  1. Cali update (Mar24): The curfew has been lifted in Cali (but not in the majority of municipalities in Valle de Cauca where the curfew is 1:00am - 5:00am). There are strict controls on the numbers of people in restaurants, bars and clubs. Many places remain closed. The main outlet for socializing is in the street around the popular club areas (Versalles, Alameda, Parque de Perros) but there is a heavy police presence.
  2. For the most part, Colombia is back to a "new normal" as noted below. Community transmission rates for Covid infections are again well below the August 2020 peak levels. Medellin removed the curfew in early February and there is no indication that it will return. You will find most bars and restaurants continue to follow capacity and social distancing guidelines. However, I did see that many of the big clubs (Industry, Chiquita, and other clubs in El Poblado) are still jamming them in based on Instagram posts. As a rule, mask wearing is mandatory and most locals insist on wearing masks in public and on the Metro (Centro is an exception -- you have been warned). Medellin has bounced back strongly this year with thousands of ex-pats and Covid travellers choosing to ride out the pandemic in the city of eternal spring. There is no shortage of foreigners and the businesses are happy to take their money. **note: there is a major uptick in "gringo pricing" in Medellin this year. Always confirm/bargain for the price or know that you are probably paying too much for taxis, haircuts, manicures, massages, pretty much every service you can think of.** Bogota (https://co.marca.com/claro/trending/2021/01/29/60144add268e3ea07a8b45a7.html) as I understand it is still under a curfew of 10:00pm - 4:00am each night and pico y cédula remains in place for shopping in person. Rappi delivery is functioning as normal to deliver meals, groceries, alcohol, pharmacy needs -- pretty much anything else that can be delivered. Bogota continues to struggle with outbreaks and locals are very cautious. Mask wearing is mandatory in all public settings. Cartagena is still struggling and the popular rooftops (Alquimico, El Mirador, Townhouse, etc) and big clubs (The Saint, City Club) are not at full capacity, even on the weekends. If you have ever wanted to explore the walled city and get to know its tiny streets, now is the only time I have seen so few tourists in Cartagena. The curfew remains in place from midnight to 5:00am M-Th and from 2:00am - 5:00am on weekends (Friday - Sunday). Cali and Valle de Cauca continue to struggle with Covid outbreaks and toque de queda and ley seca (no alcohol sales) is in place from midnight to 5:00 each night. This was until February 22nd but I could not find an updated notice on current enforcement. I am headed to Cali this weekend and will update from there.
  3. Ferchos is very much alive, now working from the Bliss Suites hotel in Centro, Medellin. WhatsApp +57 312 2717925 Contact them and they will send you the latest roster of talent. New boys will be added as they are hired.
  4. It's not great. However the curfew has been lifted as of February 2 for the city. Unclear how long this wil last. https://bogota.gov.co/mi-ciudad/gobierno/finaliza-el-toque-de-queda-nocturno-en-bogota-en-febrero-de-2021 Like many places, there appears to be no clear plan in place. I skipped on the capital this year because of the curfew and other restrictions. My instinct says that restrictions will slowly decrease once they confirm that the Brazil variation of COVID19 is not in the country. If it is -- then all bets are off. Stay safe.
  5. Riobard did you just out yourself as a fellow Canadian?
  6. Final thought...the name of this forum is mispelled. Would be great to see it fixed: Colombia: full list of hot spots It's a major sore spot with the locals, so much so that they sell T-shirts to the tourists noting the difference
  7. I am here in Medellin until Feb 18 before going to coast for some sunshine and down time (no work). I missed my paisas and my friend (a F4F model) sweetened the pot by inviting 3 of his webcam friends for a weekend in Guatape later this month. I will get to see the warehouse where they host the webcamers (including some Chaterbate) and the the dormitory this weekend. Surprised that there wasn't a ban on 100 contacts with cam models. I know for a fact that it is something that they monitor and has been confirmed by my cam friend. I have shared this before, but best to get a social media account (Twitter, Instagram, Snap, etc.) and DM to connect. The boys can get in a lot of trouble exchanging personal data. Also know that F4F sets up the Twitter accounts and they do monitor them on behalf of the models. I think you will find that Colombians are super friendly and most are happy to benefit from connections, experiences, and possibilities rather than making everything transactional. It was a big eye opener when I first spend time in Medellin. Not everyone is out to make bag here in any way that they can. Of course you will meet those people but keep your wits about you.
  8. IBack in Medellín for a few weeks because Canadá is really cold right now. I may update my last list of locations as there have been some changes. It is a diffent feeling here now after months of isolation and restrictions. Colombians have either gone rogue or have retreated to wait things out. Club de Tobi is gone -- a victim of the COVID19 pandemic. They could not make it work and chose not to break the quarantine rules. For those of us that remember the many masajistas that served there, it is a bitter sweet end.
  9. I know it stands for Bogotá Brewing Company, but I still laugh everytime I walk past one of these locations.
  10. The main attraction starts on Avenida 23 up by the Malecon. Local boys like to hang out and drink on the Malecon wall and socialize on weekends. If you are looking for a "date" the local talent can still be found outside at the Bim Bop ice cream bar. Depending on the night, there are some incredible options working the street. There is always hustler action as well in the Parque Central, across from the Hotel Parque Central. You may get lucky and meet one of the boxers that work out at the boxing gym down the street. The "gay" bars are further west on La Infanta -- just look for the young boys hanging out around the doors of the clubs like Las Vegas. They are looking for foreigners to pay their way in. For the more adventurousl, the best scene is the private parties, usually held in the old resort hotels in Miramar (like Melia, Copacabana, etc.) but you need to know when and where. Like most Latin countries, the party starts late and usually goes until sunrise so be ready for lots of dancing, salsa, and flirting. Local guides can be found online and can help direct you for $30-40 USD per day plus tip. Hope that helps you enjoy Havana!
  11. The Cuban monetary system is undergoing revision now (started January 1) that will remove the CUC system and move all Cubans and visitors to a single currency. If you have old CUCs around (which are illegal to remove from the country) they will be collectors items shortly. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-12-11/cuba-to-end-dual-currency-system-from-january-in-crisis-reform#:~:text=Cuba to End Dual Currency System in 2021 Amid Crisis Reform,-By&text=Cuba will end its decades,President Miguel Diaz-Canel said.&text=Diaz-Canel had announced the unification in October.
  12. Just returned home as the curfew and lockdown has increased over the holidays and was beginning to impact daily life. The curfew was increased during the holiday period from 7pm to 6am daily. This included turning off streetlights -- a very effective way to keep people inside (you do not want to walk the hills of Medellin in the dark). Travellers must register on the CoronApp smartphone app and expect a visit to ensure that you are following the visitation plan that you register. Unfortunately the covid19 infection rate of the city continues to increase and is now above the levels of the initial wave in August. So I do not know if the curfew is going to be lifted any time soon. I am booked to return at the end of January but that may change.
  13. Greetings from Medellín, Back in Colombia for a break and thought that I would update this forum. Like many places, Medellín has seen a serious rise in COVID19 cases in the past 45 days. However, it is not at the levels seen in many other countries. As a precaution, the major cities of Bogota, Baranquilla, Medellín, and Calí have all instituted various forms of curfews, forcing businesses to close up after 10pm from Sunday to Thursday. That makes for a quiet city at night which can be unnerving at times in a city known for partying in the wee hours 7 days a week. So many of the bars, videos, and saunas are officially closed. Some -- I wont name names here -- are quietly allowing fewer in, but they are open for a more select crowd. However, that does not stop the party loving Colombians. There are many underground parties happening and the boys of Medellin are happy to make a deal in these tough economic times. The Grindr ads are more active than ever and some of the faces advertising are very familiar if you have been on F4F or other sites - many of which have large dormitorys here. So while quieter this trip, I still get to enjoy some friendly Colombian company and good weather with better coffee. For now. Stay tuned.
  14. Thanks for posting. I leave for my winter home in Medellin in one week, but will be spending time in Cartagena over the holidays. Sorry that no one warned you about the dirty beaches. The only fair beach in Bocagrande is close to El Laguito by the Hilton Hotel. Everyone else will choose to take a boat ride out to the islands for a carribean white sand beach day. I usually have success in Cartagena but not in the tourist areas. El Torre del Reloj (Watchtower) is the worst spot ever -- to be avoided at all costs. The walled city tends to attract some pretty aggressive players and is not worth the hassle (from experience). Most of the local gay spots were closed up due to the pandemic, and many of them (I suspect) will not be reopening. Hollywood beach on a Sunday used to be a reliable spot to meet locals but even that scene has slowed, I would imagine. Cartagena was hit hard economically by the quarantine, so I can appreciate that there would be some aggressive hustling these days as the tourists slowly trickle back. It will be a while before Cartagena bounces back, but I am confident this jewel of the Carribean will return.
  15. Ahhh Dante Santos. Yes, he would certainly be worth pursuing. I can tell you the gym where he works out in Medellin, but I don't recall ever seeing him show up in any of the local escort listings Many of the boys on F4F consider themselves models only and will not consider "dates" with their internet clients. Keep in mind that their interactions with the audience are monitored -- they cannot make arrangements nor share telephone numbers in the chat. So if you are really interested in pursuing one of the boys, ask for either an Instagram or Twitter account. Then DM the model, explaining precisely what you are looking for and when. If the exchange is positive, then you should offer up a WhatsApp contact number to seal the deal. I have successfully done this with 3 F4F models who will remain anonymous, so it can be managed. Good luck with your quest.
  16. I am a big fan of Avianca in Colombia. The discount airlines can be problematic (won't bore you with the details) so be certain that Easyfly or Viva Air are the best option/schedule before booking. They are generally reliable, but from experience when things go wrong (weather, delays, etc.) then the service falls apart. Most Colombian business people swear by Avianca and their lounges are very popular and busy. Because most flights inter-city in Colombia are around the hour mark, it is generally not worth the extra money to fly business class. I find the economy service on most Aviance flights is superiour to many North American routes. The additional cost isn't worth it.
  17. Just a note to let everyone know that a new agreeement between Uber and the Colombian governement was reached in late February 2020. Uber is back and available across Colombia.
