Whats really going on in Rio?
SolaceSoul replied to Badboy81's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
The current administration occupying Thr White House doesn’t give two shits about petitions. They barely even care about public opinion. -
Just now seeing this. Don’t align yourself with me. I don’t hold racist views by stereotyping darker persons as less attractive, desparate, or inherently more violent. And I don’t presume that someone is of some higher class, intelligence or beauty than others simply because they are Eastern European. And I certainly don’t find barely legal twinks that are built like 12 year old girls sexually attractive.

Dr. Drew exclaims here that people are overreacting about COVID-19, and should just listen to CDC and Dr. Fauci, instead of journalists (who, incidentally, interview Fauci and CDC officials). Well, Dr. Fauci has made it clear that Americans are not taking this pandemic and the risks seriously enough, and has sounded the alarm that it is going to get much worse in the USA before it gets better. CDC officials have stated that the discouragement or outright outlawing of gatherings of 50 persons or more recommendation given by the Trump administration is not going far enough to reduce or slow down the spread, and that a better recommendation (even a temporary mandatory requirement) would be no gatherings or events of more than 10 persons. About 375 people in Italy are dying of COVID-19 each week. In Spain, it’s almost reached 300 weekly. These countries each have about only 1/5th the population of the United States. How was that helpful to listen to? -
Bolsonaro Tests Positive For COVID 19
SolaceSoul replied to Lucky's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
After his own son goes on friendly (to them) Fox News to announce that his father tested positive for COVID-19? Yeah, let’s all believe that this authoritarian propagandist miraculously had a false positive first test and a negative second one immediately afterwards! -
Rio this weekend March 13-18
SolaceSoul replied to Riotastic's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Go to Point 202 on Monday. It’s the second best day of the week for that sauna, the first being Wednesday. The cabins should also be free on Mondays as well. -
Yes, I do believe it is noble to pay sex workers for the work that they do, especially at an actual sex work establishment. I would hope that there are others here who read this who agree. There are thousands who read this forum logged on, and probably thousand of others who aren’t logged on who read it as well. I post for the benefit of those who may read this and not understand that this is not okay — not for yours. You clearly are beyond self-reflection, when doubling down on poor behavior is your and attacking the messenger are your best defenses.
-
You certainly like to make a lot of assumptions in order to make yourself feel better. I, OTOH, am only going by what you literally posted here yourself, about you and your own actions. Unlike some here, I don’t have to post a play-by-play of my travel sexcapades (with easily identifiable information about the partners) in order to prove something or boost lagging self-esteem. I have more than enough posters that I actually respect here who contact me privately to either get or share information. Continue to enjoy your trips. Just pay sex workers for their work they do with you. Surely, if you can pay for a flight and accommodations, you can afford another $10.75 (x2) for a porn room romp.
-
I would completely expect someone like you to defend this behavior. No one “forced” a dick in his mouth. By his own admission, he’s 6’4 and 300 (and “in shape”), and the garotos were smaller. Pay sex workers in a sex worker establishment for their sex work with you. If you don’t want sex with them, just tell them no and walk away. If you want sex for free at a sauna in Rio with younger, attractive men, go to Rio G Spa and try your luck there. 50 reais would have amounted to only $10.75 USD today.
-
6’4”, 300 pounds is morbidly obese, not “in shape”, in any part of the world. Particularly for someone who is in his 20s. Trump (supposedly) is 6’3 and 237. We all know that’s not true, but even if he were 50-70 pounds more than that, he’d still be morbidly obese.
-
Truly bad form and quite an insult. The kind that gives gringos a bad name. So, you willing fucked around with 2 garotos de programa in the video / porn room of a payboy sauna, whom you already knew were working garotos, and then feigned outrage when they approached you for some money afterwards? And you refused to give them money for the work that they did? By your own admission, you’re at least 6’3 and a large guy. If you didn’t want the sexual activity from the known garotos who are there to make money from sex work (you knew they weren’t clients), couldn’t you have just said, “NÃO!” And walked away, or at least gently pushed them away from you? These sex workers didn’t force you to have oral sex with them in a place where you pay for sex with sex workers.. Did you think they just wanted to have sex with you because you are just so irresistibly handsome or interesting, and the rules somehow don’t apply to you? The drink after they asked to be paid for their sex work was a nice gesture, but they deserved to be paid for their work — whether you ejaculares or not. No matter WHO initiated the play. IMHO, even a $50R for each garoto would have been the decent thing to do.

Santo Domingo - urgent grindr question
SolaceSoul replied to 12is12's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
If it’s your first time going to the DR, you’re not a seasoned traveler to the DR, and you can easily be spotted by locals as a gringo tourist, I strongly advise you to stick on your first trip to a guide and do NOT bring unvetted strangers / trade / buggarones / anonymous online hookups back to your hotel room. Even the ones on Grindr and other hookup apps are saying that they just want a date, but those are the ones who consider themselves “middle class” or “educated” (relative to the DR), and are too proud to say that they want your money upfront. But what they will do is expect you to give them money after the deed or the date is done... for something like travel expenses, school, family medical emergency, fill in the blank for the excuse. (In my opinion, as someone who has gone there regularly for over 10 years, THOSE pretentious hustlers are the worst.) Dont believe me? Just try to have a “date” with one of those nice guys you meet on Grindr or even at a gay bar in SD, then do the deed, and try to get him to leave WITHOUT exchanging what he thinks is a reasonable sum for his time. Even if he told you upfront that he’s not looking for money and he isn’t that type of “low class” guy (social class — or the perception and belief of it — is a recurring, persistent obsession in the DR). -
The only venues in Rio or São Paulo where a garoto is accepting 50R for a programa are hustlers off the street, in parks, in adult theatres / cines or peep shows. And you’re really AYOR / playing with fire in those situations. If you’re thinking about doing this and you are not already an expert in BrazilIan street / favela trade, if you don’t fluently speak and understand Brazilian Portuguese with a local dialect, and if you look like a gringo outsider, then you might as well just sign your death certificate right now.

Helpful advice to Brazil travelers, as well as those living or staying there for extended periods: Please be careful NOT to yield to any temptation of taking photos of and / or posting photos of guys you see or meet in Brazil without their advance consent. Posting, publishing or taking photos of someone without that person’s permission is not only highly unethical, but also it is a crime in Brazil — that is enforced and is punishable by fines and jail time. The law in Brazil on this subject is one of the strictest laws in the world that criminalizes, with monetary and civil penalty, posting or taking or publishing an image of a private individual without their express consent. The only 3 exceptions are for (1) public figures performing their public functions or activities (not in private life), (2) people who are present in a public space or participating in a public event (unless the depicted person is the main focus of or singled out in the picture), and (3) people related to news events of public interest (only if necessary and reasonably justified and if the reported facts are true). [ NOTE: none of these 3 exceptions would apply to escorts, sex workers, sauna workers, Grindr profiles and/or guys whose photos that you may find on social media and think they are so hot that you feel tempted to post their photos on the internet without their permission. ] Even if the photo was previously taken, or was posted at another place, like that individual’s Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp account, if you do NOT have prior authorization to post that person’s photo in Brazil, do NOT even think about posting it. It doesn’t matter if the person is nude, shirtless or fully clothed. It does not even matter if your intentions were pure and innocent. If the Brazilian subject of the photo did not authorize you to post or publish the photo, then don’t do it or else you risk being criminally and civilly liable in Brazil. However, if the unauthorized photo is published in a derogatory or sexual manner or at a site related to sex, sex work, or pornography (like a site such as this one, for example), that makes the likelihood of conviction even easier and the penalty even harsher. “The generally accepted doctrine, legalized by case law, specifically recognizes the image right as an autonomous personality right. This means, the right to one’s own image is protected as such. Just taking someone's photo without their permission (in private or public space) can violate their image right and gives them a right to compensation for moral damage. Of course, copying, reproducing, transfering, distributing, publishing or commercializing such a picture are illegal and anti-constitutional acts. Simultaneous prejudice to honour or reputation is not necessary. If the image is commercially exploited or used in a derogatory way, this will only aggrave the situation, but it is not a requirement for infraction complaint.” https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Country_specific_consent_requirements

RIO Jan 21-31, 2020 Suggestions?
SolaceSoul replied to tassojunior's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
IMHO, Point 202 is one the top 3 rentmen saunas in Brazil. The other two are 117 and Lagoa in São Paulo. It is definitely worth a visit. Its best and busiest nights are Monday (when 117 s closed), and Wednesdays. Both of these nights are free cabin nights, and it will be very busy. Although I normally prefer 117 because of its garoto selection (I prefer more muscular types) and its size, 202 also has these types (as well as a higher concentration of smaller guys than 117), and is more of an intimate nightclub atmosphere. Also, the bartenders and bar keeps are very personable and most are eye candy. But as the saying goes, your mileage may vary. Don’t take the opinion of one poster on a brief visit as gospel. See for yourself. -
@tassojunior: Why are you posting face photos of sauna garotos on this and other publicly-accessible websites and message boards without their advance permission and approval? I know for a fact that at least one of these garotos did NOT give you permission to post his photo and never would do this. To say that he is not too pleased that you are doing this would be a gross understatement. And that’s just one. The others probably did not, either. What you are doing is highly unethical and improper. It also makes it harder for us good clients to form trusting relationships with garotos that may not ordinarily do sex work due to fears of something exactly like what you did happening to them. How would YOU like it if your photo and name were posted on a public site about sex tourism and prostitution without your permission? You’re still in Rio and still at the saunas. There’s still time. Trust and discretion are not just a one-way street.
-
Not to mention, Thursdays are notoriously slow days at both 117 and 202 — which has been well documented at this site and others for years. So, he gets there on a slow day and at a late hour, then complains about the size or quality of the crowd? Egads.
-
“The vast majority”? From where did you cull your statistical evidence? Citations? Link? Most BrazilIan garotos do not identify as gay. Maybe your beloved emaciated twinks might, but they are not in the overwhelming majority. The most definitive and exhaustive study on gay sex workers in Brazil, “Tourist Attractions: Performing Race and Masculinity in Brazil's Sexual Economy” by Gregory Mitchell, estimated that the percentage of men-for-men sex workers in Brazil who identify as gay or even bisexual is much smaller compared to those who identify as straight outside of their sex work.

You presume to believe that I have any love at all for the USA and (most of) its people. I am not required to do so, and have nothing to prove or measure to anyone. You can take your faux patriotism and shove it up your ass. Here is one thing that you forgot in what you oddly think is some kind of a “gotcha”: of all the people you chose to call a man of color, you picked a racist that is almost universally detested by people of color as an enemy, especially black and Latin people. You did that knowing that it would get a rise out of me — because not only is it outrageous and stupid, but it’s also offensive. And then you pat yourself on the back as if you accomplished something? Circular Logic. Also, entries on a message board forum are not a “blog”.
-
Your comments make no sense if you’re addressing them to me. I absolutely loathe your Dotard President. People of color are not the ones who voted him into office and definitely not black men. You should address your comments to your brethren like gay white men and white women who supported him in unusually large numbers.
-
“Assumptions”? Ignore to your own peril, but the poster gleefully posted a video of him having bareback sex with a garoto that he himself said he met at Lions. You cheered this video. Those aren’t assumptions. Those are facts entered into evidence. I’m not posting for your benefit, and couldn’t care less of you read or respond, but I’m doing so to indicate to others here who may read this that this is completely unacceptable behavior.

One thing that really absolutely gets my goat more than anything are these entitled Westerners who travel to places where darker, poorer people are much less privileged and then take advantage of them by doing things like using their monetary influence to have irresponsible, unsafe sex with them. And then BRAG about it. Or encourage this kind of behavior by patting those who do it on the back with “good job!” I don’t care if you’re on PrEP. The other party in a developing nation may not have access to top-shelf medical care like you, and also PrEP does zero for the spread of other deadly or chronic sexually transmitted diseases like hrpatitis or meningitis, or the new viral-resistant gonorrhea which are all on the rise with gays in the USA because they are back to barebacking. It’s not that hard to be a responsible whore or an ethical sex tourist.
-
Of course I am not your type. I’m over the age of 18, over 165 pounds, and I don’t need the little spending money you earn as a (really ineffective) public school teacher.
-
“Good for him” that he’s knowingly engaging in risky sexual practices and behavior with young men in developing countries who are economically desperate? What a real POS you are, but not that I’m surprised at all, based on your posts. You honestly better pray that we never personally meet.

Some smaller misshaped pots can’t find a lid in 117, so they venture off to Lions where lids like those pots. -

As my grandmother always said, “there’s a lid for every pot.”
