There is only one person who posted in this thread in favor of the subject you mentioned (men in advanced years are too old to hire younger male prostitutes). It was not I who wrote that post. In fact, I wrote a lengthy rebuttal against the concept expressed in that post. However, you responded "Wow. A thread on Boytoy where some guys are claiming the right to tell other guys who they can hook up with." Notice you used PLURAL "guys" in your post. Considering there are only two posts discussing this phenomenon, when you used the plural in your post, you obviously included my post in your allegation. I disagreed with the offending post and advised the poster as such in my response. Could you not understand that? What causes you to frequently come to this site to cause dissension? Is it a source of enjoyment for you to "stir the pot" so to speak?

We are all programmed by nature who we find attractive and desirable. We do not make a decision to choose a specific type of sexual partner or the age of a sexual partner. The only real choice factor in the matter would be abstinence or insufficient funds to pay the prostitute. Through this forum, many forum users recounted their travel experiences. Most of the reported travel experiences included meeting young men (legal aged) prostitutes in foreign destinations. Many from this forum travel mostly to South America or to Asia where gay men of any age can hire prostitutes that are satisfying. At the same time, the prostitutes earn money and earn opportunities they would not otherwise have. Who sets the rules for who is too old to enjoy young, legal aged prostitutes that are available for a price? There are no signs on any sauna door that says anything about age except that those who enter must be at least 18. Thus, if a 50-year-old man hired a 25-year-old man for sex, is that 25 years age difference something terrible? The age difference in the above question is a quarter of a century! Many would agree that a quarter century age difference is okay while many would think that a quarter century age difference is unacceptable. However, what if a 60-year-old man or a 70 year of man or older hired the same 25-year-old prostitute, would it be so terrible as implied in the quoted post? Aversion therapy was unsuccessfully attempted on gays for years. Some unorthodox places still practice aversion "therapy" but it never works. Again, we are programmed by nature to be who we are and programmed by nature as to who we find attractive, regardless of our age. It was not until 1973 that being gay was considered being mentally ill. Prior to that, many gays were either sent to mental hospitals if arrested for "lewd conduct" as an alternative to going to jail. Renowned psychiatrists now agree that nature programs a certain amount of life to be born gay. They also agree that no "therapy" can change who we find attractive, regardless of age. But going back to the original subject, who decides how many years difference is permissible for a young male prostitute to engage in a contract with an older man and vice versa? I generally agree with your posts but this one jumped the train tracks unless I am reading it incorrectly.

There is still available a fiction based movie released in 2015 called - The Age of Adaline - Many movies based on fiction are not far off from real life. The film is not gay themed. If it were, it would not have done well in the theaters as it did. If anyone has nothing better to do one of these days, you can rent the film on line. The name of the film is shown in the first line of this post. In the film, the main character exceeds the age of one hundred yet is out and about having romantic affairs as countless years go by. The film, despite it being fiction, touches on some of real life at least with respect to desires, regardless of age.

Lagoa, another disappointing "busy" night

Was London - Villa Gianni? Was Zurich - Paragonya? Was Barcelona - sauna Thermas? Those Brazilians really get to know many parts of the world! -
Lagoa, another disappointing "busy" night
mvan1 replied to mvan1's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Most of us who kept a sort of relationship with compatible garotos have experienced their sudden disappearance. Not all have disappeared but most have. To my pleasant surprise, I saw a rentmen.eu advertisement for two different Brazilian garotos in two different countries I visited this year. I was able to meet with one of them. What a lucky event. In other countries, garotos make a lot more money than they do in Brazilian saunas. -
Lagoa, another disappointing "busy" night
mvan1 replied to mvan1's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I agree, Lagoa is one of the better saunas in Brazil. The facility (Lagoa) is comprised of three separate houses. The three original owners were fortunate to find three adjoining houses with long term leases. The three separate houses were joined together to make one large facility known as Lagoa. Two of the original owners have died. Rodolfo is the sole owner now. There have been some recent "improvements" that I don't like but the changes are not my concern. I also agree that the new facility will not be as large as the current facility. -
Will you be so kind and define what it takes to "look wealthy" in your opinion. In my occupation dealing with numerous high-profile and wealthy clients I observed that no two clients are/were the same except for the fact that they are/were wealthy (over the years some have died). None of the clients behaved in an ostentatious manner but some are/were difficult and demanding. I would love to know your opinion on how someone looks wealthy.

If you like twinks, you can often find many on Friday nights at both Fragata and Lagoa. The "butch" garotos are easier to find on line.

I am not sure my messages got to you yesterday to report the problem with my being locked out of signing into the forum. I tried to sign in but the forum said I was not a forum member. I tried various ways to get signed in, I received five acknowledgment e-mails from the site about my attempts. Some of the emails said my account was blocked because I made too many attempts using the wrong password. The password was not wrong. Two other e-mails said my email was wrong but the messages came to my email anyway. The most humorous emails said that I should sign into my account to read the emails sent by the forum. Apparently, the person did not read why I contacted the site; I contacted because I could not sign in. Therefore, the instruction to me to sign into my account to read the messages was humorous. But, as William Shakespeare said, "all is well that ends well" I did some Google research and eventually got signed into the forum.

Lagoa, another disappointing "busy" night
mvan1 replied to mvan1's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
I don't know for sure but I think the internet ads have a lot to do with fewer guys found in the saunas. For example, if you go to the below Brazilian site link , you will find hundreds of Brazilian gatotos offering their "garoto de programa services. It is an advertising site that separates the garotos by cities in Brazil. If you click on the city where Lagoa is located (Sao Paulo) you will find 248 guys advertising. Some handsome guys are asking a bit less than is asked in the sauna. Therefore, 248 guys advertising in Sao Paulo must have a negative effect on Lagoa and Fragata as far as available garotos is concerned. The site shows many face and body photos. I recognized many of the garotos from the saunas. Here is the link: http://www.boytoy.com.br Incidentally, Rio has a huge amount of garotos on that site. Just open the site and click on the city you desire. -
Please see my new thread about my visit to Lagoa tonight. Because of so many disappointing visits to Lagoa over the past six months, including tonight, I will not be returning to Lagoa Friday night. I am not sure I will go to Lagoa until they open their new facility.

Lagoa, another disappointing "busy" night
mvan1 posted a topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
In a different thread about Lagoa started by a different poster, I ended my post as follows: I am currently in Brazil again and plan to go to Lagoa tonight. Remember, Wednesday and Friday are usually (not always) the busiest and best nights at Lagoa. My last few visits to Lagoa were disappointing. If the place is filled tonight and joyful, like it used to be in prior times, I will report back. I arrived at Lagoa tonight a little past six. There were hardly any customers or garotos. As time passed and within an hour, a few more clients and garotos arrived. Of the garotos at Lagoa tonight, there were about three garotos I thought looked pretty good until I saw one walk around acting effeminate which quickly made me lose interest in that one. Two other garotos looked nice but they were quickly snatched up by arriving clients. I stayed at Lagoa until a little past nine o'clock without engaging any garoto. There were several Brazilian friends at Lagoa tonight who I have known for about fifteen years. In between looking for garotos, we just talked about a lot of different things. My Brazilian friends commented about how Lagoa has had such disappointing nights over the past six months. Based on tonight's visit to Lagoa, I can now say that all of my visits to Lagoa during the past four trips (six months) were disappointing. On the other hand, if one likes twinks and effeminate garotos, there has not been a shortage of them at Lagoa during the same time period. To each his own. -
Lagoa is not "closing" as to "going out of business" - The sauna will be moved to a new facility. They are moving because their lease on the three houses that comprise the sauna is expiring. Rodolfo, the owner, has no other job or income. Although he is a doctor, he has not practiced medicine for more than twenty years. He depends on the income from the sauna for his day-to-day expensive travels and lifestyle. He will not close the sauna. He is working out a deal for a new facility located a few miles from Lagoa's present location. The new facility will be smaller than the present location. As soon as a firm commitment for the new facility is established, Rodolfo will be making numerous announcements where and when the new facility will open. Rodolfo does not want to lose any revenue because of the move. No, Rodolfo will not let that "gold mine" disintegrate as many other saunas have done over the years. I am currently in Brazil again and plan to go to Lagoa tonight. Remember, Wednesday and Friday are usually (not always)the busiest and best nights at Lagoa. My last few visits to Lagoa were disappointing. If the place is filled tonight and joyful, like it used to be in prior times, I will report back.

USA to Brasil. Which airport?
mvan1 replied to Bucknaway1614502762's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Good to see you back, Bucky - It is not necessary to first go to Sao Paulo en route to Rio. You were misinformed. United Airlines has flights from Philadelphia to Rio de Janeiro with a stop in Houston, Texas. American Airlines has flights from Philadelphia to Rio with a stop in Miami. You would be making a big mistake if you travel to Rio with a stop in Sao Paulo. You would likely have to change terminals and/or airports if you go to Sao Paulo en route to Rio. This is not good for a first-time traveler. Have a good trip. -

What a nasty response. Are you incapable of reading the screenshot I posted that shows the place is closed on Saturday and Sunday? Someone might be reading this forum and your posts. Those readers might want to visit that facility. Internet searches show that the establishment is closed on the weekend. Most reasonable people would believe the place was closed based on the posted information. It is simple to add a correction to an error showing for that facility. I was under the impression that you posted your experiences to share with forum members. Given your response, your postings appear to be little more than bragging rather than sharing. -

If you remember to say something to them the next time you go there about their ad, which is wrong. People might think they are closed on Saturday and Sunday, but, they are not closed. You could print the page where it shows that they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Sábado: cerrado Domingo: cerrado -

As much as I dislike Trump and his behavior, the form (Suspicious Activity Report - SAR) discussed in the article is a standard form that even a small dollar amount will trigger its filing. That amount is only $5,000.00. There were approximately two million SARs filed in 2017 against various people and entities that had dealings with Banks and Western Union, Paypal and similar type financial companies. As the article discussed, the government did nothing about the form filed against Trump and his buddy, Kuschner. With more than two million SAR documents filed in 2017, can anyone take a guess where the government would find the manpower to pursue any possible wrongdoing against any perpetrator or against the subject of such a SAR form? The form is really a scare tactic and has little meaning. Few SARs are ever pursued by the government. Thus, our hideous King Trump, remains quite quick and well, doing as he pleases, while appearing immune to any laws, especially the laws surrounding the Constitution of the U.S. It is a shame that the prestigious New York Times did not look into the uselessness of the form before the article sparked hope in some of its readers. If anyone wants to be bored to death about what a SAR is, here is a relatively short article that explains its purpose and its useless functions. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/suspicious-activity-report.asp More exciting nonsense reading: https://www.ffiec.gov/bsa_aml_infobase/pages_manual/olm_015.htm

Another blow to Brazil's economy
mvan1 replied to mvan1's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Older workers or younger workers losing their job is a negative hit to the economy - because paychecks stop. Approaching retirement does not mean the workers are not currently drawing a paycheck. When they get laid off, they will no longer have a paycheck. Hence, another hit to the economy. -
https://riotimesonline.com/brazil-news/rio-business/state-owned-companies-to-dissmiss-over-25000-employees/ With Brazil's economy in the pits, this layoff only ads more to the economic crises. And, it probably adds more garotos to the saunas looking for cash to survive since they will be laid off from their government job.

You are a bright guy and probably nice on top of that. However, your writing is unnecessarily difficult to read. By way of example in the first paragraph of your post that I quoted above YOU HAVE 64 WORDS in the first paragraph. Not even a textbook would contain 64 words in a paragraph. If you want most others to understand your input, you should shorten your paragraphs by not including several different subjects and thoughts. Sixty-four words in a casual paragraph are unreasonable. Please do not feel offended by my observation and suggestion. If you want people to understand your posts, you should break each thought and/or subject into a separate paragraph.

How Dating Apps Ruined Traveling — GQ Magazine
mvan1 replied to SolaceSoul's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Interesting article. So true for many of us. However, many of us travel with the specific expectation of a romantic adventure. In that case, the article is a confirmation of our intent, in many cases.
