  1. Regular auto maintenance is important… It’s time to add oil to the engine…
  2. All these guys definitely have something to be proud of
  3. Shouldn't this be part of the Political Joke for the Day thread? This guy is definitely a joke (and crazy too).
  4. Our Lesson For The Day:
  5. Hope all is well and hope to see you back soon Lurker.....
  6. Felicitations!!!!! Party time...
  7. Wow, I had no idea about pre-filtering existed like this...I learned something new today. It is interesting that other email providers don't seem to do this....yet Who really reads those "terms and conditions" we readily agree to when signing up for such accounts where this type of thing is covered. I suppose there are many things that are included in there that would give me pause if I read it thoroughly.
  8. Yummm, the caviar blinis, gravlax and frozen vodkas sounds wonderfully delicious Love the question even though it is not easy to answer. After some thought I can identify one particular favorite meal that does stand out in my memory. It was in Tuscany, in Arrezzo, where I had a fantastic meal that included saltimbocca with risotto, feta and truffles. I am trying to remember the name of the restaurant as it has been several years. I remember how each course was just perfect and complimented one another, each with a very nice wine pairing. There has been many others that were equal but that one jumps to mind at the moment.
  9. You would think it would be boring, and at times it can be, but overall it is fascinating to me. I only do it for high profile cases otherwise I would always be in front of the TV watching trials. I typically have it on in the background while doing various other things so I am somewhat aware of what is going on and will focus more on something when it gets interesting. As you say, to each their own and for me a synopsis just doesn't do it justice
  10. Definitely a sign of the times as you say. Is the trial being shown live on TV or the internet by any chance? I keep meaning to find out as I would like to watch some of it. Every so often a trial comes along in the past that I've been glued to the TV watching it (the Dr. Murray and the Casey Anthony cases in particular)
  11. Non-alcoholic cocktails are like a vibrator without the batteries... It fills you up, but lacks the buzz...!
  12. Putin is a pretty savvy politician and is playing both sides of the fence so to speak. He is avoiding, somewhat, confrontation with the US while not being seen to really be against what Snowden has done. I would bet that behind the scenes in the airport that Snowden is being treated as a VIP by the Russians and is being interrogated (perhaps not overtly though)
  13. I'm aware of her but have never seen one of her shows on the Food Network (at least all the way through) and haven't tried any of her recipes. So I would say I am pretty indifferent to her for the most part. Here is my overall take on her and her situation. As far as I know she isn't on the cutting edge of culinary arts or is particularly creative so what she has going for herself is an image and a personality more than anything else. Does she deserve what is happening to her? Probably not so much on a human level,as she has failings and weaknesses just like the rest of us. But on the business side of it, she should be very aware that everything is fair game when it comes to her image so by not taking good enough care to protect that image (especially if some of the claims are relatively recent) she faces the consequences. It comes down to a business decision based on dollars for those that do business with her and she knows that as well as anyone. I suspect that after the whole mess with her "coming out" as diabetic, the Food Network put her on double secret probation and the latest revelations was just too much to overlook.
  14. I will use a wine's point rating as a guide to try new wines. One needs something to help make a decision when faced with the myriad of choices at the wine shop. Do I always agree with the ratings, probably not but overall I think it does help me. I have considered however that perhaps a higher rating does influence my final opinion subconsciously but I really have no idea how much. Do you suppose we should conduct a similar study for escort tastings?
  15. The latest as of a half hour ago from CNN, on the whereabouts of Snowden NSA leaker Edward Snowden is in the transit zone at the international airport in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin says. "He is a transit passenger in the transit zone and is still there now," Putin said. "Mr. Snowden is a free man. The sooner he selects his final destination point, the better both for us and for himself." Putin said Snowden's arrival in Russia was "completely unexpected."
  16. Peanut Butter and Pickle Sandwich Would you try this?
  17. Following TY's suggestion, among the results here is one particular link that may be of particular use to you: http://www.texasbar.com/Content/NavigationMenu/ForThePublic/FreeLegalInformation/OurLegalSystem/HowtoSueinSmallClaimsCourt.pdf Here is part of that which seems to apply to you situation: You must generally, file suit in the county where the party that is being sued (the defendant) resides, or where the services you are complaining about were performed. They go on further to say you can call the Justice of the Peace of the county to get details. Good luck. Legal Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer PS...If this relates to failure to provide services by an escort, that would be an interesting case to hear
  18. Where in the world is Edward Snowden? A new TV reality show in the making....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozYg8vDTmkc
