As a vampire myself, I don't mind the beach as long as there is shade and a handsome man to bring with me. I am really motivated to improve my Portuguese before heading back to the NE.

Thanks for the info, I am in Rio now and have spoken with another person tonight that also suggest 250r is the going price for programa+gozar.

Hold your horses...perhaps my Part II of Fortaleza trip will add it back on your list. Not a writer or a blogger, I wanted to contribute because I have received so much useful information from everyone.

Fortaleza Part I Fortaleza, in the Brazilian state of Ceará, is a popular domestic destination for Brazilians due to its stunning beaches and pleasant weather. However, its high crime rates have deterred many foreign visitors. Infrastructure problems, including poorly maintained roads, sidewalks, and tourist attractions, have also contributed to the decline in tourism. The COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted the industry, leading to a slow recovery. Out of all the Brazilian cities I have visited so far, Fortaleza seems to reflect what the majority of Brazilian cities are like outside of Rio and São Paulo. When the people I met in Fortaleza described the interior of Ceará, I realized how little of Brazil I have seen and know. The best part of my stay at the Holiday Inn is having a balcony to enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the horizon. The hotel is situated between Praia de Meireles and Praia de Iracema, with the beachfront heavily patrolled by local police both day and night. There's a lively night market vibe that's very fun to explore in the evening, with food, shopping, and live music. English is very uncommon in this city, but daily practice is making me more confident in my conversational skills, helping me connect better with the Brazilians I meet. Upon arriving at the green gates of the California Terma Club, I noticed a small watchtower and barbed wire strung across the outer walls. It felt like I was entering a prison complex. One has to push the doorbell and the guy in the watch tower will buzz you in. The sauna featured a mini bakery, a bar area, a small pool hall, a regular tv room, and a tv room playing adult videos. The smell of salgados is a constant in the air in CTC. Here is the disgusting part, the area where many free cabins and a couple of suites are located smells like piss and other bodily fluids. Changing into towels is mandatory at CTC for clients, which benefits no one except the mosquitoes. The open air feature of CTC means none of the room have a/c and the facility relies entirely on nature and a couple of fans for ventilation and airflow. The GPs are the next-door types, similar to what one would find in Bangu, some have a small belly and almost none are muscular. There was a Nigerian who is an exchange student working there at the time of my visit. One thing I noticed is that unlike in Rio/SP, the GPs do not approach clients 85% of the time. I was there for two nights, I did not find a GP that I like. Exiting CTC, you have to give the receipt to the guy in the tower and he will buzz you out.

Recife Recife, the capital of Pernambuco in Northeast Brazil, is often referred to as the "Venice of Brazil" due to its waterways and bridges. While in Recife, one is likely to visit Marco Zero and from there it only cost 10rs to take a water taxi to Parque de Esculturas Francisco Brennand, a small island featuring works of the famous Brazilian sculptor. I spent three days in this city with a Brazilian friend, with the main purpose of the trip being to meet him and lift his spirits. Depression and poverty can be a dangerous combination. Unfortunately, that also meant cutting back on my visits to saunas. I only visited Termas Boa Vista on my last night in the city, despite being a week night, the visit was a success. Uber is a must in this region of Brazil, the sun sets early in July, the touristic neighborhood of Recife felt okay but on the way to TBV, I passed through some questionable neighbors that look dangerous especially at night. TBV itself felt secured, clean, and the management is welcoming. The bar area in TBV had live music and the acoustics was pleasant. The drinks were about 1/2 the price of SP and Rio and the suite was superior in comparison. There were only about seven GPs working, in general the men in NE brazil felt very masculine, more tan, and don't flash their smile as freely as Cariocas. Despite with only 7 GP on premise, I had 3-4 candidates in mind. I came to an agreement with J very quickly and we went to the presidential suite. I was blown away by the amount of passion that came from J inside the suite, easily the best kisser I ever encountered in Brazil. As @ShivRoy stated in his report, the GPs accept 100r without haggling. It was the right choice to visit TBV on my last night and I wish I had more days in Recife because during the weekend, TBV stays open until 6 AM! Overall, I can see Recife becoming a repeat destination in the future.

The highlights of my trips are always fun to discuss and reminisce about, but like the weather in Brazil, they aren’t always filled with warmth and sunshine. There were a few disappointments during my time in São Paulo. For example, I invited C to my hotel after he got off work. At 5 PM, he confirmed he was coming, but 20 minutes later, he messaged me on WhatsApp saying he had to stay at work until 10 PM. He promised to spend the night the next day, but it never happened. I made arrangements to meet a GP from garotocomlocal at 1PM, he asked for the appointment to be at 3PM, later he furthered delayed it to 6:00PM, finally I canceled the appointment at 5:30PM when he tried to push it further back to 6:30PM. I gave him many chances because I found him extremely attractive, but for 650r I expect more from a self described "one of the best GPs in Brazil." The second GP I hired from garotocomlocal was a cute guy from Salvador. I love his boyish look, dark complexion, and curly hair. His apartment is perfectly located just 800 meters from Lagoa. When I arrived, he was washing dishes—not very sexy. I waited for him to finish, and then he showed me photos of his travels on his phone. During foreplay, he typed out long paragraphs on Google Translate for me to read. He kissed very well, but he had trouble getting hard and offered to bottom instead. I realized my sunk-cost and ended the programa early, got dressed, gave him 200r and left for Lagoa. If I could change one thing about Lagoa, it would be the acoustics. It would be much more enjoyable to sit in the bar area without worrying about damaging my eardrums. I arrived a little after 7PM on a Friday night, and only saw one new face as a potential hire. T just arrived from Rio today, he wants 250r for a regular programa, 400r with gozar. To which I said that 400r is a bit high, and T replied “That is why they told me to charge.” I thank him for his time and bid him good luck. Afterwards, a few more GPs offered their service with gozar at the regular 200r. This situation just had me confused, maybe there is a tier of GPs that are commanding 400r at the moment? SP had been fun but there were definitely some disappointments. Lagoa’s once-vibrant sauna scene seems to be losing its charm, as if the city's nightlife has grown stale. The conversations have become repetitive, and the energy that once pulsated through the venue feels noticeably diminished. In stark contrast, the saunas in Rio de Janeiro are bursting with fresh talent and excitement from my visit in March. Each visit promises a new experience, with innovative music, and lively performances. I would recommend SP for a 3 day visit and I am not in a hurry to go back given how amazing Rio currently is. Next destination is NE Brazil.

From my experience, the Brazilian goodbyes involves saying goodbye, then pecks on the cheek, say a few more words, then hug, then saying goodbye again.
-
I understand where you are coming from but ultimately, I do what I feel most comfortable with. I spend a lot of time kissing and foreplay, the sex does not come until later, by then the GP has done some work and I feel comfortable if I compensate them for that.

Today is São Paulo State Day, and as a result, Avenida Paulista has been transformed into a pedestrian-only street, creating a nightmare for Uber drivers. Waze kept directing the driver toward Avenida Paulista, so I spent 30 minutes in an Uber trying to reach a destination less than 3 km away. In the end, I decided to walk back to my hotel. I spent the rest of my morning on garotocomlocal. @Canadianbtmguy Did most of the heavy lifting in one of his previous posts, I simply copy and paste his opener (Olá, bom dia. Tudo bem? Estou no SP, vi seu anúncio e me interessei. Por favor, deixe-me saber se Vc está disponível hoje/amanhã, bem como seu caché. obrigado!) and continue the conversation from there. The price ranges from 300r to 650r, some provider charge extra if you ask for gozar. I arrived at Lagoa around 6:45PM, tonight is Karaoke night at Lagoa! Many here voiced their disdain for this event but it draws a crowd and the boys seem to have a great time. Between the clients and the boys tonight, the boys gave the more memorable performances of the night. C, the GP I hired yesterday, arrived in his street clothes. He wasn't here to work but to participate in the karaoke. C turned out to be a music enthusiast; he knew many songs by heart, shared some of his own compositions with me, and kindly provided English lyrics so I could follow along with the Karaoke. He also shared a funny tidbit about the chairs in Lagoa: "These chairs are great and perfect, actually, because you can do this." He then reached under my seat and poked me through one of the many holes. He stayed with me until he was ready to leave. Before leaving, he asked for 10 reais for the metro, and we then did one of those long Brazilian goodbye rituals. By the time C left, it was around 9 and the place was emptying out. I wanted. a programa before leaving, the first guy I approached wanted 250 and 500r w/ gozar. He was very handsome but look distracted when I was talking to him so it was an easy no from me. I ended up with a bodybuilder I met from a year ago.

I see your point and hear what you are trying to communicate. I am under no illusion that most of the GPs actually enjoy having the sex with clients, this as a job for them. So yes, I expect they are able to perform the job as they promise beforehand. Instead of either party feeling cheated, I think by ending the program earlier and still paying the GP an agreed upon amount is a fair compromise. There is no hold or a bind on the GP or client, instead it is an out for both parties when the programa does not go as agreed upon.

I saw this bar on my way to the hotel yesterday. A number of rainbow flags are displayed by businesses in the same neighbor and that makes me wonder if this is SP's gay village.

BTS also played a big part of craze, I can't believe the number of Brazilians I met that are learning Korean in the past few years! -

When one's Portuguese is still so basic, I find it best to unabashedly say before starting "hey, if you can't stay hard, we'll end the programa and I will pay you this amount instead"

The ridiculous ‘priority by law’ situation in Brazil

Traveling this year, upon arriving to my seat, I would find the entire row still empty but the overhead bin full. Flying is a madhouse nowadays. -
My flight from Austin to Houston was delayed by 40 minutes, which doesn’t sound like much, but when your layover is only 50 minutes and boarding ends 3 minutes before your plane lands, it can cause some stress. Luckily, during my mad dash to the next gate, I received a message informing me that they were holding the plane for an additional 40 minutes. All’s well that ends well. I arrived in São Paulo to a landscape shrouded in grey. The sky was a blanket of heavy clouds, dark and brooding. The cool weather was a welcome change from the Texan summer heat and humidity. The Heritage Hotel, often mentioned here, is where I will be staying on my first night. The front desk was kind enough to let me check in early. The location of this place is amazing—300 meters to Lagoa, and a 9-minute walk took me to the Frei Caneca Mall, where I was able to get a Brazilian SIM card at Claro and exchange some currency at Western Union. Dinner at La Tartine, just a 4-minute walk away, was delicious, and the vibe was perfect. The sky started drizzling around 7 PM when I decided to walk to Lagoa. Having never been to Lagoa on a rainy day, I was surprised how many clients there were tonight. On the other hand, I was disappointed by the number of Boys available. A lot of the same faces I remember from a year ago on my first visit, more weathered, and less enticing. There was one Boy I saw behind the glass shower that was stood out for me, he has 777 tattooed on his neck, but I never saw him again after he left the shower. I probably should had came at 6 PM. If someone asked me what I find most attractive about Brazilian men, I would say it's their smile. I’m a sucker for a great smile and could easily be won over by it. C's radiant smile, in conjunction with his bright hazel eyes, is the reason why I decided to hire him for a programa. Not a novice any longer, I sat with him and clearly type out on my phone all the things I expect from him and the consequences if he fail to live up to his promises. In the room C did well, flashing his beautiful smile and saying yes to all my requests. We finished slightly shy of an hour. We exchanged whatsapp and I took a uber to dinner.
