Yeah, but it seems to me if you're a company like Apple likes to pretend it is you pull a Henry Ford! Pay workers a living wage so they can afford to buy your product. Especially helpful in breaking the precious Chinese market wide open! And you become the employer of choice. Sure, conditions are shit everywhere in that hellhole, but you could become the place with workers dedicated for life, with much lower turnover, recruiting or training expenses than competitors. Or... you could make your workers so fucking miserable they throw themselves from your rooftops--for a couple more bucks profit per unit. The choice is Apple's to make and they've made it. And everyone smaller and without Apple's rabid niche following gets locked into that same path, because they do have to compete.

I did 800 cals a day for the majority of my weight loss, occasionally would feel slightly faint upon standing but no other side effects. Caffeine and some food (this fasting didn't seem too strict, and a little something to kick the furnace on then leave it only existing fat to burn is better than the furnace getting covered with cobwebs) kept me from getting headaches. I'm pretty much plateaued now but would like to lose at least another 10 pounds, 30 would be even better, so I'm kinda thinking about other things to try.

I keep thinking a photo is gorgeous then clicking in and thinking meh! (At best...) Then I watch the guy stare off to the side and move his lips as he's reading for a while, almost never replying to the text that scrolls by... then I close the window. In the TV world, there are teleprompters and something interesting and similar for interviews where it projects the interviewer over the interviewees' lens. Why hasn't somebody come up with a webcams that do this? Still, vague eye contact would only make it a little more interesting...

That is very true, but I'm pretty sure it's fair to say they make the most profit off those workers' misery. And for a company that fucking had Pixar create the 'fur' texture for the photos on their software boxes *so NO animals were exploited!* the continued relationship is most at odds with what their customers *like* to think of themselves and their favorite company! But hey, they don't have enough money to do right by their workers, clearly. Foreign or domestic.

I think it's a combination of the spike that always happens as the oil industry act like the somehow unforeseeable twice-yearly switchover between winter and summer blends is horrible government over-regulation and the nasty election cycle--the perfect time to drive their point home! Poor poor oil companies still can't get over the .01% drop in their profits over being forced to stop poisoning everything with lead, what, 20-30 years ago!

Hmm, that just got me thinking: BMW, Range Rover, probably others have cameras that can view all around the car, plus fairly powerful hard drive-based NAV/stereo systems... Why haven't any of them offered a security camera feature? At the very least it could record a few stills whenever there is motion...

Good point, I'm used to everybody being "short" so hadn't really noticed, but that's definitely a part of the WeHo Clone look. Maybe it's because they only have sex with each other... Certainly a lot more diversity at places like MJs.
