  1. Or, considering it is for Trump, this guy might fit in just fine -
  2. Considering the short life expectancy of most people who work for Trump, how about someone from the past?
  3. Ja wohl, mein Doktor, das ist die wahrheit
  4. The other forum is not "shut down" and is not closed permanently. The owner temporarily closed regular access to the forum in order to make improvements to the site. If you access the site today, it is possible to see some of the improvements in progress that have been made since the site was temporarily shuttered. In other words, the site is in a state of hiatus.

  6. The term "alternative facts" is a disgusting term coined and often used by Trump and Conway to justify their lies. We will not soil this forum with those words, if you do not mind. What you wrote is not wrong. However, it over simplifies the deeds, and omits the paramount issues, of how the site was obtained from Hooboy's estate.
  7. "Daddy scraped up whatever remnants of a website he could get his hands on and started his own thing "in the name of Hooboy." ' While what you wrote is essentially true, I still contend: Your quote is subject to several meanings.
  8. "Daddy scraped up whatever remnants of a website he could get his hands on and started his own thing "in the name of Hooboy." ' The above quote is subject to several meanings. I think you and I are not "on the same page" so to speak when interpreting this quote. Usually, you and I agree. There is a whole lot more to the takeover than the above quoted sentence allows.
  9. You are sure about that, right?
  10. One omitted word changed an entire meaning - as you stated. Good observation!
  11. Please tell me you do not believe this.
  12. It is not only what I want - It was the comments from other posters who expressed an interest in the origin of the concept of a site devoted to meeting hustlers and related reviews of experiences after meeting said hustlers. Others wanted to know a little about Hooboy. Sprinkled in this thread is information about Hooboy which quantity will have to suffice, under the circumstances. If this thread had not gone off track and to the dogs, the newer readers would have learned the history of that pioneer also known as Hooboy. Obviously, now it is not going to happen.
  13. "Am I blind" That is a nice response to a reasonable request. Obviously, I was over optimistic in thinking this thread could get back on track.
  14. Thank you for stating that there are "continuous threads, and even multiple threads, about that site?' I assume you mean the Hooboy site. If you would be so kind as to let us know where we can find those threads it would be highly appreciated by me and probably by many others who use this site and who are interested in the pioneer known as Hooboy. I think this thread would have been a sort of tribute to the memory of Hooboy. Hooboy was a unique person with a unique idea that has served many in his former site and on this site. If there are other threads about him, I would like to read them. Oh, and this site is not discussed on that other site because of the personalities there. They are very controlling and, at times, illogical.
  15. Please let this thread stay on the subject of Hooboy and about the other site closing for a while. Thank you. There is a lot of fond memories and history in this thread concerning Hooboy, a pioneer of our interests. Please, do not spoil this thread with further unrelated issues. The owner of the forum will close or move this thread again if it does not stay on subject.
  16. While it is true there have been gay chat rooms for many years, it was HB who started the first chat room that discussed and gave details (and in many cases, reviews) of how and where to meet hustlers. That is the pioneer I wrote about. Go back and read my post and you will find this portion: "Try to imagine the novelty of HB venturing out in a new internet world and creating a chat site for gays who could converse with one another about almost anything they wanted to discuss. Of course, most of the discussions involved meeting escorts and/or hustlers, for want of a better word. Many discussions involved travel locations for gays." Those early day type chat rooms did not offer the information of specific escorts, names, addresses phone numbers and reviews of specific hustlers, etc like HB's site offered. You wrote about HB's site, "It was interesting and unique, but it wasn't a 'major gay chat room' and certainly wasn't even remotely close to first." In your opinion, his site might not meet what you define as "a major gay chat room" but to many others, it did meet those qualifications. Not everything is measured by the same yard stick (thank goodness). Like I wrote, let us give credit where credit is due. HB - RIP
  17. How did he get the site? One simple way for "daddy" to have taken possession of the site would have been if HB had a will or trust and ordered the site be given to daddy as a result of HB's death. However, HB died suddenly and without warning while vacationing and did not have a will or trust naming "daddy" as the successor owner of HB's site. Two, there was no contract or partnership agreement naming "daddy" as successor. Three, another way to have gained access would have been to buy the site from the heirs of HB. However, the site was unique. There was no other similar site of its kind. Thus, how could a fair and realistic value for purchase be placed on such an unknown product - the site? In negotiating to buy the site from the heirs of HB it would be possible to tell the heirs of HB that the site has virtually no value because it is just a play toy for a bunch of homosexuals and therefore, has little or no market value. Now that would not be a nice thing to do, if that what was done. Of course, people negotiate on many things. Both sides (the wanting buyer and the heirs who want to sell) must use sound judgement when negotiating a price. Four, of course there are other ways the site could have been transferred to the heirs. One way to know for sure would be to gain access to the probate records in Hawaii which would contain many things including any amounts paid to the heirs as a result of the disposition of the site to whoever got it from the estate of HB. Food for thought without an appetiser.
  18. For those of us who knew him, most of these posts are not at all preventing HB from resting in peace. Unfortunately, the article that was posted by RH was inappropriate because it contained many false statements. Other than for that post, most of the posts are fond memories of the creator of a unique communication method for gays. I can understand how new posters would not have the same feelings as those of us who knew HB. New posters cannot relate to how many of us feel about HB's memory of being the pioneer of the first major gay chat room in the world. Try to imagine the novelty of HB venturing out in a new internet world and creating a chat site for gays who could converse with one another about almost anything they wanted to discuss. Of course, most of the discussions involved meeting escorts and/or hustlers, for want of a better word. Many discussions involved travel locations for gays. HB created a unique world that new people now take for granted. Let us give credit to who deserves credit. No, @Kippy - writing about HB with fond memories is not inappropriate and does not prevent him from resting in peace. I feel that your post was well intended even though it was off base because you were not around when these sites were started.
  19. One of the biggest secrets no longer a secret: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/171445795/j-michael-jones
  20. I agree with you that the link is a dig at HB. Not only that, there are several totally false allegations in the article. The author of the article must not have had much to write about the day considering he invented a lot of the false nonsense about HB. The author should be ashamed of himself.
  21. Nope! http://archives.starbulletin.com/2005/03/04/news/story9.html "Michael Jones, who was known by his on-air name Michael Qseng, in honor of his mother, Magdalena Quiseng Jones, died of a heart attack while in a hotel pool in Bangkok." __________________________________________________________________________________ A real pioneer in the escort arena. He started what no one else thought of or had the balls to do.
  22. Sorry if I seem like a prude - but - when I travel, I travel business or first. With most U.S. air carriers, you get your own booth which makes it near impossible for other passengers to see what you watch. As I wrote, I do not understand why an airline or wifi personnel decide what a passenger should see over the aircraft wifi while the passenger is paying extra for a wifi signal furnished by the airline. My most recent experience with trying to access this and a few other sites on a long flight yielded insulting language and specifically named boytoy (and rentmen etc) as indecent websites. That is "over the top", as I see it. Church ladies should stay in church and away from watching these sites and mind their own business.
  23. The cynic in me says those who have contributed feel cheated and may not again contribute to a site that accepts donations then shuts its door without good cause.
  24. Those who think you are - - - crazy to go to Fragata - - - would have a different song to sing now, if they had been there last night. By the way, it was not only the "guy next door" type at Fragata last night. There were some muscle guys but most were good looking or handsome types rather than the muscle types so often found at Lagoa. I already have a small group of my Brazilian friends ready to make a renewal appearance tomorrow night at Fragata. Like I wrote, if Fragata lives up to its former tradition (Sunday and Tuesday = good nights), I will write an update.
  25. There was a time (for about twelve years) when I visited Fragata sauna whenever I was in Sao Paulo. During those initial twelve years, I enjoyed Fragata sauna far more than I enjoyed Lagoa sauna on other days of the week when Lagoa supposedly was the best sauna ("in the world"). Traditionally, Tuesday nights and Sunday nights were the busiest days of the week to visit Fragata during those early years. On those nights, Fragata was often filled with magnificent/handsome looking garotos. Fun was had by one and by all. However, about three years ago the garoto and client turnout at Fragata dwindled and became hit and miss and the crowds were, pathetically small. My being somewhat stubborn and loyal, I continued to visit Fragata at least a few times each year to see if it resumed its former fun place. Each time was a disappointment. About a year ago, I totally stopped visiting Fragata because it was a waste of time and effort to go there. Last week, one of my Brazilian friends told me he was going to Fragata "for old times sake" - - I wished him well. My friend reported back that he had a wonderful time almost as good as in the old days. I was skeptical, and decided to see for myself. Tonight I went to Fragata. My friend was correct. This being Sunday night, it was nearly as it was in the earlier years. What a shock I had tonight - - walking into Fragata was tantamount to watching a porno movie. Beautiful handsome guys, many with huge erect cocks, were standing around masturbating and many were making out (kissing and fondling) with clients in the hallways. Needless to say, I felt an inital shock but decided to join the fun, and fun I had. For those who visit Sao Paulo and go only to Lagoa, consider Fragata. You might be pleasantly surprised. Needless to say, I plan to return to Fragata Tuesday night to determine if the old tradition will also be in effect for next Tuesday. I will write an update if the Tuesday tradition holds.
