I am communicating with them pretty well through Twitter. I have became almost a buddy with Osiris Blade, I am in fluid contact with Diego Sanchez and Ali, and I am trying to set up an interview (and second appointment) with Jacen Zhu. And, almost forgot, I am in contact with Louis Ricaute, almost sure I will meet him in my next trip to Buenos Aires. I love Twitter. My experience with Instagram is more recent but promising. However, I just do not understand their guidelines, they are taking down my pictures all the times, and I have to opened a new account after they shot down my first one.

Really? Facebook? I let FB a few months ago because it is too clean. You should try Twitter.

I think you keep missing the point. You seem to have decided this website is not successful anymore. Of course the definition of success is relative, and we have to wonder how success looks like for this kind of website. The target audience is pretty small, we are not into a mainstream trend here. The admins are informing us that there are over 800 visitors daily. I think it is a pretty good number for our niche of the market. I am new here and do not know you. Maybe you have a different nickname in the other site? As I do not know you, I cannot say this with confidence, but I have the impression you are somewhat unsatisfied with this service. I think I read at least a couple of comments from other veterans pointing to the high quality of your past participation in here. Maybe it would be good for the website health to articulate what changed, why you were an active and positive contributor then and why now you are not happy here anymore.

I do not think the success of the website is being questioned, but the participation in these forums. The traffic seems to be good, there are guys reading and checking the site. They are just silent. The question is how to motivate them to contribute to the community knowledge.

Is that your take in that read? Not mine. FW is not suing its subscribers, it is suing a manager of a media company who pirated their materials for his own profit. The argument about FW Blackmailing users is just an argument of the copyright violator in his defense. I am with Flava Works here.

Naw. Why do you think the users here are American? Besides, the market niche here and in the other site is pretty much the same (I know here we prefer the younger lovers), but there is no lack of sexual debates, or political debates, or whatever. Participation is very active over there. The mystery remains, from my POV. @TotallyOz responding to @Lucky says that lately we had a lot of participation, but it is just always the same few ones who monopolize the activity.

I just did a quick search for dude den and all I get is furniture for a cave man. Do you have more info to help me research?

I did not know Corbin Fisher was located in Vegas. I prefer the Atlanta crowd.
-
True. I always make the same mistake.

They produce web based series, gay black borderline porn. The production is professional quality and the acting is above average. Not my thing, but I find interesting and deserving of support this Atlanta based company. I am wondering whether there is a non Black equivalent, or we have here one more case of Black culture setting a new trend that soon ill become mainstream, jus as hip hop?

‘A mecca for prostitution’? A new bill proposes decriminalizing sex work in D.C. I hope the City Counsel passes this and is able to sneak it through the Congress confirmation approval process as they did with weed legalization. It would be exciting to reside in the city competing against Las Vegas!

So perhaps this is what he website needs to create some traffic. In the age of Trumpist White Supremacism, some racial controversy.

I like Eminem. However, let me point out that Black and Latino rappers have been speaking up against Trump for some time now. I like Eminen, but we do not need him to lecture us on White privilege. We should have been listening to the many others before him.

I found the Politics forum, thank you for letting me know about it. I see what you mean by trying to provoke participation and being left alone. So many posts with 0 comments!

I wish I was able to pledge allegiance under Obama, but I couldn't. At least I did it in a DC Court, the judge was a naturalized citizen, all the speeches were celebrating an America built by immigrants, one of the speakers had been in the White House team during the 8 years of Obama. For a couple of hors it was easy to forget that we are in Trump's America.

Ladies and Whores, as of today I have become officially an American citizen and registered independent voter in the District of Columbia.

I do like Boytoy. It is catchy, it is already established, and describes very well a market niche, which is very helpful to develop your content and identity.
-
I got your point. However I would expect that because those constraints in the real world, this space would be the place to share and celebrate our love for the youngins. Anyway, we are guessing and we do not have the big picture. As I pointed to in an earlier post, traffic and participation are not the same. @TotallyOz has the tools to add that piece to the analysis. Based on the data I receive about my blog's traffic, it seems there is a high traffic coming from abroad, specially South America. But still, it is not the big picture.

I can tell you are in a nostalgic mood.

You are still making a raw generalization. But I am not here to defend the other site and its people. My point remains. Why there is no participation here? @Suckrates makes some suggestions, but I do not think they explain anything. We all have fake identities here, who cares what others may think about our sexual preferences?
-
Well, that is un unfair characterization of those who participate in the other site, myself included. Rather than bitching about the other site, which seems to be the topic that brings the most traffic to this site, we should be brainstorming ways to increase the participation here. @Suckrates said it pretty well. I also tried to participate here before, but it is just silent and slow. I am making an extra effort now because of people like @Larstrupand @AdamSmith, who are banned over there. I do not have another option that hanging out here to know what is going on with them. I do like the more free atmosphere here. I do like a more liberal style and politics from the administration. But it is hard to me to project those compliments to participants who do not exist. How do you know that your community is better than the other, if your community is invisible or mute? The success of the other site has nothing to do with Trump. The participants are very diverse on politics, education, intelligence, sophistication, etc. etc. etc.. But the place is alive, that diverse crowd somewhat live together and creates a thrilling community. In a world of safe places and people afraid of being contradicted looking desperately for confirmation of their ideas and feelings, that diversity is a priceless treasure. Misunderstanding the other site's success is not going to help the traffic here. So the topic should be, what should be do to bring more traffic and participation here? Perhaps opening a forum for Politics for those into it it is not such a bad idea.

It sounds pretty much like the average Joe to me.

I did not know Tom Lehrer. Loving him.

I can’t believe I forgot to mention this !

Don't forget that many South American countries have been governed by military dictatorships until not so far ago. To speak of what I know best, in Argentina liberal democracy actually started in 1983. Police abuse is widespread against the poor and the minorities. The situation varies significantly not only from one country to other, but even inside a country, from one city to other. In Buenos Aires the standard is similar to a big American city like NYC or DC, you just substitute the Blacks by the poor. But if you move inside the country, the abuse against gays is rampant. This is even when the federal legislation is even more progressive than American laws in recognizing equal rights to LGBTQ.
