recent trip to India I found that the vast majority of people use Samsung/Android devices as Apple devices are far too expensive for them to afford. In that case, an android based device like Tile trackers may work better.
