  1. Hi guys. I have a question for those of you familiar with the Philippines. If you were looking for a location as a possible home for retirement, what would be your first choice and why? Which would you advise staying away from? Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!
  2. Will soon be visiting Ibaque for a few weeks. I'll be staying at Hotel F25, suggested by GayGuides, have any of you stayed there?. Can anyone suggest "must see" attractions, restaurants, etc? Any info on gay life, bars, boys and how to find them, going rates, etc. I understand the city is very safe, anyone think otherwise? Housing and living expenses there seem very inexpensive so I'm also thinking about eyeing it as a possible retirement location. Thanks guys, any input would be much appreciated.
  3. This hotel is my "go-to" when in Jomtien. Have stayed many times and have always been very happy.
  4. I am a 68 year old gay man. I'm from the USA, retired, currently in Thailand. I'm exploring other options as a retirement location. Colombia has come to mind. I would appreciate any input from any gay expats living in Colombia - thoughts, insights, housing info, location recommendations, costs. etc. How have your experiences been, both positive and negative? Any info would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.
  5. Same for me in US
  6. I just spent 2 weeks in the Jomtien Complex for the third time this year. Each time I have been overwhelmed by the number of handsome, sexy guys available. All types, including many twinks. I didn't visit any of the massage places but they also had many stunning guys sitting outside.
  7. thank you guys
  8. Can anyone recommend some mid-range hotels in a safe, nice area? I have a Colombian friend who will be staying with me for a week. Do Medellin hotels have any problems with a local joiner? Thank you.
  9. Thanks everyone.
  10. How many times can a person from the US enter Thailand as a tourist in one year? I've already made 2 trips so far in 2023 and would like to return next month for Pattaya Pride. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks All arrivals are by air.
  11. I was a registered Republican from 1974 until 2020 when I changed my registration to Democrat. I don't understand what happened to the party I identified with for so long. It went from being fiscally conservative and moderate socially to a bunch of super right wing crazies who only want power for powers sake and to undo all the social advancements of the last 50 years. It seems that everything I read that makes me cringe is initiated by a Republican. They just don't seem to have any shame for the hateful things they spew. Their most recent act of absolute lunacy was to officially pass that resolution labeling the Jan 6 attack on the US Capitol and Legislators and threatening to hang the Vice-President as an act of "legitimate political discourse". In what world can it possibly be a legitimate anything. I blame a lot of it on the rise of the despicable, disgusting human being named Trump.
  12. Her appearances on the Graham Norton Show are some of the funniest interviews I've ever seen.
  13. All of the "Lord of the Rings" movies.
  14. I've received both doses of the Moderna vaccine. The only side effect was about 2 days of pain at the injection site from the second dose (nothing at all from the first). I work in a pharmacy/dme supplier so all employees were vaccinated. A fair percentage of my co-workers experienced fevers, chills, upset stomachs and lethargy that lasted 24-36 hours. I know the vaccines aren't 100% foolproof but I have to admit to feeling much more comfortable and grateful now that I've had it.
