Medellin--Ferchos Masajes
macdaddi replied to stlcards81's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
A quick search of the WhatsApp feed only showed voice messages for the weekly raffle and a weekend away at an estate (Finca) outside of Medellín in Copacabana (northern neighbourhood past Bello) since November. The posted greeting below provides the location of the hotel using the traditional street names. "We are now in service at Carrera 45 (El Palo) at #55-41 Hotel Bliss Suite on El Palo between Calle Peru (Calle 55) and Calle Bolivia (Calle 56)" Which would place you here Apologies about the naming convention. Calle 56 is known as both Calle Zea and Calle Bolivar depending which neighbourhood you are in. So in this case, the correct name would be Calle Bolivia since it is a direct connection from this location to Parque Bolivar. -
Agreed 100%. In the past I have made inquiries and the answer is either (A) absofreakinglutely no way or (B) sure for $200-$400 USD with a gift included. Most don't bother past that point (have not had someone that obsessed thus far). The boys risk their employment if caught as it is against the rules in the signed agreement with the employers (Chaterbate and Flirt4Free are sister corporations). For the long-term successful performers (like Dante Santos named above) it is not worth risking a lucrative career that he can do from home. Also, the vast majority of performers are straight and not interested in making cash on the side.

Medellin--Ferchos Masajes

@Latbear4blk has fantatic advice here. 1. Send them a WhatsApp message requesting a specific boy(s) with the date you intend to be present. Give them at least 48 hours notice if you are being particular -- some of the boys live a distance from the hotel. The boys available in the hotel are usually posted daily to the WhatsApp account. I will check that as I am not currently following. 2. Google Translate is a perfect solution (and I am certain they are familiar). Many of the staff speak passable English but have a backup plan like Google translate just in case. The older Manager that leaves the voice messages does not speak a word of English to my best knowledge. 3. The message (in Spanish) that is posted to the WhatsApp is a description of the location of the hotel. It can be confusing because he uses the names of the street and not the numbers (I believe that the hotel is between Calle Peru (55 Street)and Calle Zea (56 Street). I can translate the message for you later today, but there is nothing special in the message that I have not posted about here. Have fun! -
I assume that you are doing the the direct flight to Bogota via Air Canada (apologies if incorrect) which take about 6 hours. It is nice to arrive directly at your destination, but landing in the middle of the night stinks. By the time you clear customs and have your luggage (BOG has one of the strictest baggage screening in the world) it is about 5am local time. I prefer to grab a room at a nearby airport hotel and get a few hours sleep before venturing into the city. El Dorado airport is in the west extreme of the city. Check with your hotel when they will allow you to do the check-in, as they are not as flexible as we are used to in Canada or U.S.A. Plan your travel times accordingly. Fun fact--the word in Colombian spanish for Check-in is "check-in". If you are transferring between flghts through either Panama or Mexico City (both are major hubs) then you may want to purchase a lounge pass where you can go relax between flights. Both airports are large and offer plenty of things to do while waiting for the next leg of the journey. I have flown through Panama City many times to arrive directly in Medellin and the layover was long, but the time went rather quickly. Take some entertainment to pass the time (book, music, podcasts, magazines). Merry Christmas!

Maybe I can help set your mind to rest. Not that I can fix the coming wave of Omicron. Colombia has discovered cases (as of December 20) of Omicron. All three were tourists in the cities of Cartagena and Santa Marta on the coast. https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/colombia-detects-three-cases-omicron-government-says-2021-12-21/ Currently there are two cruise ships off the coast of Cartagena with active Omicron cases. They are negotiating how to manage the situation (Colombia doesn't want them to disembark) https://thecitypaperbogota.com/news/cartagena-bans-crew-and-passengers-on-cruise-with-covid-cases/28955 As a fellow Ontarian (who just returned from Colombia -- I like my white Christmas) I can tell you that the biggest hurdle will be to ensure that you have adequate insurance as most Canadian providers use a clause that gives them the right to deny coverage when the Canadian government issues a travel advisory/ban. This occurred for Colombia on December 15. Happy to share details for supplemental Covid medical and cancellation/disruption coverage if you want to exchange details. https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/colombia?wbdisable=true I still intend to return to Medellín(via Bogotá) in January, I just moved my ticket up by a week to accomodate some work happening at my place in the new year. Good luck with your decision.

@Latbear4blk Would be my pleasure. Will keep you posted. Scheduled to return in March but my schedule is always subject to change. -
This was just announced on the news (confirmed on Twitter) here. Colombia will require proof of full vaccination for all foreign travelers(18 and older) starting December 14th. Here is the notice it the local press, will look for a translated version to add later: https://www.portafolio.co/economia/gobierno/colombia-pedira-carne-de-vacunas-a-viajeros-internacionales-559368

You are correct. I landed this afternoon and CoronApp is no longer as of October 2021 -- it has been migrated to a full Corona virus services platform call MinSaludDigital for Colombians only. The Check-Mig app is the only requirement for foreign travellers now, both for arrival and internal flights. Available as a downloadable app or online at https://www.migracioncolombia.gov.co/check-mig -
You did comment once that you would probably enjoy Calle de los pecados (Cle 57a) which I would recommend checking out in daylight before you commit to returning in the evening. That area of La Candelaria around Parque Bolivar is a known area for open drug trafficking and use. Muggings and pickpockets are common around the Catedral Metropolitana and your abuelita would tell you to never set foot in that neighbourhood. Ironically it is a tourist draw because of a scene from Narcos Season 1 featuring Pablo on Netflix, which might be entertaining except the foreigners often do not know how seedy the area is in reality. Keep your wits about you when getting oriented to the scene. The Calle de los Pecados is just off the Parque Bolivar, one block east from the Olimpica supermarket. For a real authentic Medellin experience, I would cross Avenida Oriental (Carrera 46) and head over to Parque del periodista where you can purchase beer and sit and socialize with the local crowd. All types gather here and people watching is part of the fun. This is an open use drug zone, where police look the other way. A good place to make connections and sample local product, as well as find herb, which can be a challenge in Medellín. Have had many interesting evenings start from this historical location. If you carry some street smarts and respect for "la cultura" you will be fine. And when you are done, La Cantina de Javi is just a 5 minute walk to the north. where the locals will greet you with Paisa charm. ¡Bienvenido!

Hey @Latbear4blk always happy to share what little I know. I will be in Medellin briefly next week for Noche las velas (Dec 7) which is the unofficial kick-off to the holiday season and my favourite Colombian holiday. Flights are really cheap right now (check Avianca and CopaAir) and I was able to snag a deal from Bogota to the DR for another commitment. From all reports from my Medellin fam, things have mostly returned to normal functions (schools and offices open again) Will post an update on the local scene -- I know the big clubs (Oraculo, Purple, and Industry) are all back to normal crowds. The strippers and drag shows are packing them in every weekend. Have been trying to update the Colombian business listings in the Colombia forum and will include sauna/massage businesses updates when I return from that trip. Will be in Colombia from early January until March. May stay longer, depending on weather. Happy to orient you to the city if I am around, but something tells me you will be just fine on your own

Dark Club is Bogota’s definitive sex club for men. Here you will find a wide selection of men and body types, all enjoying a sex-positive environment (nudity or underwear mandatory) where you can explore and have fun with the partner(s) of your choice. The club is large has many of the standard features you would expect in a sex club (bathhouse). There is a bondage area with a cross and benches (with restraints) and slings. There is a maze area and a glory hole section with low lighting, as well as a darkroom for those that prefer anonymous sex. Beds, cages, private rooms and tunnels make up the remaining play areas – pretty much every area is open to sex action. The atmosphere is pretty much anything goes – on a busy night you will see sex groups break out everywhere int club. There is a lounge area by the bar for taking a break from the action. There is a stage area in the main room where shows often happen during theme nights. Depending on the night, there may be strippers and/or escorts available as entertainment. Many shows are interactive or feature sex acts. The performers are often willing to have sex on premises for cash. Locker room and clean up zone by the club entry. Keys to lockers included with entry fee. Cost + Hours The club includes two bar areas with a full selection of refreshments (alcohol and non-alcoholic). Dark Club is open Wednesday – Sunday from 3PM – 2AM. Call ahead to confirm event/requirements. Telephone +57 (1) 3456214 Cover charge varies depending on the night and event. Busiest night is Friday. Getting there The club is just west of Carrera 13 on Calle 64 (south side) at Clle 64 # 13–35, 2nd floor (Segundo piso) Entrance is next to the salsa club on the street level. Bogota’s all-male strip club for men (men-only) is located one floor above the Saint Moritz sauna. Enter from the the street (door on left-hand side of building) and take the stairs all the way up to the 3rd floor. Entry door the Gigolo Erotic House is to your right. You will be welcomed by the doorman who will orient you to the place. There is You can hang back at the rear wall or ask to be seated. Many of the best tables beside the stage will be reserved. If you are a party of three or more, advanced reservations are highly recommended. Drinks are reasonably priced and the waiters will ensure that your drink does not run out. A gratuity at the end of the evening will be appreciated. The shows go from dancing to erotic to fully nude with erection to thumping pop and reggaeton. Friday nights usually feature live sex shows (with penetration). The club is compact and the boys make the rounds, many offering up a hard dick for you to inspect for a tip 😊 The majority of the performers are available for private dances, which take place behind two curtained areas. Negotiate the price and what you want in advance so there are no surprises. Most dancers want 30K COP per song but you can negotiate. Pretty much anything goes, depending on the dancer. Many of the boys will offer additional services offsite. If they offer you a WhatsApp phone number they are letting you know that they are for hire. Dancers (current as of December 2021) https://gigolosbogota.com/gogos-bogota/ Currently the Gigolo Erotic House is only open on Friday and Saturday from 7:30pm – 1:00am. Occasionally open Sundays depending on local holidays. Getting there The club is situated just west of Carrera 13 on Calle 65 (north side) at Cle 65 #13-30. The Sillón Rojo club is Medellín’s most active and popular sex club. While relatively small, the current location is a popular spot with many different types of men and the management team is very welcoming to new guests. The club consists of two large rooms, connected by a small hallway. There is a change area just off the reception with lockers. Drinks (including alcohol), lube, condoms, poppers as well as clothing (jockstraps and harnesses) are available for sale at reception. Across the hallway, you will find an elevated bed, an anonymous sex room with gloyholes and a fucking platform (butt exposed through hole to outside wall with leg harness), and finally in the backroom is the main sex room with a sling and platform bed. While the light is dim, you can easily navigate through each space. The club hosts different themed events each day, so check their WhatsApp status to find out what event is happening. Recent events have included: Bears, beards, tattoos, interracial, Thick dicks, and the Traffic Light party (Semáforo) where customers receive a wrist band colour-coded with their sexual position (Top, Bttm, Vers). Many events include invited Escorts to ensure that sex is happening, and there are occasional massage attendants available (at a cost). Cost Entry depends on age and theme. You can expect to pay 20-25K if under 30 y.o. and 25-40K for over 30 y.o. A one-time free admission can be requested by sending an explicit photo to the WhatsApp account directly. Getting There Sillón Rojo is located on a major thoroughfare above Cerro Nutibara between Laureles and Belén neighbourhoods on Avenida 33. The club located at Ave 33 #65b-22 Medellín, Antioquía The club is above one of the many motorcycle shops along this busy street next to a pharmacy. Sudden is perhaps not the best choice of word here. Will keep this relatively concise. Following more than 20 years of internal strife (drug wars, paramilitaries, FARC) that made life in Colombia difficult, a peace agreement was reached (not yet ratified in 2021) that finally brought stability to much of the country. Since that time, tourism has grown significantly year-over-year until the pandemic. For an entire generation of Colombians, seeing foreign tourist is a novelty that they rarely saw during this period. Mass tourism as a business is relatively new, and Colombia sees tourists from all over the world. The NYT named it their top international travel destination in 2018. So this is not "sudden", I apologise, but rather a growing business that is still novel for the locals.

From my Colombian friends, thing are progressing back to a new normal. You will be expected to wear masks in almost all indoor situations (malls, hotels, government buildings, etc. Bars are restaurants are back to full capacity. There you will be expected to wear a mask when moving through the room, but can remove it once seated. A curious custom I saw last year was Colombians putting masks back on when the waiter or service person approached the table. The big megaclubs (Theatron, El Mozo, Ghetto Tank, et al.) are very relaxed with masking and you will see very few masks indoors. Clubs like Gigolo Erotic House, Recreo de Adan, or Perro y Candelaría are also very lax on masking once inside. Likewise, any outdoor space (cafe, restaurant, bar etc.) will not have a requirement for masking. Keep in mind that Bogotá is at a very high altitude. The days in January can run into the mid 20's C, but things cool off in the evening. Much like Canada, you will see many outdoor spaces with heaters to keep the punters warm. You will see big crowds around the city as things have largely returned to a routine. Colombians are fun-loving and very social as a society.. They are fascinated by the sudden global interest in their country, and I believe you will meet many cute locals that will be happy to introduce you to Colombian culture. I would also suggest you might want to consider other warmer options during your trip, like Cali, Medellin or Cartagena -- there is a big sale on intercity travel right now and I got my flight from Bogota to Medellin for just $20CAD on Avianca. It's an incredible country and I hope you enjoy an amazing birthday trip.

Transportation to Medellin from the MDE airport is very straight forward since the opening of the western tunnel in 2019. The tunnel goes through the mountains (two sections) and ends with a connection with Avenida Las Palmas in the upper western side of the city (almost directly above El Poblado barrio). When existing the airport, head to the taxi signs. There will be attendants directing you to the taxis and they will ask what neighbourhood in Medellin is your destination. The flat rate in 2021 is 80,000COP to any destination within the city of Medellin. Surcharges apply for outlying areas (Envigado, Bello, etc.). If you prefer the security of a named driver pickup, I am happy to share my preferred driver details. Two brothers that run a respectable car service that do pickups. DM me for details. A good resource for the city (and ex-pats that live there) is Medellin Guru. Here is an article on transportation from the airport and between local cities and towns (like Guatapé). https://medellinguru.com/get-to-medellin-from-the-airport/?__cf_chl_managed_tk__=pmd_ZRCgMDAg1xVFJi3gkSTHMqsVigOASJXhHPM12pXX5KA-1634591793-0-gqNtZGzNAxCjcnBszRO9

So just for note -- as gay men we know that often opposites attract. Hairy bodies are unusual in Colombia -- that becomes a fetish. Visit Dark Club in Bogota on a Friday and tell me I am wrong. I find there is also a strong "older man" fetish with many, but I would not state that as a "fact" within the country. Point being that you can find interested parties -- but there is not a community demanding your presence. There will always be a core group of young men that want to fuck other men that look exactly like themselves. Colombia is a progressive country that is still finding it's identify. This is why I am so dedicated to their success. But let's not draw assumptions based on small data samples, please.

No, there is not. It is specifically aimed at locals in specific Latin American countries. You may want to try using a browser (like Chrome) that will offer to "translate" the content.

Colombia: full list of hot spots
macdaddi replied to Tartegogo's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
For international travellers to Colombia, you need to activate the CoronApp on your phone when you present yourself at customs for entry to the country. This is a formality as well for all flights within the country, asking you a series of Covid-19 symptom-related questions. That survey generates a QR code to be shown at flight check-in and customs. Is gay nightlife back to normal? Sort of. There are many businesses and clubs that have re-opened, however you will find many smaller businesses have changed their format to reflect a post-pandemic reality. Vaccination rates in Colombia are still relatively low, which reflects the limited public health access many Colombians deal with. You will find that the major clubs (Theatron in Bogota, Gigolo Show Bar in Bogota, Industry in Medellin, City Club in Cartagena, etc.) have all resumed regular business hours. Most of the saunas and massage services are also back to normal as well.
