Help the economy and yourself. Spend 240 Reais on boys. 3 programas @80Reais each Meio Mundo was usually cheaper. 50-80 117 80-120 But I haven't been in a bit. My heart still isn't where it should be at. I felt okay and went with a friend last night to 117 for about 2 1/2 hours. 80, 100 and 120 were the asking prices, 20-50 extra for a gozada/cumming. Today I'm exhausted, and not in a good way

3.77 today versus Greenback 4.23 against Euro. My friend from Europe who hasn't been here in 3 1/2 years cannot understand how Cariocas can manage with the price increases down here. We went past an a quilo restaurant in Lapa that was charging 7.25 reais for 100 grams. It is tough to find cheaper places for under 3.50 or even 4.0 reais for 100 grams.

Guanabara Bay - Too much, too late
ihpguy replied to mvan1's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I have a friend visiting from Munich who just arrived yesterday. He has spent 4 days in Sao Paulo and couldn't get over how great the center of the city looked near the Avenida Paulista. He hasn't been here for a bit over 3 years. He has been coming to Rio de Janeiro for 26 years so he a long history with this country. He has stayed with me many times over the past ten years. I had warned him how polluted Guanabara Bay had become. I don't think he believed me. He does now. The municipal government might have advertised that they had pulled 3.5 tons of refuse from the bay last week. But that was last week. There was more garbage floating in the bay than I have seen in quite a while yesterday afternoon. I think the hospitalized German sailing competitor is kind of proof that the Games organizers have dropped the ball. It is impossible to protect oneself from the polluted water and be competitive. -
Guanabara Bay - Too much, too late

I live on an island in Guanabara Bay. I bought my place in January 2004. Retired here permanently in 2009. I see the bay daily. I take the ferries at least 4 days weekly, and usually more. I read, write and speak Portuguese. Go ahead and castrate me for mixing up the lingo for link and cut and paste. True, I am a retired wedding florist. But that is not what I studied at university. And I am definitely not a PhD (PILED HIGHER AND DEEPER) in accountancy. We have gone through the dead fish stages here that are now taking place this weekend in Jacarepagua Lagoon right in front of the Olympic Park. And have many times taken place at Rodrigo de Freitas were the rowing, sculls and canoe will take place. I have seen the vast groupings of dead fish with my own eyes. Smelled them as well. I have read up on the matter in O Dia and O Globo papers. And as I live on Guanabara Bay, I take a very personal interest in the works to clean up the bay. And that is since I bought here in 2004. I do have friends here who are not just rentboys. So I do have a bit of experience on certain matters. When it comes to rentboys and saunas I definitely defer to those with more experience. As to the the civil engineering and city planning involved in the preparations for next year, I am very well read. I didn't know I ever was rumored to be a retired pimp. But thanks to the professor for the props. This isn't my 127 trip to Brasil. Actually, who the fuck cares? I do live here and have permanently for the last six years. -

I might be better not to cut and paste erroneous information. -
You can get a ticket at the bus stations at either end. In Sao Paulo, take the metro to the station TIETE. In Rio. the bus station Rodoviaria Novo Rio is easy to get to on many different bus lines, no metro stop is very close however. I have taken the bus many times back and forth. I find the trip less than interesting. Only interesting stop would be Aparecida and the Shrine there to Brasil's patron saint. The food at the bus stop is nothing but ordinary at best. Better is the pasta restaurant inside the terminal before you start your trip. Buses leaves at all hours. I normally take the night bus and sleep. I think the ride up and down to Petropolis is much nicer. But just my opinion,

Both crucial for the Olympics to connect various centers of competition. And this being Brasil, of course both behind schedule. I'm sure they will get it done, they will cut corners, doing a crappy job that after the Olympics will need further work, Just like the Maracana for the PanAm Games. http://www.cidadeolimpica.com.br/en/transolimpica-is-coming/ Trains start test stage on the line in June 2016 for an opening in July 2016. http://odia.ig.com.br/noticia/rio-de-janeiro/2015-06-10/primeiro-trem-da-linha-4-do-metro-comeca-a-circular-em-fase-de-testes.html

And at the end of the article, do not put credit to the 49% figure. The Boys lie, ans so do the politicians; as in the world over. The water is as dirty as ever. One need only take a look at the canal/open sewer running down the center of Avenida Presidente Vargas, that goes past the Maracana and Rodoviaria Novo Rio bus station before starting in the hills. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-3214072/Olympics-German-sailor-treated-infections-Rio-test-event.html There was an interview that I made reference to in a post a month or two back, with someone from the Olympic committee, that there was no way that the bay could have been cleaned up for the Olympics. Why? The same 500 Million that was budgeted for Guanabara Bay was also budgeted for the Deodoro facilities where they will have equestrian, pentathlon, canoe slalom, BMX and shooting. -

What a lousy article. Load of shit. mvan1 must not have been reading any of my posts concerning Guanabara Bay. Since they closed the landfill and have yet to open the new one in Seropedica, I think the figure is either 2 tons or 10 tons of garbage from trucks is dumped daily into Guanabara Bay. A report that 3.5 tons only during the sailing test events means that they metropolitan government is falling further behind. And of course no mention of the diseases that continue to make the competitors sick. -
"Free Credit" in Brazil...what it costs it's citizens!
ihpguy replied to a topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Not actually true. They shops will show the price, for example 49Reais x 12 mes.(months) - sem juros. Effective price being 588Reais. However, you can find the same items on line with free delivery for 5%, 10% 15% less or more of a discount. The problem is that many Brasilians are not sophisticated enough to buy on line and wait for delivery. Or perhaps the delivery will not even be made, they will be charged and then a lawsuit has to be entered into against the vendor or shipper. Last week I got an offer via email from Ricardo Electric for a washer/dryer for 1699 Reais. The price at Walmart was on line for 2499 Reais and at a Casas Bahia store the same item was being offered at 2999 Reais. Yesterday Walmart emailed me an offer for the same item for 2299Reais, spread over 12 months, no extra interest charges. As to monthly interest charges, I think I posted something a while back that the effective annual compounded rate is now up to around 400%. Yep. FOUR HUNDRED PERCENT, Not 40%. What I have found is that the prices in the stores are higher than the same stores, such as WalMart will sell on line. Depending on the price of the item purchased they will parcel the purchase out over 6 to 12 months. As long as the payments are made, there are no extra interest charges. However, if not made on time, then the penalties can be enormous. What always surpises me is that at a basic store like Lojas Americanas or Casa E Video, the cashier will ask if you would like to parcel out a smaller purchased item like a set of a half-dozen glasses for 50Reais over three monthly payments with no interest charges. Of course, they are hoping that you miss a payment. Due to the recession, the different auto manufacturers have been offering lower interest charges. Ditto the government with inclusive taxes on purchase. -
This is how bad Brazil's economy is!

Veja Magazine has a cover article with Lula and they are stating the figure of the amounts of payoffs/thefts at around 500 billion Reais. Yesterday's paper had an article on the top five accused politicos as to amounts stolen. All between 50 and 80 million Reais. And the son of surgeon Ivo Pitanguy ran over and killed a man who worked on the new subway line and was on his way home from the job. In the last few years he had 70 driving convictions. He should have been forbidden to drive after 7. The power of the payoff. Exchange rate is up to 3.66/1 yesterday. Come on down, Just watch out for the automobile drivers when walking anywhere. -

On a related matter, a.criminal lawyer I am friendly with told me that Lula had requested from a sittin federal judge a precautionary writ of habeas corpus for when he does get charged on this far-ranging federal investigation. How Dilma has continued to stay out of the gunsights? I haven't a clue. -

The shit hit the proverbial fan yesterday. Pressentially Cunha of the House of Deputies has been officially charged by the Brasilian Attorney General and has.been requested to turn over to the government rhe sum of 280 million Reais. Payoffs from Samsung for some ships built for Petrobras. Ex-President and current t Senator Fernando Colot has also been charged. There are many more politicians to be charged. The hits just keep on coming -

Dilma Rousseff might not have personally profited from Lava Jato and other corruption. But she had to have been blind or deaf, dumb and blind not to know there was something going down. Too many politicos were travelling around the world to their varied 2nd, 3rd and 4th vacation homes not to have noticed anything. She wasthe head of the nation's largest company after all. What has she been doing for the past five years concernin the refinery in Itaboraí? Now the scandal with Angra #3 nuclear installation? Besides eating fur pie of course, that old carpet muncher. -
BEWARE: My Debit Card Was Cloned Today
ihpguy replied to ihpguy's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I went to Citibank back in the States in 2014 and that type of account wasn't offered. I think you mentioned that you have your mortgage with them. I think the only way I wouldn't be charge a transaction fee was if I opened a brokerage account with them. My bank said that I'd have a new card in about a week. -
My debit card was cloned this morning. Partially my own fault trying to do as I was trying to do a withdrawal outside of normal business hours, about 8:25AM. I had already been to Bradesco and Banco do Brasil branches where employees were waiting to start their workdays. I then went into a Santander branch downtown where I was the only customer. After I was in front of a machine, someone came in after me. Young and and dressed okay. He must have remotely disabled my machine. Refused to give me the 1000Reais I had requested. This is the second time this has happened over the years. Both times they were early morning transactions were someone younger followed me into a branch. My US bank has already blocked the transaction and a new card is on its way.

RA1,.they used to swim in the bay. Since I bought my place in January 2004, Guanabara Bay had been getting cleaner. My beach consistently had the best readings for the entire bay. The northern reaches get some fresh water currents supposedly. But for the past 2 plus years things have regressed. This coincides with the closing of the metropolitan area's largest landfill and the return to dumping untreated refused from garbage trucks directly into the bay. Something else the Guardian failed to report.
-
More cut and paste drivel. I'm no expert. I only live on Guanabara Bay and can see and smell the water. It has gotten worse in the past three years. I won't even let my dogs swim on the water anymore. Where therê are few natural currents to move the water, it appears quite crappy. Or maybe just full of shit. And the new pipe.for sewage drainage into the ocean via Ipanema from Flamengo is still uncompleted. So that means raw sewage from Flamengo and associated favelas still runs into Guanabara Bay less than one year before the games and while test events are now taking place. In the future, with raw sewage redirected into the ocean off of the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon, what does this say about the politicians and the care for the future water quality?

I've flown on Azul and TAM this year. Same baggage rules. Only variables are.number of stops, price and.departure times. I suppose that TAM has better clubs if you qualify
