But remember it is essential to approach all this commercially and to impose an upper limit price point on gratuities such as meals. There is a very precarious economic system at play and you do not want to be “that guy”, the one who is responsible for the BOVESPA crashing. I seem to be paying less and less over the years for the same thing. The rate oracles are well-intentioned but not alleviating my concerns about these inauspicious trends. Can it last? Will providers catch on that our home advantage deep pockets are accompanied by home advantage strengthening currencies? Is it so easy to be either a cheap arsehole or a generous arsehole? Now I am going to fret for days whether or how to stay exactly on the correct neutral line between these 2 opposing labels.

Mileroticos/Colombia caution alert
Riobard replied to Riobard's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I had edited in a few paragraphs but they disappeared, so here is an attempt at an addendum: I had been flirting and making tentative plans with several prior to really catching on. When I suggested I was confused and I made my observations known “perhaps there is a reason such as local privacy, etc”, want to give some benefit of doubt as they may want local gawkers off their scent etc, stated we would meet first for coffee but I would compensate them for intro time, or that I would require a current 3-finger selfie or something similar, not surprisingly I was ghosted. One fellow sent me the requested selfie and the other guy I mentioned above is enthusiastic about lunch. He is a Theatron “gogo”. I should clarify the advance cash requested by 2 of the guys was in private communication, not stated in their ad. -
I took a few weeks to research a longlist of 15 Bogotá ads, really appealing pics, entered their #s Whatsapp, then reverse searched each number in Google. This procedure brought up several current and dated ads, but the kicker is when opening Google-sourced ads pulled up under that phone number it was often different guy different pics, or an ad with a different number listed even though Google had searched a number I entered. No spreadsheet can do justice to this display of musical ads, musical guys, musical pics, musical contact info ... I assume musical fakes, flakes and scams, while you waste your time and energy playing musical chairs cuz your bum hurts spending so much screen time in one position. Two guys asked for cash advance, another red flag. I think that maybe 3 (20%) are authentic. Buyer beware, vet thoroughly and carefully, and meet in public first. One authentic guy with whom I have have had extensive contact, ID sharing etc, admitted himself to have 2 cellular numbers.

DM, used appropriately for personal communique in lieu of PBS, replaces Dumb Motherf ... or not. But, everyone, please keep us informed of your hookup plans, or don't. @mvan1, have you considered running by your contribution posts to the self-appointed editorial board for pre-approval? LOL (deliberate non-DM)

Who are these garoto hunters, the Sampa equivalent of Elmer Fudd and Dick Cheney? Judging by my Lagoa visits their aim is bad.

Still, it's the United Nations worth Bettin'on, without the sweaters. I only take the top VIP suite by reception for the good lighting, and often can squeeze in two sessions. The "dungeon" suite sucks, I found the smaller paid room lighting OK, and the free cubicles' darkness helps obscure the day's cum splatters and various pathogens' visibility. The jizz-cootie is no-go. I see no reason to the repeat the old bathouse tradition of cruising the halls unless I want to semi-clandestinely park by a door where I know a hot stud is going to gag a hungry throat and loudly slap his groin against willing buttocks. Otherwise, its the glare-lit reception to check out herpetic and other flaws, or the bar which is OK. Locker room also has pleasant illumination. I dislike where there is poor lighting. I suspect the 'something for everyone' in that regard is not by design. -

@pauleiro, GEH and StM in Bogotá have updated info. The best place to keep tabs on them for changing social media info etc is www.guiagaycolombia.com ... I don't have time to summarize. They now display images, pretty much the same guys for both parts of the venue, uninspiring in general. I hope there are other gogos who are not depicted visually but better. Probably more likely Fri/Sat. The GEH guys are presented as true escorts now. The bisexual Thurs never really got off the ground. I think Theatron draws the better looking. One gogo there had an ad but I have not verified it. He is the one so far I rate 9/10 .... others are 7.5 at most. Of course, based on my tastes. Mileroticos is finally displaying a larger number of really decent lookers, though some are photoshopped. Improved looks over GEH/StM. Also a few Grindr ads I may check out. -
These seem to be good local transport directions to the beach. I cannot get the link to paste.

The Encontru's reviews are all very recent dates, none more than 4 weeks. That its existence coincides with a greater number of Rio venues of late is, perhaps, inauspicious.
-
There are now two places with similar names in two different municipalities on the east side of Guanabara Bay. I thought that was clear by now. One is "meeting point" (SG, in its bairro Zé Garoto!! LOL) and the other translates as "found" (Niteroi). For the latter, in lieu of ground transport you can google "Rio Niterói barca horario" for ferry sched, Visitors, make sure you sort it out ahead of time, patricularly if you are in the habit of entering a venue name rather than address details in your Über app. By car from Rio, Encontru's is quite a long circuitous route north, across bridge, then a short jaunt south in Niteroi.
-
It appears that Encontru's is new, sleek and modern, and has changed up some procedures. Cheaper pro massage, programas arranged at bar not reception, cheaper entrance with your own towel/sandals, hopes to go 24/7 and onsite or annex love motel. This would work out well if you wish to spend overnight or a few days or miss the last ferry back across the bay. Is a busy populated area with upscale shopping centres, etc. Question is, will it draw visitors away from Rio who get locked in to Zona Sul thinking and preference, or will Rio continue to draw off the Niteroi talent that might otherwise patronize a Niteroi establishment, or will Niteroi lads favour the anonymity Rio-side?
-
In contrast, Encontru's is in Niteroi, and walkable (1 km) from the ferry terminal. Also worth exploring and much cheaper admission than in Rio.

Ponto de Encontro Sundays in São Gonçalo, right Tom? Somebody inquired about it here a while back. Looks like a dive but you have apparently anointed it! Perhaps @ihpguycould also provide an update.

Airbnb rentals in Beazil

I may have mislead you. There seems to be little in the way of profile info fields. Here is mine, and I use Paypal for payment. If you are booking ahead, good idea to ensure your credit card does not renew prior to the trip. If it does, re-enter the update. -

Buck, are you sure it is not CVV (3 digit credit card code) they are asking? -

CPF is gov't ID in Brazil. Weird. Check your account settings to make sure you have entered your personal profile info correctly, including your zip code. It is not uncommon when buying tickets online for Brazil to be asked for CPF, but for Airbnb it should simply patch thru to your payment info in your account settings. So also check that your credit card info is correct and that you have entered your zip code if allowed even if optional. If you are new you may end up calling HQ. You may also face the nightmare of profile ID verification requests coming up, even in Brazil if you need to make changes when there. Try to sort these out ahead of tine at the highest verification level. Use a profile photo that is the same or very close to whatever gov't issued ID you may need to scan. They use recognition software. I believe that higher level of ID may be spontaneously requested by a host. Get it done ahead of tme. Good luck. Call Airbnb, don't waste your time here. -
