Saunas in other Brazilian cities
Gotti replied to wncdemcub's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I've been to 512 2or3times, the last one around 5 years ago, very different from Rio-SP in a sense there was no drag-queens to be seen, not even a stage anywhere, just internet music in the background, surprisingly a good channel playng 70's classics (surprising because in Brazil the choices are always horrible, either terrible Brazilian music or horrible international techno-trance shit- yes, music is a deal-breaker for me). The place is small compared to Rio-SP, a dozen working boys at peak time and a hit or miss situation. I was in Curitiba for other reasons, not in a sex-exploration trip and I don't think is worth going out-o the way, unless one is in Brazil for months, with an unlimited supply of money and have seen too much of everything else. As Tomcal suggested, I would also skip Florianopolis, unless you are a knock-out (which you probably aren't) capable to entice the adorable eye candy all over the place for a free sex session. Too bad they are not on the saunas cause there are no saunas to be. I would be more selective in Brazil sex-scene out of the axis Rio-SP-Porto Alegre. Maybe Belo -Horizonte (where I have never been but there are a lot of garotos from there in other saunas). Salvador and other northern cities are an acquired taste both sex-wise and culturally. -
This same hotel 3or 4 years ago the rates were on the $200.00 range and the exchange rate, although more favorable, was not 300%of what it is today. Things certainly don't look good, it was recently reported that the glamuorous Copacabana Palace, the crown jewel of Brazilian hotels, is in the red.

Pavard the most delicious boy on the entire tournament. Griezman also adorable!

Just one sentence to resume the situation for all races in all places: Give them business and the will come (no pun intended). -
I rode the train to the airport in Sao Paulo (Guarulhos)
Gotti replied to Gotti's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
The road used by the shuttle is different from the road that reaches the airport from the city. Might have been built especially for the train (not 100% sure about it), I did not see much else around, so probably heavy traffic will not be an issue and the entire travel fits in the one hour time frame. Let's wait for other members posts to be sure about that. -
One important distinction is that is not exactly a train to the airport, but a vehicle of mass transportation between Sao Paulo and the city of Guarulhos, where the airport happens to be situatted. It envolves several transfers on the subway sistem (2 or3, depending where you are located) till you reach the train properly. The stop in Guarulhos is not walking distance to the airport, so involves a bus, sounds awful but actually isn't, since is a shuttle, is already there waiting for the train, gets filled quickly and leaves, for a less than 10 minutes ride. Costs: nothing if you are already on the subway system. Duration: less than an hour, including waiting for the train, that leaves each 20 minutes. Comfort: looks like a regular subway train. Wasn't crowded when I rode early in the morning, let's see if going stay this way. I had a regular size luggage, a carry-on and a back pack, it went on fine, if I had 2 regular size bags I would take an Uber. To short the story: is somewhat cumbersome, if you have discretionary income and plenty of time take an Uber, if you are in a budget take the train, if time is a concern also take the train, you can be sure to arrive in an hour, where the traffic god only knows, might take an hour, might take 3. If you are a first time visitor or is not familiar with the subway system skip the train.

Likeohmygod has downgraded Lagoa from AAA to BBB-
Gotti replied to likeohmygod's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Lagoa should not have been downgraded to BBB rate now, it should all have always been! Not to bang my own drum, but I've been writing about the attitude problem forever, as a matter of fact everytime I post about Lagoa I do mention the subject, how frustrating is for a visitor to lust after several pretty boys without having a chance of even making eye contact, especially after realizing they will never see anything like it in Rio. For the new members that did not bother researching the subject, I suggested a couple of strategies around the problem, like arriving early (Tomcal is also an "early arrival" evangelist), after 7PM is murder, the top boys will only have eyes for their preffered clients, how frustrating is be eyeing a boy all night and realize he actually never went up with anybody and just left the premises with one of his acquaintances, as a matter of fact he never changed to a towel (not long ago somebody at this forum contested the "dressed sauna boys" phenomenon at Lagoa), also might work, if you have the means, a vulgar display of power, like a Johnny Walker (red) magestically displayed at your table ( don't forget, a beer won't do it). Not that they will be terribly impressed, after all they are all so used to it, but might get you noticed. Have in mind that the knowledge that you accumulated in Rio's sauna scene is totally useless at Lagoa. To score a top boy right in the first night you have to do your research on other members experiences on this very particular spot and act properly! Kindly let's us know how you succeeded breaking the ice. Will make us all more wise and efficient! -
Just a clarification: I'm not into go go boys at all. I'm into lean physiques, swimmers bodies is as far as I go, and these types rarely gets booked as go-gos, promoters think that just the buffy types will do it for them, and Brazil is no exception, New York go-gos don't catch my fancy either. Also I do like Lagoa pretty boys, but I have to get the ones without much attitude, not an easy task, I must feel comfortable with my partner and because of that I have left the sauna empty handed in the past, but have had wonderful times also.

I guess not! Also on my desire list: Caua Raymond, that boy I posted a photo next to Gisele, exactly on that phase, nowadays he is kinda big for my taste, but I would not pass, and James Franco circa Spiderman years. Pretty masculine boys are my thing, preferably without attitude, but unfortunately in most cases, comes with the territory. Not to be on the impossible dream realm, years ago there was a boy at 117 that drove me crazy, Tomcal knows who he is and got a taste of him, of course!
-
No, I do not have a better example, cause I would pay R$300,00 and up for most of them!

Can't people figure out there is a pattern going on here? All cases of robbery or improper behavior reported here recently on this forum envolves people taking persons they haven't met before to their hotels/apartments. I think nobody should be so vulnerable anywhere on earth, much less in Brazil, kinda asking for trouble and living in an utopian universe. Wake up for reality. In the sex business, we, the buyers, are up to be wronged, is not the other way around.

Sanddunes is right, being a Sao Paulo native is the gold standard, they make the ideal sugar daddy, always promptly available, the ultimate payback for every Lagoa sauna boy worth their salt, which is quite different from other sauna boys (do your research!), regarding your personal attributes, you don't need any advice from anybody, apparently. By the way, at Lagoa is not that rare finding sauna boys as attractive as the go gos.
-
A sauna provides enough thrills for a newbie, go go boys out of the sauna ambient is more appropriate for a seasoned explorer, same with street-trade, sleep overs and even Grindr if you a clueless about the city, unless you are staying for a considerable amount of time, otherwise leave these other activities for a second visit. Regarding Lagoa boys there are a few threads here, the key words are obviously Lagoa and Sao Paulo on the title.
-
No you don't! Having pretty boys flocking to you the minute you arrive. Any newbie just could dream about that. They probably will leave empty handed if they don't act right.
-
Well, I managed to get a couple pictures(!), One by himself, naked getting out of a pool and one with Gisele Bundchen, totally upstaging her, IMHO. A doll among dolls!. By the way, I myself was not able to retrieve the naked Testino photos I mentioned before. There was a bunch of them and they have apparently been all removed from Google. Hopefully they will resurface some day.
-
Cheers! Keep'em coming!
-
If you are a newbie, be warned that is not that easy to land a Lagoa god. Do your homework reading attentively the posts about it on this forum and do it properly!
-
If you are proficient with links and downloading photos, which unfortunately I'm not, kindly try to get (and publish here) the naked Testino photos for everyone delight (loss of sleep included).

Nowadays you can easily watch your property live through the internet anywhere on Earth and record the thieves disarming your equipment. On the other hand people always find a way to overpass the most advanced system at banks everywhere and every once in a while somebody steals a Van Gogh or something, wondering if a refrigerator is worth a repeated action.
-
Although is high crime country is not lawless, people do get arrested and the police is delighted to show some work specially when they don't have to risk their life as is the case. Besides, a recurring pattern makes sense to purchase a security device for a fraction of the cost of the appliances that would record all activity. That said, for many reasons I would not recommend a purchase of property in a foreign country if you do not live there.

Your avatar is one of the hottest Brazilian TV actors right? Mario Testino knows about him too, I've seen him on Italian Vogue and Testino has shoot him totally naked (except for the dick), some time ago was possible to Google it, maybe still is, always to die for...
-
Probably the organizers count on city money/good will and the they only can get it in the low season, to boost tourism/hotel occupancy.
-
A refrigerator, a stove, several times? Not that hard to solve, no other option than people in the building.
-
Yes they do, actually the top ones are worth more than that, talking about Abercrombie & Fitch material, and only available at Lagoa, never in Rio. You don't see them every time though, you gotta get lucky, and loaded!
-
Definitely an inside job. I have friends with property in Brazil that has never anything stolen in more than a decade, you should had had notified the building manager or even the police. The problems with payments using a local checking account is accurate, a real problem, in the past was possible to work around if you had an account in an American bank, like Citybank, but I hear is no longer the case. By the way, is also a problem for a foreigner to have an American bank account in the US, at least in New York.
