  1. The Jade Bak Choi. Do you actually know which one in the picture is Jade Bak Choi?
  2. After you. Thanks for confirming you brought up San Francisco first, then accused me.
  3. Do you know this art piece is actually broken and repaired? Please call and ask your Taiwanese friend to confirm.
  4. Please read the previous posts. You brought up San Francisco first.
  5. @hojacat confirmed many things about Taipei night life, both good and bad. And, he did point out he is a rice queen. BTW, so far, nobody has disputed the fact that the majority of gays in Taiwan are bottom.
  6. Wether something is overpriced is highly subjective. It depends on how much money you have, how much you like Thai boys, and how horny you are.
  7. Thanks for clarifying. So you are comparing Taipei with your home(or old home) San Francisco. San Francisco has not been a gay destination for a long time(not sure if it ever was). But, you do you.
  8. Dear blah blah blah, thanks for confirming it is small. I can gladly remove the word "tiny" if it makes you happy, so now you have it. It is small, samall, small. Again I did not mention sex tourism, but you brought it up and say "it's sad", you can now spin any way you want. But your intent is quite clear. Not sure why you keep going about San Francisco. At first I was under the impression that you are(or were) a local in San Francisco, but you later said you visited San Francisco, so you were not a local there. Why keep beating around and comparing Taipei with San Francisco? Why not comparing Taipei with Bangkok or another city?
  9. Thanks for your long explanation and letting us know you have been to Taiwan 7-8 times in the past 48 years. I will just make a few points here: Many people on this forum are mainly interesed in sex tourism. Sex tourism is not sad and I am proud to be a sex tourist and look for paid sex opportunities anywhere in the world. Also thank you for your confirmation that the aforementioned "clubs" in Taipei are tiny small with bad sound systems. These are just material facts. I agree that it is a matter of subjective opinion wether these "clubs" are fun or not. As I stated in my previous post, I was merely contributing my opinions to this board. Finally, you should know, there are plenty of vibrant gay bars, clubs, restaurants, sex clubs in San Francisco, however, for older gays, these clubs and crowds as well as many gay clubs in the western world may not be as welcoming as the clubs in Asia. How often do you go out in San Francisco now?
  10. Please do share your info and experiences there if you have any.
  11. I repeat, the bars in Taipei are unbelievably small, most of them are in basement unusable for any other commercial purpose. Comander D is in basement, D1 is in basement, Hunt is less than half the size of a 7-11 store. These are all drinking bar with bad sound system and bad music, they don't want people to dance, they don't want people to enjoy the music, they just want people to buy drinks. G* is mostly for the girly bottom boys. Again, with the population count and the average personal income level there, I can't believe this is all Taiwan has to offer. It must be a cultural thing, in the same category as Singapore. But I am glad you are treated well being a rare and desirable "top" guy there. I have visited Taiwan a couple times and I gave you my opinion here being a contributing member on this board, that's all. BTW, Bogota has the famous Teatron club complex of bars and shops, Teatro itself is a huge former theater with multiple dance rooms. Berlin has many dance clubs that are huge warehouse size and are packed with people.
  12. Do tell. You mentioned a club (Candy?) in another thread, and I replied to that post with a YouTube link to show exactly how bad it is.
  13. Not sure how/why you made such comparisons, but I posted my opinion. That's all.
  14. I am afraid that nightlife is quite lacking in Taiwan, and is quite comparable to Singapore where everybody works hard during the day and just go home and sleep in the evenings. Those few drinking bars in "red-brick" "rainbow" commercial area are tiny, pathetic serving a city population of more than 6 millions people (Taipei +New Taipei city). Yes, it's safe,.... but sad. Oh, did I mention you need to be a top because 90% of the gays in Taiwan are bottoms and eager to be fucked by whoever and whatever. Perhaps this is exactly why you love it there.
  15. Personally I prefer Thai than Vietnamese, Filipino, Chinese, Singaporeans, Taiwanese, HongKonger, or Indians. I don't know much about Japanese or Koreans, so I can't comment on these two.
  16. Correction: your mouth from his ***
  17. On "fast track", if you are referring to the "e-gate" entry, you need to register your passport with an immigration officer first(at any regular immigration line), have your face metric and finger prints taken, you do this once. After this, you can proceed to use the "e-gate" on all your future visits. This e-gate entry is only open to several nationalities (6? Germany, U.S., S. Korea, Singapore, Australia, Italy...etc). Again, I still prefer a stamp in my passport. With "e-gate entry", you don't get any stamps.
  18. For immigration, personally I still prefer having the stamp in my passport, just in case I have to prove my entry/depart to some authorities later. As far as boarding the plane, the bio metrics system is more beneficial to the airline because it shorten the boarding time, and allow shorter turn around time for airplanes. It doesn't make much difference to me because I am usually among the first or second group to board the plane with business class tickets or elite status with airline alliances.
  19. But you might still need to use Windex to clean your eye glasses, so you don't trip over yourself. Or just use your walker for better balance support.
  20. No worry, you don't need the mirror. You will not be kidnapped.
