St Moritz has announced an upcoming branch in Medellín. No details yet. Makes sense, I suppose, as Medellín does not seem to possess a venue of equivalent format.

Blue Space and Thermas Boa Vista recently seemed more like regular baths for locals to socialize among themselves, though receptionists made it clear it was gay and escort-frequented so as to ensure no surprises. TBV access from Boa Viagem was reminiscent of the longer-haul Über situation getting to Fox from Salvador west coast strip. A smattering of garotos de programa at both Recife venues but I generally was not feeling it. A very decent looking bodybuilder provider at TBV blew and edged me … all it takes is one as they say, and one visit each is non-representative … but these places probably comparatively lacklustre in longer runs. I’d been scanning ad sites as well for a long time; none had grabbed my attention. The more worthwhile sightseeing activity is Olinda but it was easily done in 4 hours thru a heatwave morning, including lunch, from arrival at the starting point I chose to packing it in to get back to the A/C in Boa Viagem. Nice enough, and I’ll later post about it in more detail, but hardly worth a side trip of the flight distance involved unless you have extended time in Brazil and wish to expand your range of travel options.

A miss, though a weekend. In a few minutes I’ll edit/add my flight and apt costs. I had maintained my Rio apt for convenience and had a longer stay discount on it anyway. Outdoors not for faint of heart past few weeks, mercury consistently veering to 30C by morning traffic rush; “feels like 35” kind of thing. Hottest in 8-year memory. I’ve been doing my beach boardwalk brisk steps at dawn in Rio or in Recife approaching sunset when the condo towers shade the Boa Viagem strip. Been doing gym resistance training on per diem $6USD basis rather than weeklies because I stagger those routines and have been moving around somewhat. Bottom line, just search academia, in whatever location and swing by one or more as they are ubiquitous. It is unlikely you would be staying within easy access to my neighbourhood. Some gyms are more flexible than others wrt time period contracts. I once requested a one-month membership and the facility tried to charge me for a year. I had mentioned that I would probably return within a one-year period block but naturally only wanted short-term contracts. The manager was fluently bilingual but my sense was he thought that there was a chance that I would not object when I saw the receipt after payment. I had foolishly entered my senha and then endured the rigamarole of a card credit. He was wrong, unless my hot trainer were to throw in a programa or two. Incidentally, the facility was small, crowded, off prime drag in a far from tony zone and evidently not hurting.

You are probably a high additional multiple factor likely to expire as the result of an Über traffic crash getting into town. Accidents, of course, can be senseless. However, what happened gives pause for its attitudinal backdrop, so not to diminish its tragedy (or over-interpret a horrible event) but your worry is relatively unfounded if following the level-headed guidance as expressed here over and over.

Unless I’m reading too much into it, an odious sexual orientation-related hate crime snuffed out a harmless 37-year old sweetheart’s life on his hard-earned well-deserved day off from diligent responsible conscientious service industry employment … in a social gathering context embracing LGBTQ+ diversity. Breaks your heart. Stop the clocks. Recent research reports suggest on average one such homicide per day in Brazil.

As you rise around this time, it’s Groundhog Day. Hope your expectations are finally met, and then again and again and again. I’m hoping for muscle worship later this year. I need them to be a bit more interactive than a blow-up or Raggedy Andy doll, and facial handsomeness is a bonus, but I could care less whether or not they are subjectively ‘into me’, be it genuinely or performative.
