It is not the end of the world. Really. I feel for the younger generation. We (older) went through rough years with HIV/AIDS, various wars and nuclear disasters. Hurricanes and financial disasters. We are tough - we will put out heads down, keep working at it and strive for small gains. I am concerned that the younger generation does not have the stamina and tenacity to see opportunity in the challenge. Time will tell and maybe prove me wrong. I will be glad for it. 😁

I was watching MAGA supporters attempt to talk up support for former Pres Trump on CNBC this week. They are making the case that a Trump presidency will be better for the economy. Problem is, beyond "tax breaks for the rich" there is very little in terms of policies to talk about. So they fall down under scrutiny. Not a good look.

The grift continues. Read today in Newsweek that Trump is now requesting a military aircraft and additional secret service protection. I guess he figured out that with all the miles (hours?) he is putting on his own aircraft, the engines will need to be rebuilt by the time he loses the election. May as well let uncle Sam pick up the tab for his travel, right? Who is going to tell him that the military won't fly him to a non extradition country when he loses the election and faces jail time??

It is easy to criticize... you'd rather the USA stay home, let piracy run wild on the high seas (Somalia) and let the slaughter of innocent civilians continue (Syria and Israel)? We'd be happy to entertain other workable solutions.
