I can’t believe I forgot to mention this !
Latbear4blk replied to Tomcal's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Very South American. It could happen in Rio, in Buenos Aires, In Bogota, anywhere. You are actually lucky if this is the first time you witness this kind of scene. -
Love and peace, my friends. I love and appreciate both of you, @AdamSmith and @Larstrup, I am glad I have both of you here, so I d not mss you over there.
-
I am sorry you made that decision. I will miss you over there. I like BoyToy but things here are so slooooooooooowwww.

I m a political animal but I am with you. I come here to talk about hooking up, not about politics. You are an Olympian, I am Dangling Member, you tell me why people do not participate even when talking about guys? One interesting think I did noticed, there is a lot of traffic from outside the USA, although they do not post. When I started participating here last week, I posted a few links to my blog. Two links were for DC guys, one link for a guy in Buenos Aires. I am getting a lot of hits from here to the post in my blog about the boy in Buenos Aires, not as many for the two guys in DC.

I would not say they become useless. We know that in the other website there are much more restrictions than here, but it is actually up to the reviewer to find a way to be informative without breaking the rules. I do not think my reviews are completely useless, although I am happy to have my own blog to complement them.
-
What about you, and I, and the very @AdamSmith? If you accept that your psychological health is suffering and that your participation in this forum is just another symptom of your imbalance, I am fine with the statement and I also get in the shoes of the crazies.
-
As an additional comment about the form, I think part of the problem is that the same form used to submit a review by a client is used for a provider to submit his profile.
-
If you are into blogging you probably know this, but spammers hide behind complimenting comments, in the hope they are going to bait you to publish them. I just got this one in my blog: "My husband and i felt now contented that Albert could conclude his investigation through your precious recommendations he acquired when using the weblog. It’s not at all simplistic to just find yourself making a gift of tips and hints the others could have been selling. So we realize we have got the website owner to be grateful to for this. The entire explanations you’ve made, the easy site navigation, the relationships you will help to engender – it’s got mostly impressive, and it is assisting our son and the family imagine that this theme is brilliant, which is certainly truly fundamental. Thank you for the whole lot!"

They responded to my questions: "Hello, Jose! Thank you for your interest. Nice blog btw. We are currently gathering rentboys, so our support for renters and other new features will start working in a few months. Our team is one former Rentboy.com co-creator, one former Rentmen.com co-creator, one former escort, and one upscale gentleman investor who is a freequent user of rentboy service all over the world. The company is located in an offshore. Unfortunately we are unable to disclose the information about our real base or our real names for security reasons. We all know what happeneds if a company like ours is too open for everybody. You are not the only one who may have an idea to put our personal info on a public forum:) Some former colleagues and some athouthorities are already against us. It was more than expected. For example we can not appear on the forum you like so much because the forum is sponsored by our competitors. Everyone who will openly 100% support us will have his post deleted. However despite this we are going to make http://renboy.pro the best and the most exciting escort site ever. Hope to see you again (and again!) on our site as a renter in the future! Best regards, Rentboy.pro" I responded asking for clarification about "we can not appear on the forum you like so much because the forum is sponsored by our competitors". I have no idea what forum they are talking about. Up to my knowledge Daddy's is not sponsored by Rentmen, or this site, the only two forums I participate in.

I like the idea more and more. I think the major issue this website is facing (I apologize if I am wrong @TotallyOz, I am a newbie here and do not have much data) is low traffic. Daddy's website is well established and drives much more traffic and participation. I do not think providing the same service (vetted reviews, even if improved) will help with increasing the activity here. The ability to freely publish any reviews (I guess you will need some kind of vetting anyway, to avoid anything illegal), and then debate (should I say pussy fight?) them may actually be a very attractive feature.
-
I do not know whether or not Daddy vets the reviews. I do know that at least he gives the escorts that get a negative feedback the chance to respond. If you check last week reviews you can see an example with Mr. Derek Atlas. That implies some degree of vetting. But perhaps you and @AdamSmith are right about how the times have changed. I think the value of Daddy's site is not given by the reviews or by the forums, but by the combination of both. Whether or not he vets the reviews, the actual vetting becomes a collaborative work through the threads in the forum, and through Private Messages. Those are actually my best resources when I am vetting a candidate to hire. Perhaps you are correct and it is a good idea to keep a thread or a page where we can freely post our reviews, and then discuss them in the forums.
-
I do not think we are debating you, Tassojunior. Whether or not you found a bogus ad (as there are in RM), the irruption of an aggressive and fearless competitor is big news. If it is real.
-
This could be very good news for the market. They are also located in Amsterdam. I heard that there have been some changes going on in Rentmen's management. I wonder if a former employee or associate has gone amok.
-
They have a form to submit questions in their FAQ page. I submitted two: where are you located? and Do you have any ties to the old rent boy.com website? Let's see if I get any response. Right now there are a few ads only for DC and NYC. One of the guys advertising in DC is a member in the other site. I tried to reach out to him to see if he did publish the ad or the ad was poached from rentmen. No answer so far. Their whole business strategy seems to be going against Rentmen. Read their FAQ for both, clients and providers.

http://rentboy.pro I just learned about this. It could be a huge disruption in the industry. For good.
-
I think the vetting is important. Of course there is no perfect vetting and the bull shit can always go through the best filter, but vetted reviews are still more reliable than an open forum where anyone can post anything. Rather than going that way, I would simplify the form to submit reviews here. I tried it yesterday and it is just as bad as applying for citizenship. Too many questions.

Legal Weed May Be a Windfall for McDonald’s and Taco Bell

No, if you know what to buy. The buffet food is not pricey and it is very satisfying for the munchies. -

I am fancier. I go to Whole Foods. -
I tell you a secret: supervisor Karellen was created by a human, and humans have a tendency to over estimate their own importance and potential.

Did you not watch the episode with the Mormons?
-
Is anyone watching the show? I am addicted. The scripts are so well written, the performers are outstanding, the plots are challenging. It reminds me some experiments from Argentinean TV back in the 80s, creativity exploding after the fall of the military tyranny. I am amazed that HBO is investing in such a product, so far above the average TV audience. A few weeks ago the episode was a full choreography of dance/theater, or whatever you call it in America. It is a hybrid genre between dancing and acting, it was a huge trend in Buenos Aires in the 80s and 90s, under the influence and inspiration of monsters like Pina Bausch. I am seating to watch an episode and the two actresses without any easy introduction or explanation, just slowly transition from conventional acting to an intense dramatic dancing scene. Beautiful, uncomfortable, confusing, the episode took me through places I do not think a regular TV viewer can enjoy. Am I the only one?

He opened the gate for mixing sports and politics. Can he win this one?

I watched the first season and liked it. I have to go back and check what else is available now.
