Unfortunately, the "VIBING" between Vance and Walz gave a certain credibility to the lies and bullshit Vance was "delivering". I know Walz is the "nice guy" but the perception of his acceptance of the Vance charade was just a bridge too far for me.

I did read the whole thing, and found it thoughtful and intriguing. You are not the only one fearful of another Trump Presidency. Anyone familiar with ME knows I have been pretty much consumed since Trump lost the last one, and fearful he might return because his mission was UNfinished. Everything you wrote about Trump is True, and you would think any sane rational person WOULDN'T want him in power again. YET it appears a huge swath of America likes what this man represents, and wants him back in the White House. I truly believe they dont understand what it would mean FOR THEM, falsely believing that THEY will be exempted from any hard core actions Trump takes against citizens and non-citizens of this country. I think they believe that IF they are Trump supporters, nothing he does will be meant for THEM, so they continue to egg him on and lift him up to where it seems he already has one foot in the White house door. And even IF he loses, we will not be rid of him since he lost in 2020 and has been assaulting Americans and the democratic process since then, and will do the same if he loses 2024. So either way, we are damned to at least 4 more years of Trump, unless he loses and is sent to prison, which I dont believe will EVER happen with our current Supreme court. I dont think that Jack Smiths October surprise will have any effect on polling results or peoples opinions, since most people are set in their decision even IF they choose not to admit it. I dont know what has to happen to break the Trump fever in this country, or at least tilt favor substantially in Harris's direction. Any misstep she might have will tank HER numbers, but NOTHING he does will affect HIS.....Not even his wife wants to be his first lady, but that means nothing to his supporters as well.... So all we can do is pray for a miracle and cast our vote. In the aftermath of the debate, seems a good portion on Americans are not buying Vance's midwestern "nice makeover". Everything he said AND the way he said it seemed to contradict the person we know as JD Vance, the nasty, hateful, cynical, racist one.....His new persona didnt come across as authentic, but slick, polished and overly rehearsed. In the end, "like his fellow travelers in the con-man trade, Vance pretended to be a person he is not, selling views he does not hold, trying to persuade voters to believe something that is not true — anything to fuel his own political ambitions. He hoped to capitalize on the well-known penchant of Americans to “get conned again and again.” JD Vance showed himself to have no shame, even as he gave a thoroughly respectable BUT shameful debate performance. He came off more as "the Happy faced Assassin" than "the well intentioned American patriot".....

So it appears that the October Surprise is the resurfacing of Jack Smiths Jan 6th case against Trump, with NEW info being unsealed which badly damns Trump and shows his involvement and guilt in things that were NOT official duties..... Damning certainly, BUT will it change anything this close to the election ? I dont think so... it seems people just want to move past it and forget about it eventhough there was no accountibility for Trumps illegal, unlawful and Treasonous actions. Eyeliner is the least of JD's issues. He's smooth and polished, which makes all his lyin sound legitimate. The debate was more like his "audition" to be President, and his LIES flowed smooth as buttah.... It was a command performance for King Trump. While I am sorry to say, while he appeared to be honest, except for once when asked about his visit to China, Walz seemed scared, and awkward, NOT like the jovial , happy warrior we saw on the campaign trail. Whoever prepped him sucked all the joy out of him. His Vice Presidential "makeover" didnt suit him or fit well. However, I dont think either guys performance helped anyone still making a decision.
