  1. I am binge watching Reacher on Prime. Lee Child is listed as executive producer. Reacher and his side chick are right out of the books. Nicely done. A lot of violence.
  2. I just finished binge watching S4 Part 1. One of the best shows on Netflix.
  3. Pulkinen is 1/2 Thai, and 1/2 French/Finish mix.
  4. Also loved Camden Pulkinen. A future champion? He's a looker. https://www.nbcsports.com/video/2022-us-figure-skating-championships-pulkinen-powers-fifth-free
  5. I loved Chen's skating costume today. He's in a class by himself.
  6. Men's free skate tomorrow 11am Pacific Time. Nathan Chen wowed the NBC crew. He's in 1st. Vincent Zhou skated to Vincent. So moving! He's in 2nd place. A 17 year old kid is in third. He was amazing.
  7. My feed just showed Nathan Chen. NBC did break for a replay of last nights women's winner. There are several asian stud muffins. So pretty. 💘
  8. US Men Championship on NBC today. Stunning performances and lot of beautiful men. Short program in progress. From Camden Pulkinen's Website.
  9. I just posted about The Last Picture Show. Sad to hear his passing. Such a good movie. Never you mind honey, never you mind.
  10. The Last Picture Show has been streaming on Showtime. I did a little research and found the film was released 50 years ago. So perhaps that is why it's streaming now, to remember the 50 year anniversary. I learned it is based on a novel of the same name by Larry McMurtry, who we may know from Brokeback Mountain fame. I was awestruck. For cinephiles I assume The Last Picture Show is considered a masterpiece, especially the cinematography and direction. The term bromance probably didn't exist back then, in 1951 rural Texas. To me the film embodies what a bromance might have been between two straight guys in those times, in the most subtle ways, ways that are lost on modern Hollywood. The story involves more than just those two of course. The cast was amazing. Truly a one-of-a-kind film.
  11. I admit not subscribing to the NYTimes. (Washington Post, yes) and since I don't subscribe, not sure what NYT means by "greatest book" These books I recall as being impactful to me The Color Purple At Swim, Two Boys The King Must Die A Boys Own Story Narcissus and Goldman Watership Down Giovanni's Room
  12. Died: December 28, 2021 Born: December 2, 1939 I'm hearing so many accolades about Reid I was not aware of, and that he was also a street fighter and quite brusque at times. He was Mormon. He is credited with Obama running for President and ensuring the ACA passed. He was a strong LGBTQ ally. Years after calling President Bush a loser, he admitted regretting saying that, that Bush was a patriot, that Reid missed him, how he was the Babe Ruth of presidents compared to Trump, who wouldn't even make the team. R.I.P.
  13. Thank God for Val Demings wanting idiot Gym Jordan to STFU. John Boehner: said about Jim Jordan "I just never saw a guy who spent more time tearing things apart – never building anything, never putting anything together.”
  14. Born October 4, 1941 New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S. Died December 11, 2021 Rancho Mirage, California, U.S. Anne Rice's son announced her passing on Twitter, complications from a stroke. I remember as a Gayby, how excited I was to read Interview with the Vampire. and The Vampire Lestat.
  15. Fair Haven was released 5 years ago. A good, gay flick. Now streaming on YouTube.
  16. An interesting comment Buttigieg made about the film "why wasn't there more policy?" The Tin Man comment came from his own campaign people. Is that kind of a brutal thing to say, the Tin Man having no heart?
  17. Watched Jimmy O. Yang on Prime last night, his stand up show Good Deal. Funny. Vanity Fair has a recent piece on him. "It's Time to Fall in Love With Jimmy O. Yang".
  18. I am scheduled for my Moderna booster today. I still wear a mask at work and in public. Will the new variants coupled with holiday events cause infections to rise? It's worrisome.
  19. 40,000 books that the "publisher" claims have been written about the assasination amounts to approximately 700 per year. Whole lotta books.
  20. We know how gay men can't resist spoiling, whether a movie ending or assassination plot.
  21. Outside the courthouse here in LA was quite a scene. These folks must really take it to heart, Britney's plight. The ones interviewed on the news really seemed a bit off the wall though, on par with QAnon adherents.
  22. The film has been reposted. Check it out while you can.
  23. Sorry, the video has been protected. Here is a trailer if curious.
  24. Harold and Kumar movies have been a secret vice of mine. Kal Penn and John Cho were a perfect duo. (I luv John Cho. 💖) I was delighted to read that Kal Penn has come out.
