Hi all, I've been meaning to share my experience from my trip to Medellin back in August 2024 but didn't find the time to actually do it 😅. Finally managed to sit down and pen this out. It will be just a brief report on my experience. I was there for about 1 week during the Fiera de Flores, and stayed at Poblado. Weather It was technically winter when I was there but weather was perfect. There were a few short rain spells but otherwise, it was sunny mostly with a chilly temperature. Hotel I stayed at Haven, A Design Hotel smacked in the middle of Poblado. Their staff were all amazing but just a head's up, this hotel really is for those who like to party. Their rooftop pool/bar host events on the weekend and the music is so loud and lasts till early morning (around 4 am, I think), you won't get much sleep. Weekdays are a bit more bearable but the hotel is surrounded by bars, so still pretty noisy. But they do give you complementary ear plugs 😅. The hotel does have a clear additional visitor/guest policy. I noticed they're pretty open about it, so I'm guessing it is sort of a known thing that those who stay there tend to bring guests back to the room? Just my guess though. All said, I would still stay here in my next visit. Haha Language Not being able to speak Spanish can be quite the challenge. While you can always use a translator app, it is not convenient to meet with guys or even do the usual day-to-day things. Security I've read a lot of tips when it comes to safety prior to trip. When I was there, I did not have any issues with safety nor did I feel I was unsafe or insecure at any time. Perhaps it is the neighbourhood but ultimately, I do feel that if you take reasonable precautions, you'll be alright. Gay Bars I only went to 2 gay bars while I was there; Afrodisia and Bar Chiquita. They have quite a different vibe from each other, the former for classy-bougie ish while the latter is pretty much your normal bar/club type. I personally prefer Bar Chiquita and went there a couple of times. Boys There are plenty of guys on Grindr. Quite of them around Poblado are for pay but I didn't engage with any of them as there are plenty of keen guys not looking for payment. I've met a few guys on other apps too (Bumble, Tinder). I do have to highlight that there are plenty of hot guys around, both locals and expats 🤣. I can see why some prefer coming here frequently. Cam Models Prior to coming here, I've been in contact with a few cam models in anticipation of meeting them. However, I only ended up meeting one model. Sweet guy who doesn't speak English. But with that kind of rock solid body, not much talking is required 🤣. The main problem I have with most models is how they change their mind and increased their rates the moment I actually reached Medellin. (One of them wanted to charge USD 1k ! 😅) Given the available options on Grindr (and most being either free or charge a much more reasonable rate), I just didn't bother anymore. Funny thing though is that when I stopped entertaining some of them with their request, they started messaging again offering lower rates. Oh well 🤷 Anyway, that is basically my experience. I will definitely return again and hopefully go into a bit more of an adventure with the guys there.

I've been doing this in the past few trips that I've had and it works well for safety and budgeting 🤣🤣🤣. I would carry enough cash for a day's spending and my Wise card (or credit card, depending on what I plan to do).

I forgot to mention one other odd thing: the doorman cum manager took on the role of negotiating the tips for the guys (at least he did that to me). I told him I've been here many times even before he started working with the bar 😅. Has that happened to anyone else here? So far, I've only experienced this at The One, not at any of the other bars.

I was at The One last night, a few things I can share from my experience on a weekday night, low season: a. I went at about 10-10.15pm, I was the only customer there. Recognized a lot of familiar faces among the guys available. b. When I came in, only three guys went up stage to show off. Others just lounged around and occupied on their phones. I decided to leave for a while and came back around 11+, just as they were about to finish the big cock/cum show. Less than 5 other customers were there, with 2-3 guys sitting with them. c. Aside from the doorman cum manager trying to get me to off a guy/buy another drink/tip him, or the one other guy there I met during the time the bar was out of business for a while coming to say hi, the friendliness and hospitality that I've experienced at Tawan before seem to be missing as guys were mainly on their phones. d. I decided to off one of the guys who went on stage and was friendliest with me from our past interaction. 500 off fee, 3000 ST tip. Session was good with muscle worship, foreplay and some good fun. e. Physique-wise, the available guys consist of a few bodybuilders in relatively good form (especially off season), several muscle/toned hunks and 1-2 twinks I can spot lounging around.

Thought I'd share my experience at Lagoa here instead of starting a new thread. I was there past 2 nights, just to check the place out. They had a karaoke session last night, and a drag show the night before with hunky strippers before and after that. The bar area was crowded on both nights I was there (Sat and Sun nights) Personally, I'd say most (if not all) the GPs there are hot! GPs ranging from bodybuilders to muscle hunks to toned, next door type. Clients seem to be mostly middle aged/older gentlemen, with a few exceptions. I only had a session with one of the GPs there: tall, muscular (Russian looking?) guy. Quoted 200 with gozar, which is pretty low based on what I understand from the posts here. The session was alright, he was straight, so some stuff were off limits (which I don't mind) but he gave me a rub down, kissing, some foreplay and let me play with his body. We both came, and showered together. I don't speak Portugese, and he doesn't speak English but we somehow made decent attempt at a conversation before and after the session. All in all, the place is amazing, with lots of options, especially for those who are particularly into hunks and toned guys.

Hey guys. Just thought share a brief report on my recent trip. Bars I went to 2 bars during my weekend trip; Frolic & ChinChin. It was pretty packed on Friday night in both bars, celebrating the start of Pride month. On Friday night, I was at Frolic first, before going to ChinChin later that night. Frolic had 2 gogo boys dancing as opening for the drag show. The crowd was kind of a mixed bag in terms of age and local vs foreigner. People tend to stick to their own click at first, until the alcohol and whatever they were taking in from the balloons kicked in. Frolic also has an entrance fee for Saturday night (around 100k VND, I think), which does not include drinks. I only went to ChinChin on Friday night, and it was pretty late by then but the crowd was still pretty big. The vibe I get from ChinChin is that it's more for the "bougie" crowd. The bar's set up gives off a more upscale feel, and the guests actually dressed up decently. Again, people tend to stick with their own crowd, and there are more locals here with maybe the odd few foreigners. But the guys were, IMHO, hotter than the those in the Frolic crowd 😅. Sauna I only went to one sauna, Nadam. It was a Saturday evening (around 5pm) and there was pretty big crowd, with varying ages. Though, I seem to be the only non-oriental looking guest from what I can see. A lot of guys with great bodies there. The crowd tend to be more reserved, with a few guys giving a grope if they're interested, to see if you are too. There is a pretty well equipped gym, and the layout of the sauna provides for different areas (multiple lounging areas, saunas (including steam room, hot & cold jacuzzi) are on the ground floor, with the mazes on the first and secord floor. The entry fee was less than 100k VND if I'm not mistaken. Saunas are not really my thing but if you enjoy it and are into oriental asians, this would be a good place for you. Online MBs I received several offers on the apps (Grindr and HeeSay), ranging from 500k VND to 2 mil VND depending on what you want. There are surprisingly more gym fit MBs than the twinkier guys. My experience hiring one of the guys was, unfortunately, not that great. The guy looked masculine with a gym fit body in the pics, but in person he was more effeminate. When I showered, he went ahead and helped himself to the snacks and drinks I had in my room...without asking me. I didn't realise it until after he left. The service itself was rather mediocre, so all in all, it wasn't really a good experience. But I am eagre to come back and explore a bit more of the HCM scene. I met several amazing local guys over coffee and some of the expats I met at the bars. Looking forward to my next trip.
