World's Shortest Flight by Jet???
wayout replied to ihpguy's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Very inventive as you say to keep things on schedule. I wonder if the flights they were able to get off on time were mostly empty because the passengers didn't have that option and couldn't get to the airport on time Do you think that with such a short distance they even raise the landing gear? -
I suppose the government will proceed cautiously until they have him in hand and then may be more aggressive in adding other charges. Not sure how this will play out as I am not quite sure if he is seen as a villain or hero by the majority of Americans, which may have some impact on how things proceed.

Glad you told us it was photo-shopped otherwise I would have just assume it was another act of random craziness by the kid

Unfortunately you really have no choice in the change as it eventually was going to be forced upon you. So you really did not fuck up and it is reasonable to say that Yahoo fucked it up for you. Here is what I found on their email help site when asking about changing to classic: Do I have to switch to the new Yahoo! Mail? Resolution Beginning the week of June 3, 2013, you will be prompted to switch to a new version of Yahoo! Mail, because older versions of Yahoo! Mail (including Mail Classic) are being discontinued. See how to switch to the latest version of Yahoo! Mail. While you can delay switching for several weeks, beginning July 9, 2013, you can only access your Yahoo! Mail if you switch to a new version. You should have received an email from Yahoo! letting you know if your account required a change. From: http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN8519&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1371904039305&locale=en_US&y=PROD_MAIL_ML And from what I gather, you can only forward Yahoo mails to another account if you have Yahoo Mail Plus ($19.99/yr).http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/manage/manage-67.html Btw, I have email accounts in Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail, and that is my order of preference for how they work best at this point in time for my needs.

Glad you made it through the trials and tribulations of the move relatively unscathed and only a few battle scars. Hope you enjoy your new "home". Kentucky is a beautiful state. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R64qNv9RYI

WOW, talk about a double boner buster. I can only imagine what he said when she asked him what he was doing. :-)

When humans bring a dog into their lives, they are most often looking for a companion; what they may not realize is that they are getting a teacher as well.

I tend to agree with RA1 about keep moving and add to that to always be aware of your surroundings and what is going on around you, especially if in a city you aren't that familiar with. I suppose there is a fine line to becoming paranoid or afraid to venture out and live life if one is too cautious but in today's world one has to at least be always alert on some level. I live in one of those 10 most dangerous cities and totally not surprised that it made the top 10. I haven't had any problems in the years I've lived here. Maybe it has been through being cautious, being aware of my surroundings, knowing where and where not to venture, or just pure luck.

CNN: James Gandolfini, 51, who won three Emmys for his portrayal of Tony Sprano on "The Sopranos", has died, according to HBO. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/james-gandolfini-dead-51-article-1.1377435 The Sopranos was a great series and I thought Gandolfini was perfect in that role. RIP

Vem Pra Rua/Come To The Streets - New Rallying Cry
wayout replied to ihpguy's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Very vivid images and certainly catches ones attention...as I am sure was the intent. I have to admit that if not for these posts I would have no idea of what is going on there. -
I'm sure he feels he is untouchable in his bubble world and that his money can solve all these pesky problems he runs into. At some point he may go too far, as AS suggests, and then it may be too late for him to wake up. I wonder if with such an accident would have resulted in an alcohol and drug test.

I saw this movie several years ago and enjoyed it very much, so much so that I even bought it on DVD (which says a great deal because I can count on one hand the number of non-porn DVDs I have purchased). If you haven't seen it, I think it is time well spent watching it.

A husband and wife were sitting watching a TV program about psychology and explaining the phenomenon of mixed emotions. The husband turned to his wife and said, Honey, that's a bunch of crap. I bet you can't tell me anything that will make me happy and sad at the same time. She said: Out of all your friends, you have the biggest dick

While looking into how it was done, I found out that it is really a hoax....a very well done hoax in my opinion (had to be if it got me, lol) http://www.snopes.com/photos/technology/escherian.asp http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/manmadewonders/ss/The-Escherian-Stairwell.htm Goes to show how what you see isn't what is always real no matter how convinced you may be that it is. My apologies..

After a particularly stressful day or week, what is your typical and/or favorite way to unwind to relieve that stress? A stiff drink or two (and if so, what is your preference for cocktails these days), recreational drugs, sex, music, movies, pigging out, other, etc? I'm sitting here after a fairly stressful day and am enjoying a couple vodka and tonics, and the world just seems so much better to me right now than earlier today Cheers....

I guess I am a sucker for a good love story, even with straight people Very enjoyable 12:12 spent. Thanks for posting it hi.

Great to hear. I've been kind of put off from Superman after so many years and was reluctant to see this one. However, if it is more serious than the others then that definitely peeks my interest and I may go see it.

Totally relate to where you are coming from on this. I suppose it is not unusual that teenagers of most generations are pretty unaware of things that came before them...perhaps as a way of differentiating themselves from their parents. I believe that with time many will start to expand their interests and horizons so there is hope. Btw, I think this also applies not only to music but often to "classic" movies (but perhaps to a lesser extent). To get to the bottom of it, though, perhaps we are both dinosaurs but I am ok with that.

It is not easy for me to cry or to even shed a tear, but I have to admit that this story did bring a tear to my eye and made me smile. These are the kind of stories we need to hear more of. Thanks Expat for making the end of my day so pleasurable.

I enjoyed watching that intro video, thanks for posting it. Neil is a very talented person. I have to wonder if he wouldn't be a good choice to host the Oscars.

If you do go there perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to get and keep on hand a small oxygen tank, just in case. Perhaps a bit much but just something to consider.

The last time I had a pizza delivered it was by a middle aged guy who was, unfortunately, the antithesis of the hot pizza deliery boy. A sign of the economy no doubt. Just remember that pizza is the perfect food because you can create one with all the food groups required in our daily diet. So how can it be bad for you
