LOL, Romney does that 'concern for the underclass' thing so well: He told donors who paid as much as $50,000 to attend a Jackson, Miss., fundraiser that it was a good time to be a friend of the Obama campaign, but not a good time to be in the middle class. "I know that people in this room are probably doing relatively well, relative to folks across this country. But not everyone in America is doing so well right now," he said. "The waiters and waitresses that come in and out of this room and offer us refreshments — they're not having a good year." Romney, who struggled during the GOP primary to explain his suggestion that he doesn't care about the nation's very poor, spoke directly to the poor Monday. "We're the party of people who want to get rich," he said. "And we're also the party of people who want to care to help people from getting poor. We want to help the poor." http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hc299ZS0T0lNNSJq2yMW_NdsktWg?docId=f8ef9c68613c438e95b4edccc53c4c03

Not just any ole BF but one who's a superb cook. What more could you ask? Damn, I'm jealous!

I went back and watched several of the Obama videos that appear with JKANE's video link. Some of them seem pretty damned effective in defining Romney. Maybe that accounts for the diviation in poll results in swing states from the rest of the country. My problem is that they rarely run outside the contest states & I don't get to see them. How about if MER posters who live in states under seige by the campaigns use this thread to post a link to ads (both Repub and Dem) they find particularly interesting/effective so those of us in solid red or blue states can keep up with the election. Just a request.

From EXPAT's link: "Mitt Romney: Fuck you. ...Black people don't want free shit, you out of touch Dr. Reed Richards hair having motherfucker..." One question stands out: does Mittens really have Reed Richards hair? Inquiring minds want to know.

I dumped my land line about 3 years ago, Expat, after I finally had gotten comfortable with my cell. Like you, I simply can't see the point of having both a land line and a cell phone. Plus I rarely get those random sales calls to my cell, something that used to aggravate me with the land line.

If memory serves, Martha Kent hand made her son's super suit from the super threads of the blanket in which he was wrapped in the space capsule that carried him from Krypton. Any earthly cloth would have been vaporized by airfriction as Superboy zoomed about, a circumstance that, however desirable from our POV, the Kents deemed a bit too much for mid-century Smallville.

I just click on one of the pretty pictures in the banner ad and presto!, I'm in his room. Below his room window are pictures of all the models currently wroking the site; peruse and choose. But you're correct in your general premise. At 6 bucks a minute, credits discipline is essential to avoid bankruptcy, lol.

Hmmm...ok, they're talking about SA slang but I think they are actually located in Australia.

"Man sought in Walmart toe sucking." Wow, so simple even an old fart like me can do it. Thanks, Lookin.

Help like that would ease me right onto the floor. http://cocktails.abo...r/szrc_cktl.htm ---- P.S. Speaking of new stuff, I still haven't figured out how to embed a link in the text of a post (no line for that using the 'new' link button). I've seen others do it, so I know it must be possible. Any suggestions? (simple = better)

(sigh) I hate change.

@4Aces: Not entirely clear to me why you found the lad in question to be arrogant or manipulative. Seems like he was just doing what the cops had told him to do. @Marc: For a non-emergency situation & counting from initiation of the call, a 15 min arrival time off the 101 (after Beiber accidentally switched over to the I-10, exited and made a 180 change of direction on State Street) doesn't seem that bad. Short of diverting a helicopter, I'm not sure how much faster the cops could have arrived. Note that Beiber stated that traffic was slow. That stretch of road around the 101/I-10 interchange can be difficult to maneuver around in.

Surprised the hell out of me that he was still alive. Who would have guessed?

Ahahahahahaha...you're joking, right? I have not the slightest idea how to do a 'screen shot'. (See my numerous prior posts re my incompetency in all things electronic.) I did go back to poke around with the bar a bit and discovered that it is my 'favorites bar', not my tool bar. Sorry if my own ignorance of google nomenclature occasioned confusion on your end. Reconsidering the situation in light of yall's helpful advice, I've decided that I probably inadvertantly did something that allowed/invited Flirt to set up that hot link on the favorites bar. Hell, maybe I even did it myself; just poking around trying to figure out how the Favorites Bar works, I accidently created half a dozen 'favorites' buttons. I have absolutely no memory of doing any such thing but, in all honesty, that could be said about a lot of things I have objective proof of having done. Such are the perils of low brain oxygen. At any rate, I have followed 4Aces advice and deleted the demon spawn. I'll report any mysterious reappearance immediately (or as soon as I notice it and/or remember that it isn't supposed to be there, whichever comes first, lol).

Hugs to you too, Hito, and be sure to stay in touch. We worry when you just disappear like that.

Hathaway and Lewis:
-
Especially in Japan. Oddly themed cafe's seem to be common in Japan.
-
Sunday nights ( at least hereabouts) PBS's Masterpiece Theater is featuring Inspector Lewis accompanied again by his lanky & erudite sidekick Dectective Sergeant Hathaway. Personally, I find Hathaway sexy in an overeducated English sort of way. The series itself leaves Sgt. Hathaway's sexuality ambigious; there's some support for gay, for bi and for straight in his history as presented in the episodes thus far. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergeant_Hathaway It's not clear to me from the promo whether the current PBS season is new (to America) or a set of reruns.

USA! USA! USA!

Why can't Alexis Carrington Colby turn out to be the birth mother of Bobby's adopted son, what's-his-name? She could show up just in the nick of time for a battle-royal with J.R.

Echo what Expat said. Makes the whole thing make more sense....finally.

I was dumpster diving around the net killing time when I saw this article on new weight loss research in the WSJ and thought readers of this topic might find it of interest. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304458604577490943279845790.html

With all due deference to lookin's superior expertise in all matters electronic, I suspect this is Flirt's doing. The button sports my Flirt nic and a logo that mirrors F4F's style. And Google hasn't done this for MER, which I visit more often than Flirt. All you guys get from Google is a line in my autocomplete address dropdown.
